Very underrated channel. Appreciate all you share.
So nice of you jm thankyou
Tony, cannot stress the benefit of putting in LED's instead of old flouros. They use a lot less electricity, and last a really long time. They are also brighter than flouros.
already looking into it mate for the summer needs to be done i think
Wow mango green can’t wait to see that. Been thinking to paint my Splitscreen that
I think the Volkswagen factory could not paint as well. It was great, Tony. Thankful .👍👍👏👏👏👈
haha maybe back in the day they didnt but they dont do a bad job these days
@@TonysRefinishingTV 😂
Great video Tony!
What pressure are you running, and what are your fan and fluid setup? Seems like you have your gun setup to apply at a lower and slower rate.
So great to see more content from you Tony. Lovely work.
More to come fella soon
Great video as always Tony!
I’m in the process of restoring a 71 bay camper van and your videos have been of great help!
I need your advice, my van is all primed with 2k and it will be all uniform with no patches or metal showing and sanded to 400 grid.
Can I get away with not having to use primer sealer before applying the base coat?
I’m not trying to cut corners, but not wanting to add an extra step if not needed.
You are right about all the time it takes to restore these vans, it’s been a 5 year project and I’m ready to be done with it!
Great video and explanations Tony
thanks buddy hope your well lad
Thanks Tony
very welcome darren

Wow so sweet video sir👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Welcome back 🙂
thanks good to be back
I tried the DevilBiss GPG-18C myself a few months back.. Personally wasnt a fan of it... Ive got a few DevilBiss guns and love them, But the GPG-18C, i just wasnt feeling it...
was waaaaay too slow for my liking, And i found it wasnt all that efficient on paint either... Was swapping PPS cups over quicker than it could fire the paint on hahaha.
Good vid mukka glad you're up and running again .All the best Dean 🤘🤘🤘🤘
thanks dean great to have you in chat mate
@@TonysRefinishingTV onwards and upwards Tony my man . Together success 🤝🤝🤝
Tony I have small compressor around 13cfm , what lvlp gun would you suggest to get the best atomisation on single stage paint please .
nice!!
Thanks!
HI Tony, it's great to see another video from you bud I know it's been a difficult time for you mate so I really appreciate that you took the time to do a video for us.
The GPG seem to put the primer on quite well but it did look a bit slow but you did mention that the primer was quite a thick mix so that could be why, I don't think the PRI is available new anymore as the GPG is the replacement. I haven't tried my Sata 100 for high build as yet but it seems to put WoW down ok and is a great gun for clearcoat👌👍
thanks buddy and the sata is great for both mate tbh just fancied trying something a little different tbh for once lol
Lol! have to same mate I was surprised to see you with a Devilbiss in your hand😟🤣
I use 2 Pro Lites for b/c and a FLG5 2.0 tip for primer but everyone has their opinions 😂
Nice work 👍👍
lol they do mate we all like what we like i guess
Nice to see you back Tony, i've been using the kapci primer just lately and to be fair i'm not overly impressed . I find it much harder too sand down than lechler high build but i'm going to carry on with it and see how it goes .
it may be a tad harder to sand down than the lechler il be honest i couldn't say its been years since i used theres but also you have to compare price point the lechler im sure is alot more so you'd expect a touch better performance ?
@@TonysRefinishingTV Oh forgot to say i also bought some Kapci clear now that does perform well no downsides with it.
👍👍
Which one did you go for mate 6030 or 6050
@@TonysRefinishingTV Not sure i think its the 6030 after watching one off your vids i bought some . I think the 6050 was more expensive so i thought i'd try the cheaper one first.
Yeah the 6030 is good stuff mate not to expensive very user friendly dries and polishes really well too
Really enjoy your vids. I’m hoping to paint my kit car, it’s on a spit having the glass work done with some filler to get flat. Would you use an epoxy on a fibreglass body to seal then high build and top coats. Not painted a fibreglass body before any tips would be appreciated. Thanks again.
honestly id use this in then link below mate its an epoxy spray filler and primer all in one were just about to use it in a tvr shell spsupplies.co.uk/product/evercoat-optex-super-build-41-primer-kit-4-7l/
@@TonysRefinishingTV Hi, thanks for getting back so quickly. My local paint supply shop advised using UPOXY SUPER*ETCH. I have used this successfully in the past on my Fiat Gamine, steel bodied, but was unsure on fibreglass. I will have a look at your suggestion thanks again look forward to the tvr re-paint.
Personally hate etch mate the superbuild will give you massive adhesion , huge build to block out and the properties of epoxy all in one winner in my opinion tbh we’ll be using it a lot soon on a lot of jobs
