The dead zones in particular are a game changer. Why does overwatch not explain these controls as a default? It feels criminal. Thank you for putting out this video. I’m forever grateful.
I have to add to the conversation of deadzone. Personal experience i think it’s just as helpful as a deadzone of 0. It ads a buffer against micro errors in aim leading to more intentional movement of your sticks. on top of the benefit of helping with stick drift
@ nah i keep my left at 0 for rotational aim assist but the right stick at 15 default because i personally feel like it helps keep my aim smooth at long range

I love the gamesir controller. I use the app and I have my inner deadzone at 0 and my outer deadzone at 53 and it feels so snappy and smooth and it helps make the sensitivity feel higher than it actually is which is a blessing cause the max sense in overwatch is low imo
I'm top 500 dps and i use fairly basic low sens settings. I even play dive heroes too like tracer and venture. But i dont have a choice as im a bit older and cant control fast sens anymore like when i was young. Works for me but I've never been called ximming 😂 so sad as a dps player. At least im consistent enough to be in masters.
@@giacomocodini2150 It's not about what's good. If you focus on sensitivity you're not looking on why you're actually losing games. Not to mention the playstyle between sensitivities can vary so you're messing with that too if you're making big changes constantly. Target priority, off angles, aim training in that custom game map (forgot the name) and just watching the lessons online then implementing them straight after will have the biggest impact on your gameplay. That said if you still want my sens it's here : 70/70 100 Aim Assist Strength 50 Window size 100 Aim assist Ease in 0 Aim Ease In 99 Aim Smoothing Dual Zone Deadzones I don't mess around with because I always play worse for some reason. So keep as default. But remember it's not the sens, just practice and learn what you can do differently. There's too much to talk about, but a big thing to climb is pick 3 main characters to play in a role that are consistently good then sticking to them. If the meta changes, you can change accordingly, but stay as consistent with characters if you can. All for today, good luck and remember it's not the settings.

you need to change the right stick inner deadzone to something between 8-12. if you have stick drift a lower deadzone is going to make it hard to aim lol
6:54 i’ve always wanted to make my ashe ads the same as my normal sens but i have no idea how. is there some conversion or should I just brute force it
On PC theres a specific # its like around 33 for widow and forty-something for ashe. But on console with aim assist and a smaller FOV its different. Try going into the range and adjusting it, whipping your crosshair around with and without scope, until it feels right. For me 55-65 feels right
Just change your deadzones to whatever suits you and your controller (usually you want to set it to the lowest setting to where you won't get drift which is usually like .8 I think)
Have you tried 98 smoothing? Its felt like crack to me for so long i hesitate to change it. And have you tried the Xbox elite 2 controller? That controller similarly feels like crack even though their lifespan is like a girl born in china
Yeah it's been removed for xbox players as it went against some type of guidelines to be licensed by xbox.. I was pretty disappointed at the time but there's still more value in the g7 se even without the customisable polling rate
do any of the controller brands you mentioned come with paddles? I’d love to get one but i pretty much have to have paddles on a controller bc of physical limitations preventing me from playing claw like most people do
is it worth trying to get good with this settings or just try a lower sens overall? i made a mistake and played for the longest time my Ashe without overriding the settings from all heroes so yeah kind of bad, im only plat btw so its not like im going against gm players but i feel really inconsistent sometimes with scoped crit acc like on the stats i had between 50 and 60 scoped acc and 15 to 30 crit acc, even got good feedback from mercys that played with me but i never felt confident i could hit some easy shots, sometimes i did great and others i would miss and made me feel in doubt every time i played that hero
Another thing i wanted to add. If your aim assist ease in is at 0 it will also prock the aim assist even when you arent moving your right joystick. So you could be trying to keep your crosshair still but if someone walks past the person your aiming at it can mess up your aim
honestly idk but jus do what’s best for you i took his settings and jus tweaked it a little bit like changing it to leaner and lowered it to like 90-80 n i feel so much better
@kaitofv also if I enable 1000hz on a pc can I use a headset on console? Because I only had mine set to the highest which I could also use a headset which I think was 250 or 500hz
@@ItzSoaRqt I’m not 100% sure if it’s still on there, very well could be, but I got mine after they removed it on Xbox. And no, 1000hz still disables headset, I do believe 500 doesn’t, but I haven’t tried it
you're definitely better than me, but I have a pretty good idea of what aim assist ease in is, and since you play a lot of ash, 100 aim assist ease in works really well with a low right stick inner deadzone, the game practically aims for you

As for the characters who work well with less than or equal to 50, I use exactly 50 to flick for characters that need really high sense (genji, reaper, junk, venture, queen, hog), and i use 30 or less for characters where enemies are fighting you up close (doom, ball, Zarya, mauga, dva)

Higher sens is better for pc, on controller you'll need as much control over your aim as possible. I'd say 68 sens is the sweet spot for controller.

Having toggle crouch bound on baptiste instead of crouch is also a gamechanger

On a switch i recommend the pro controller but keep in mind you can't be very competitive at 30 fps it's a huge desavandtage
