12:16 I like the 1964 latin spanish dub,the witch sounds very creepy,and even her laught was very scary bit it could be better if they dub her scream when she falls to her death and not only when the thunder hits her.

It’s a little confusing how the Witch’s scream is handled from dub to dub. Disney must’ve supplied different mixes where it wasn’t in the M&E track, and others where it was (as seems to be with most of the ’38 dubs and the ’62 Finnish one). Then you have the ones like the Hebrew dub, where it switches midway to the original scream. Either way, as a Swede both Swedish dubs just make me happy to listen to with their effort put into them. Though the French and German ones also stand out, in a good way.

Interesting to notice how the earliest dubs tend to keep the original final laugh and scream as she falls off the cliff from the English audio, but redubs tend to make screams of their own. The original Brazilian dub was probably the same, though sadly we can never know, as it was lost duo to being poorly recorded. It was the first dub ever made in Brazil, and they had to improvise quite a bit, like talking inside a bathroom in order to make echo among other things.

Really a shame that Finnish 1982 version is missing, I heard that was good. I do like the Finnish 1994 version, but one of the creepiest Witch's screams, along the original, is the Norwegian one 14:19 just listen her gasp here as she realises her doom 😨
Children from so many languages, I believe that Eleni Zafiriou in Greek in 1973 has played her, although in a heavy style, very realistically, as with Estellita Bel in Brazilian in 1965, and both were chosen because they played the same roles as the handkerchief !!!
