This is my fingerstyle guitar cover of “Fade To Black” by Metallica. This song is, in the opinion of many, a very significant song in the development of Metallica. Some identify it as their first slow song and it explores serious themes such as hopelessness and depression. I could have picked many other great songs by Metallica to arrange, but this one was my choice. I am using two guitars: a Standard 6 String and my 7 String Soprano Guitar, placed on the usual keyboard stand. Meg and I wanted to represent the darkness of “Fade To Black” in this video. To do so, not only did we shoot the clip in a black room but I also consumed two rolls of black tape to make my guitars extremely dark (haha). I believe the taping process took me about 4 hours!

Why feel so insecure? I'm sure there are lots of things on the guitar that Luca can't do and that he wishes that he could. No master guitar player is good at everything. And those who think they are good at everything are usually also arrogant as hell. Don't focus on what others can do well, focus on what you can do instead. Embrace your own gifts, accept your faults, if possible turn them into strengths, accept who you are as a player and you will do fine.

One of my closest friends Jake Creasy died in a freak accident 4 years ago today. We both used to play guitars in a band together and Fade to Black was our favorite song to cover. I dare say the two of us never played HALF as good as this artist can do by himself. I needed this today. Thank you RUclips algorithm. Bittersweet but my heart is full.
I didn't know him but I am glad he had great taste in music. Also he must've been a great person to be in a band with him. Rip Jake.

@@Drakonopia he was driving home. Crossing a small bridge over a creek. Somebody in oncoming traffic crossed over o to his lane. He had nowhere to go but into the bridge. Flipped and landed upside in a mere foot of water but unconscious. Drowned.

I come back to listen to this so often, at least 20 times a year. To play Fade to black which is an amazing peice of music in your own way and make it beautiful and interesting is true art and appreciacion for the original artists.
I've heard many attempts to pay homage to this masterpiece but none are as good as this.

As an engineering student in a mechatronics class, my biggest takeaway is that I need to design a capo that he can move with a foot pedal to pre-programmed distances without having to do so manually.

Engineers are great at taking a simple problem and complicating it. Why not just change the tuning. Or maybe replicating the strings in code. Like some sort of synthetic guitar. Maybe have a computer do the switching automatically. Maybe prerecord it so you don't have to play it...
My point is that the way he makes the music is the impressive part. If you make it easier, it loses value.

Скажите Как он выстраивает лежащую гитару, как играет на ней, не зажимая ничего,.. как происходит что все в тон и в тему? ..я не понимаю
@@user-kk8zr1do3u На второй гитаре семь струн, наверное где-то .012 калибра. Каждая струна настроена на необходимую ноту. Этого достаточно чтобы сыграть данную мелодию. Ну и иногда он каподастр перемещает
На этот крутяк только обзор не делай 😁, ещё и на 7 струнку у меня денег точно не хватит)
