@@strellettes8511 I would just guess that a hardcore WW1 game was never going to have a large audience. The game was really fun but prior to its release I didn't even know much about the first world war to begin with. I can only speak on this as an American growing up at that time, but WW1 wasn't something taught to us in school and really wasn't something you hear about very often. BF1 wouldn't come out for another few years which I remember being what brought much attention to the period and the war. Unlike BF1 though Verdun captured more accurately what it would have been like to fight on the western front which was poking your head over a ditch and dying almost immediately.
