Yeah I've heard so many say how much Verdun sucks when I asked them if they played it said stuff like "It's too accurate", "That sounds dumb", "Battlefield 1 is better" etc. But if you think about it we have better tastes for appreciating a game that the developers took time consideration for accuracy, player experience, soundtrack, visuals, there are just too many to list!

I have a hillarious story to tell you:
I am studying game design.
So, I was playing Verdun in college before the class started, about half an hour before the class, the unity teacher appeared and asked me:
"What game is that?"
"Oh, it's a WW1 game called Verdun."
"Is it like Battlefield 1?"
"No, this one came first and focus on realism."
"Uhm, let me try it for a bit."
_gets obliterated by lvl 100 players_
"Ok, I'm done, it's too realistic for me."
_fast forward to next week_
Am playing Verdun again
The teacher is chating with other students
"Oh, I am playing Battlefield 1, It's very realistic, you die in a couple shots, the automatics are slow..."
I am litteraly 4 meters from him playing Verdun.
