Greetings brother... trust all is well. Yes, the colour has worked out well, this is the darker Pelham Blue which I hoped would be a bit richer looking than the usual tint guitars tend to be done in. God bless, speak soon... Stu
Stuart, i'm completely blown away with how this guitar is coming along. That blue metalic body is just so gorgeous looking and those "Decals" look so amazing. Wow.
Hi Scouse... thank you for the kind comments, it certainly is working out very well and while there's still a bit to go, held back somewhat due to waiting on the Nitro paints to dry before the next stages. Yes, the decals are very nice, and a good price considering that you could not do as good a job using homemade desktop printing materials, let alone get anywhere near the same quality. Part 4 sees me handling sulphuric acid and chrome parts... regards: Stu
Very interesting watching the process from scratch. Lovely colour, I guessed blue but that was another level. Loved the finish on the neck too. Cant wait to watch the next one, very interested in the aging and roadweary process. Have a great week. Blessings
Hi Pete... not long back from my trip and looking forward to getting on with the relic part. It's a tricky thing to do well and there's a wee bit involved and because I'm dealing with Nitro clear-coat lacquers I will need them to dry for another 3-4 weeks before final cut and polish... and then put the whole thing together... ;-) Speak soon brother... take care Stu
Thanks Derek... just wait till I start scraping some of the paint off... I can almost hear the screams of... quick, somebody rescue that guitar body from that madman... regards: Stu
What a great channel and tutorials you have Sir ! May I ask where I could have some waterslide decals made similar to the ones you have , they look perfect !
Hi Lou - Thank you for the kind comments... the transfers come from a company called "Rothko and Frost" and it appears they deliver worldwide. If you just do a search for their name adding either transfers or decals at the end or (.com) and you should find them easily enough. I can't write out the actual web address because it will not get posted by RUclips. You will see that you can go with various styles of ready designed layouts and or design your own. They really are very good quality. When doing small printed areas its best to use capital letters if you want them to stand out better. They give you extra transfers so you get enough to do some tests should you make a mistake. Regards: Stu

Hi Rob, I totally understand, production work of ant media type is really mentally draining... keep going... look forward to hearing the results... best regards, Stu
Those decals are cool, having built many plastic models as a kid I could easily do that. The colour is great, really like it, decals are super cool, reminds me of building plastic model kits. Looking forward to the rest of the project. (stupid UT wanted me to use the American spelling of COLOUR...NEVER!).
Hi Weasel... that's strange, I replied to your message and then it just disappeared? Thanks for the comment... yes it is a lovely colour and the decals are really well made. Speaking of models... I just sold off a very large model railway layout (done for a TV series) it was a lot of fun building, painting and ageing everything needed... took over a year to build... now was that toematoe or tomato? bumper or fender? regards: Stu
@@StuGuitarChannel I have had that happen the last few days too, replied to a chap four times and each time it was deleted. I see it didn't remove part of my post either which I deleted so it posted about the decals twice. Do you have any videos of the layout, I am a train nut.
@@weasel6535 Hi Weasel - where are you? USA / UK ? If you private message me I'll send you free links to download the 3 programs, and or if you are in the UK I can send you a set of complimentary DVDs. The layout was designed around the LMS 1940-1960 era built in two sections. One was built to a good exhibition standard while the other half was built to show how realistic things could be done, burning buildings, rusty engines, weeds growing on the rusty rail bed tracks etc... Also filmed various railways of various gauges around UK and Scandinavia... regards: Stu
I was pretty close. I said medium to dark, not too saturated blue. More of a process of elimination than a guess. To be fair I said uncommon hue and you went with Pelham, so I was half wrong. I really like it though, for years I thought my forever tele would be blue like that even though it ended up a classic butterscotch. By the way, for Americans it’s hilarious to hear “DEEkalls” pronounced “deckles”, I’m ashamed say.
Hi Craig, you certainly where... yeh, you just can't beat having a Butterscotch Tele.... but I always fancied a blue one but never saw any that were already available... Still quite a bit to do but getting there... regards: Stu
Hi Nige, yeh, my wife is threatening to rescue the guitar from me... ;-) However, a lot of thought needs done when looking to do this so that it looks well. I know that probably sounds odd but I hope to be able to show the process and thinking that goes into this. I will say, I have seen relic work that just does not look that great... all subjective I suppose... Thanks for sticking with it... regards: Stu

Hello Stu. Yes it's coming on - I was hoping the colour would be blue as my fave MIM Strat is blue. Cheers for now.
thanks Rob...
