My 15 Yr old daughter suffers from this. The came about when she was seriously ill when she was 7 with a mystery illness. She was in and out of hospital and had a huge amount of tests and scans etc but it was extremely difficult even then to get her to cooperate. She felt everything was out of her control and that the doctors etc were being invasive to her body. She has some similar symptoms reoccurring now but even now she is older and knows medical interventions would only be to help she still says she would rather die than go to doctors or hospital for any help.
