  • Hi, friends!
In today’s video, I will talk about how I use a feelings wheel to help me name and manage my emotions better in my personal traveler’s notebook / sterling ink journal and my health and wellness hobonichi weeks. I also touch on why I find it especially helpful for someone who has been living with undiagnosed ADHD for most of their life.
I’d love to know if you’ve used something like a feelings wheel before. If so, what was your experience using it Was it helpful, distracting, or something else? If you have any feedback or requests for future videos, please let me know! Thanks for being here; I appreciate you! 💗

Thank you for making a video and guiding us through the use of the feelings wheel. I'm autistic and delve here and there in the journaling and planning community for helpful tips on how to keep track of time and establish healthy routines. The bit where you mentioned that ADHDers experience a lot of sadness over lost time--yes! I felt that too as a later realized Autistic adult. I will save this video for future reference when using the wheel for times I experience alexithymia. Thanks for the research source footnotes you added to the video, really helpful.

Thank you for your kind words! I’m so glad that you’ve found it helpful. I had heard about the feelings wheel for a while, but didn’t think much about it for so long, because I’ve been journalling about my thoughts for years and didn’t think I’d need to use it. Turns out, my vocabulary was pretty limited, and I think this wheel has really unlocked a new level of depth in my personal reflections. Thanks again for being here. I appreciate you!

I've never used a feelings wheel before but it sounds like a really good tool, I might print one out to use as a resource for myself. I don't have a preference for which comes first but I'm definitely interested in both the Traveler's Notebook flip and the bathroom makeover.

I’ve really grown to appreciate the feelings wheel! If you end up using it, I’d be curious to hear what you think about using it. :) Thank you for always being open for everything. You’re the best! 🥰

This is so helpful, especially for me as a person who struggles with alexithymia! I'm definitely copying this wheel into my commonplace notebook. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you for taking the time to comment! I love the idea of adding it into your commonplace notebook! 🤩 If you end up finding it helpful (or not helpful), I’d be so curious to know! Thanks again for stopping by. I appreciate you! 💗

This was very interesting and you explained everything so well. I'm also an overthinker too and writing help to destress and break things down.

Thank you so much for the kind feedback! 🥰 I agree that writing things down can help to de-stress and break things down. I like how I can only think as fast as I write (which is slower than I can type), so it forces me to slow down as well. 🐢

Your channel is a blessing. I actually printed off the same wheel about a month ago for reflection in my journal...although, I haven't used it yet. I forgot about it until watching this. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I wasn’t a fan of them when I was first introduced to them, but then a therapist pulled it out during a session when she asked me how I was feeling and saw me struggling to respond. I hope you find it helpful for helping to manage your anxiety 💗

Great insight thanks so much for sharing. Live with a neurological illness and I find my vocabulary is disappearing so really find the idea of the wheel so supportive to expand on my journaling and understand my feelings. I enjoy and appreciate all your videos so happy to go with whatever will bring you the most fun but do want to know about your bathroom updates as well as see your flip-through 🙏🏽🫶
