    I was in the same boat, for pretty much the same reason. I’m still using it though: after some soul-searching I am now tracking my single goal of the year: health. Which is 3 subgoals (healthy finances, healthy me and healthy home) I dedicate 1 quarter to rotate through the 3 subgoals, and my Weeks is where I track ideas, progress, wins and fails (because a fail can be as much of a win as anything). And this works great for me ❤

It’s really great that you were able to distill down what you wanted to track until one singular goal - and health is such an important one that has so many benefits to building an awareness of! What are some things you’re tracking under each of those subgoals? Totally agree that tracking both wins and “fails” is valuable. Sounds like you’ve got a great setup! 🤩

    i love this style video…you always provide a learning experience for the viewer. i also love that you were able to salvage your beautiful weeks planner. it has inspired me to pull mine out and add some projects bouncing around in my head. your TSL pen case is developing a beautiful patina. i hope you’re pleased with the progression. thank you for sharing your thoughts and wisdom! 😊

I’m so glad that you find my videos helpful and that you were inspired to pull yours out! 🥹 I’m also relieved that I managed to salvage my Weeks - I felt guilty about it for a very long time before I finally acknowledged that I could either change it, or abandon it and move on from the guilt. I am so pleased about how my TSL pen case is aging. 🥹 It gets softer each day and the zipper shows no sign of wearing down.

    Thank you for the insight. I think I am the same. I am not dirty. I just have to much clutter and that has me in paralysis. So, there is anxiety on not getting things done. When you declutter, I’d like to see your process for starting. Great content! ❤

    Thank you for sharing your struggle and process and learnings! It really hit home for me because my house is probably the same--clean but cluttered, full of things I cannot release for whatever reason (from vintage sewing machines I am fixing to old planners... I have too much stuff) and I feel ashamed of my clutter when people come over (it is a rental so we have to move and potential renters keep coming by to see the place and I always feel uncomfortable even when people aren't being all judgemental verbally. But "sorting through" is indeed ovetwhelming). I just wanted to say, If the planner helped you to reach different insights about what you think the problem really is, then it has already served it's purpose and it's okay to put it down and that is not wasteful. Not at all.
    But of course hobonichi paper is so lovely and it is a real joy writing on it so of course the interior design idea is a great intuitive adjustment to work on the same issue but from a vision building/energy-creating perspective. I hope it will help unlock some inner joy to reach some vision of what you want to do with your space. Thanks for sharing your process~

      Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! Moving can be such a stressful process, and having strangers walking through your space can be vulnerable experience. I hope you can be kind to yourself during this awkward (and temporary!) phase. There are reasons why you’ve kept the things you have kept, and that’s okay! If those reasons change, then you can re-evaluate. 💓
      Thank you for the kind words about my planner pivot. You’re right! The paper is such a joy to work with, and taking the time to record my thoughts on images that inspire me, rather that note them in my head and forget about it as soon as I look away, has been more help than I was expecting. It’s also motivating me to kick off some projects I’ve been meaning to start, but was avoiding bc the amount of steps and work involved in doing them made it feel daunting.
      I’m wishing you all the best on your upcoming move, and I hope the home tours from potential new renters come to an end, soon!

    If your partner was comfortable with it, I think a vlog style video about how you use your food/meal planner would be interesting. maybe you could include clips whenever either of you are in that planner and maybe some snippets of your meals and grocery shopping.
    i really struggle with keeping on top of house work. i think i have the opposite problem where my house is pretty organized but it's actually just dirty. i'm big on decluttering and organizing and find that stuff fun but getting around to vacuuming, cleaning, and changing linens is where i struggle.
    i like the way you've pivoted your home and garden journal, the mood boards and inspo note taking is a great idea. i think i need to pivot my content planner because it's not really working out for me like i had hoped.

      Thank you - I love that suggestion! I might try that in the future bc it is satisfying to start with a full fridge and see it slowly whittle down over the two weeks.
      Can you come over and declutter / organize my space? 😂 I really wish I found it fun bc it would make my life a lot easier. Every time I’ve tired to declutter, I get very overwhelmed, give up halfway, and then shove everything into boxes and put them out of sight.
      Thanks for the feedback on my home and garden pivot. I felt bad for letting it down and collect dust, so at least now I’m feeling motivated to use it again. I look forward to seeing what you do if you pivot your content planner. I’m still interested in setting something up at some point and I’ve found your past / current versions very inspiring as it is!

      @@LittleCocoStudio I actually love decluttering for friends but I do get some anxiety about throwing away stuff they wouldn't want to toss and also about pushing people too much to let things go that they aren't ready to let go. Those things come easy to me but I know it doesn't come easy for a lot of other people. I have the mindset that the physical clutter causes me mental clutter and my mental health is my priority.

    Clutter is so stressful, we moved into our house in September and are still in the process of unpacking. Most of my boxes havent been opened in 5 years since I left my home city and my partner's brother packed his boxes, so its a lucky dip half the time as to what we find!

      Clutter is stressful! I’m used to living in clutter, so it didn’t really occur to me that it was a stressor until I lived someone who is a minimalist. 😅 Normally, I take months (and sometimes years) to unpack certain boxes when I move, but in our current home, it was kind of a blessing that we had so little storage - it meant we couldn’t shove boxes into a space to deal with later. Now, the lack of storage is catching up to me, bc it means I don’t have places to put things 😅 I hope the rest of your unpacking goes well as you settle into your new house. 💓

    I am switching my techo to be a sketch/zentangle journal. I'm not using it as a planner at this stage and I don't want it to go to waste. So I can relate.!! Thanks for sharing!

      What a great idea and use for your techo; Zentangles look very fun and therapeutic! There’s something so sweet about the A6 size that I’m incredibly drawn to, and it’s been a great playground for my pens, inks, and sketches. I keep meaning to try water colour and/or gouache paints in it, but lately my inks have felt more accessible and easier to get started with.

      @@LittleCocoStudio one of my early "lap crafts" after my accident was watercolor. But I got so tired of setting stuff up. Then I remembered fountain pens and then I was a goner. Ha ha. No setup or takedown!

    Thank you for another honest and reflective video! They’ve become a self care ritual at the end of the week, and change is a great prompt for my own journaling! Also, home decor and organization is another interest/hobby of mine so I am all about that if you upload videos on that topic.     I appreciate how you walked through your intentions, and spoke about why your planner failed - and I wouldn't say it was a fail. LOL! It was something you tried that ended up not serving the purpose intended. Although I keep everything all in one place, your video spoke to me with your explanation of the stages of change. So many times I start something, and never finish. Also, your content has been interesting to me because you are bringing in things like ACT therapy and SOC. Thank you!

      Thank you! It’s been a lot of fun to put together, and I feel like I’m starting to notice things beyond “I just like this”. I’ve been mainly getting my images from Pinterest and FB groups / pages (e.g. home and garden magazine). I never thought I’d see myself preferring FB over IG, but I like using FB for their groups and marketplace! I don’t have IG anymore, otherwise that’s the other place I would have gotten my inspiration. Something I need to go back and do is include credits for where I found the photos from!

    interesting. The piece I think you are missing is to not only make the list but use your calendar and actually block the time. Without that a to do list is nothing but a list. if something is on your calendar it will get done.

      Great suggestion - thank you! I‘ve tried using a wall calendar before in the past and it hasn’t stuck, but I’m wondering if maybe keeping it in by the front entrance isn’t part of the issue since I’m not seeing it as often as I would if I kept it in a common area that I could update more frequently. 🤔
