In answer to Jo's question, if you want to drink water from a stream on a hill or a mountain make sure you take it from near the summit. Animals tend to urinate in streams (or worse) which can give you E. coli. Sheep and other creatures may also die further up which contaminates the water. Best to boil it. Bolts for kitchen worktops are called "toggle bolts". 😉

I bought waterproof trousers and waterproof jacket a few years back and now run in any weather all year round. Don't worry about breathability of jacket/trousers as when you sweat, and it's raining, the clothes can't get rid of the moisture anyway. Another Sunday trip back to sports shop for more gear 🙂 If it's not too late: seal the top and bottom of the worktop to help stop the warping (cupping) of the wood as humidity and seasons change. Especially in the kitchen environment. Looking forward to seeing the roaster up and running.

General rule is, only take water, for straight drinking, from a waterfall, on a fast running stream, and from the falling water, not the pool at the base. We did take water from an ideal position, but, although there were no side effects from the water, it was disconcerting, about 1K feet higher, to find a dead sheep in the stream, just below the dam. Fast running, downhill, splashing, falling, splashing, breaking the water up, nature's sewage works. There are bottles that can be bought, they filter the water as it enters the bottle, and Claire Beare seems to have no problems. She is on YouTubby as well.

Try sautéing onions for a bit then toss in saurerkraught and cook together before using it on your grilled cheese....adds great flavor to you sandwich!!
There's no stopping William now. That countertop really came out beautiful But color me confused, I thought you guys moved into a house. I live in Florida and have taken three or four Narrowboat (Hotel-boats)holidays and they've been the very best vacations I've ever had.

William is such a sweetheart and is obviously going to be a marine biologist ;) I make my own sauerkraut, its really easy and means you always have a veggie dish ready to eat. Yesterday I made white cabbage and pineapple kraut with turmeric, ginger and caraway. Its addictive!

I still wear shorts running in the mountains in winter lol, I,ll stick a pair of waterproof pants over them if it’s too grim, I do get comments for running in the lakes in shorts n T-shirt in most conditions lol
