Only Life's Too Short could make a Hytric cooking pot mod sound like a life hack! 😂 Between the pricey bin bags and the eternal quest for 5L bottled water, it’s a chaotic but strangely relatable ride. Love it! Also, shout-out to the rough Scottish roads... you can almost feel them through the screen! 🚗💨

I'm a knitter who loves to work on my projects on road trips. Long hours as a passenger are ideal knitting time for me. Either way - love all your videos.

I had a storage problem with my plastic bin liners. Solution, I just place them in the bottom of the bin and they are out of the way and readily available when I want them. I love brown sugar or golden syrup in my porridge.

Some love it and others are not so keen. I It’s savoury, lovely texture in the mouth, well seasoned with salt,pepper, rosemary and thyme. Its made from the sheep’s pluck. That is the heart, liver and lungs. They add toasted oats and beef suet. It tastes delicious.
The scenery this time was spectacular. Most of us could never either afford to live or have the luxury of living in these gorgeous areas, so we do the next best thing; camp in them for a few days. Your blood pressure and stress levels must be excellent because you’re able to access such lovely places. Thanks for the video and the rest. Mary

Great time had by all, again. Interesting about the porridge... here we have sachets with different flavours. As children always had soft brown sugar or golden syrup (treacle) & milk, on our porridge. Made from rolled oats, soaked overnight and then heated in double boiler to serve, father always had his with salt (the scots way). Your pot with liner, seems to work better, well done. Next thing to solve is the washing up after porridge. It’s like cement. Soaking the pan is the obvious way but I am to miserly with the water. I reckon the trick is to steam it

Another great vid. Have you tried ‘Solbio’ for the loo? It’s organic & stops limescale forming in the tank. I fill a small stay bottle with diluted Solbio solution and use it to clean the loo. I spray it in the toilet bowl and leave it to work its magic when we leave the van. The first time I used it with general cleaning products and they ‘killed’ the organic compounds & stopped them working. I tried it again on recommendation and wouldn’t swap now.

I was in Scotland mid May this year and I was told that IKEA has many acres a managed woodland in Scotland. Despite quite a bit of driving around never saw any but maybe that’s what you were seeing.

Great tip on the bain-marie (get me!) power saving solution! A point of order on the Nova water capacity though, you mentioned 100L but the Consort spec for a Nova shows 70L, our Reef is 90L. Did you upgrade the tank or was the 100L thing a blooper ?

Hi Carol and Ken...the electric brae is an optical illusion...if you had stopped at the layby at the beginning and turned your engine off, released your handbrake, you start rolling and it looks as if you are rolling uphill.....but you are really going downhill... it's the way the land lies oppose to the road...👍🙂🏴
Carole and Ken I am concerned about your water issues and I have a wee tip for you if you are back in Ayrshire. Most cemeteries have a water tap that you can use if you don’t have any hang ups about filling up a few containers. Just love the way you both bring a wee smile to my face. Thanks.
Note: You can drink the water from cemetery water taps but I do use a filtered water jug if I am stuck. Water filters are the most effective way to remove lead from drinking water. Activated carbon filters can purify your water by removing most contaminants, including lead. I will add that that it would normally be used for washing dishes etc and purchase bottled water for drinking if unsure. Ps You can get water test kits.
The things I love about this channel is there's no acting up to the camera. It's a raw but beautifully presented channel ❤

👍Pot in a pot, a system I use in my pressure cooker, I sometimes also set a dish of veggies on top to steam. 2 in one. Extra efficiency.

White vinegar is amazing at killing smells but of course the vinegar is also a smell. We show you the gammon in the next episode. 😁👍

Hi Carol and Ken...the electric brae is an optical illusion...if you had stopped at the layby at the beginning and turned your engine off, released your handbrake, you start rolling and it looks as if you are rolling uphill.....but you are really going downhill... it's the way the land lies oppose to the road...👍🙂🏴

Carole and Ken I am concerned about your water issues and I have a wee tip for you if you are back in Ayrshire.
Most cemeteries have a water tap that you can use if you don’t have any hang ups about filling up a few containers.
Just love the way you both bring a wee smile to my face.

I read that people along the NC500 were up in arms about people using cemetery water taps - also that some of them have lead pipes
Note:
You can drink the water from cemetery water taps but I do use a filtered water jug if I am stuck.
Water filters are the most effective way to remove lead from drinking water. Activated carbon filters can purify your water by removing most contaminants, including lead.
I will add that that it would normally be used for washing dishes etc and purchase bottled water for drinking if unsure.
