Great time had by all, again. Interesting about the porridge... here we have sachets with different flavours. As children always had soft brown sugar or golden syrup (treacle) & milk, on our porridge. Made from rolled oats, soaked overnight and then heated in double boiler to serve, father always had his with salt (the scots way). Your pot with liner, seems to work better, well done. Did you get to see any red squirrels at all? There would have been some in their garden for sure 😉

Stuck it back with superglue but what really fixed it was a rubber band on the handles 👍

Hi Carol and Ken...the electric brae is an optical illusion...if you had stopped at the layby at the beginning and turned your engine off, released your handbrake, you start rolling and it looks as if you are rolling uphill.....but you are really going downhill... it's the way the land lies oppose to the road...👍🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Carole and Ken I am concerned about your water issues and I have a wee tip for you if you are back in Ayrshire.
Most cemeteries have a water tap that you can use if you don’t have any hang ups about filling up a few containers.
Just love the way you both bring a wee smile to my face.
    Thanks.

I read that people along the NC500 were up in arms about people using cemetery water taps - also that some of them have lead pipes

    • @samuelbennett4072

      Note:
You can drink the water from cemetery water taps but I do use a filtered water jug if I am stuck.
Water filters are the most effective way to remove lead from drinking water. Activated carbon filters can purify your water by removing most contaminants, including lead.
I will add that that it would normally be used for washing dishes etc and purchase bottled water for drinking if unsure.
      Ps
You can get water test kits.
