I bought this little cooker about 6 months ago based on this review, and I love it and use it often with my power stations. Glad you turned me onto this one, its great!
@@Wizardinthewild Yes it is! I'd been looking for something to use with a very small 300w power station, and this does amazingly well on the first setting. Like you said, it's almost TOO much power so it's amazingly efficient.
Washing up. After I’ve used my HYTRiC, I fill it with water and heat it up. Then transfer the water to a washing up bowl, that gives me the water to wash up everything other than the cookpot . With a cloth or paper towel, it’s a doddle to clean the pot with the remaining dampness and the lid. I’m very happy with this piece of kit.
Hi TrotterDel. So pleased you like the Hytric! It is easy to clean isn’t it? Great idea to use the pot to heat water for washing up too👍. Thanks for watching and commenting. Safe travels ❤️👍😊
Try soaking pasta for a bit before adding. I do that sometimes when making vegan Mac and Cheese. Thanks for the recipe and instructions on use. There's also a version with a handle. I'm not sure which would be better, both have lids & two heat settings, 300 and 600 watts. What's the approximate diameter? Would a slice of bread fit on the bottom?
Hi Robin. Thanks for watching. Handy tip about the pasta! I might have to try that. I find the pot with 2 small handles a bit easier for storage, but a single handle would probably make pouring easier. Yes, you could fit a slice of bread in the bottom. The pot is 20cm in diameter at the top and 15 cm at the base in the inside . Hope this helps. ❤️👍😊🚐
Hi. Thanks for watching. Pleased you Found it useful. We find the little pot great in the van as it uses so little electricity. How do you like to cook? 😊👍🚐❤️
Very nice. I've used mine with a 1000w solar generator when the power is out and really enjoy it. Heated water for coffee and then made pancakes while the coffee was in the french press. Tuna Casserole, hamburgers, chili, soup and the like. They really are a good all around cooker that uses low watts.
We love ours! So versatile. Boils water really quickly doesn’t it? Sounds like you use yours very wisely 😁. So easy to clean as well. We also run a small air fryer in our van when off grid. Works well. Safe travels 👍😊🧙
@@Wizardinthewild We bought a small air fryer as well. It was rated for 1000 watts but it comes in at about 966 watts so it works fine for us on the solar gen when we need it. My wife and I plan to upgrade to a 2000 watt next year. Cheers and happy travels.
