Hannah, I will tell you that I live here in the US. Most of us here hate the fact that most of the stores start putting the Halloween/Fall decorations--food, out in early August. Not much is left in the "fall" department by mid September. Now, all of the stores have almost all their Christmas stuff out and it just gets earlier every year. We don't like it. I am 74 years old and when I was a child, the fall/Halloween things came out early October and the Christmas things came out the day after our Thanksgiving celebration (which is the last Thursday in November). By the time late July, early August come, all the stores start putting out all the fall/winter clothing and everything. Who wants to shop for that when our temps are in the 90 degree range every day. THEN, mid September out comes all the Christmas things. By the time "the most wonderful time of year" comes along, everyone is sick of it. It's all about the merchandizing and I just hate that.
@patriotmama Costco is mainly business member built, which makes it the wholesale market for them to purchase their products earlier than the upcoming holiday season, which allows them to stockpile their inventory until its the season to sell. Each individual retailer chooses when to merchandise those goods. Not every country has Thanksgiving, so they don't understand that at all. Heres some trivia for you, Some countries like the Philippines start the Christmas season September through to January 6th, the longest celebrated season in the world. Each country has its own way of celebrating for religious or other factors. If the Philippines had to wait for the rest of the world to purchase, they'd miss most of their season. And Christmas is Christmas for heavens sake. We should all think about how many Christmases we have left. Celebrate!
I so agree (sorry, but I'm a "boomer") when I was growing up nothing was as commercialized or profit oriented as it is now)...Halloween items appeared about the 1st week of October, Xmas items the day after Thanksgiving! Everything had its own distinct sales period and you were able to appreciate each holiday and not be so oversaturated that they all blurred into one mega sales session. Now, if you want something for halloween you have to look in August, for Xmas you need to start looking in September, it's ridiculous and takes away from the fun and anticipation of the holidays. It's all about profit and greed.
Hannah this video was not rubbish. None of your videos are. In my opinion it was fun just hanging out with you on a trip to Costco. Your subscribers tune in because of you and the community you have built here. Your videos are genuine, informative, fun and always entertaining. Thank you for today’s video. Hope you had a great time here in America Hannah.
I was in the US Airforce stationed at RAF Lakenheath back around 1997-2002, had a Costco membership back in the US and was surprised that my membership card worked over there...first time I went in I thought I was back in the US...setup and items sold was about the same stuff you would see in the US at the time (Kirkland stuff) and of course the local British and EU stuff too in the store...Just note to all, yes anyone with a card from any store globally can access the stores globally...
Funny story, the chickens during dinner rush are very popular and theres usually a line of people waiting for them to be put out of the roaster. This poor young man was on his first day on the job and got all the chickens stuck on the rotisserie stick. Needless to say he was so embarassed. Everyone was fairly kind waiting for the chickens to be unstuck and put under the warming lamps. We've all been there on a first job and told him it was going to be ok. 😂
You can get a Costco membership as a UK citizen in the US. Your membership card is valid at any Costco warehouse worldwide and is not transferable. Just have to be 16.
I was on my way out the door to run some errands when I picked up my phone and it flashed a notification about your new video. I made a u-turn and went to my tv to watch it. As someone who worked for Costco for 18 years, I was all in. Regarding the lack of Halloween items, it’s quite possible they stocked them back in July (as you saw for Christmas, holidays come very early at Costco). And once the stock is gone, it’s gone. Beyond that, again, I thoroughly enjoyed your video with your sense of humor always taking center stage (“…the months of ber,” “where do all the socks go?”). Always such a treat to watch you scoot around. Thanks!
As a kid growing up in the 70's in Ontario, my Grandma loved her "housecoats". Santa always brought her a new one every Xmas. (Eaton's or Simpsons Christmas cataloge)
That's exactly what I think!😀 I always wait for your videos Hannah. You make me feel more at home with each and every one of them - I live in Poland but I was born in London and I miss it every day 😊
Costco croissant are incredible and much cheaper than pretty much anywhere else. Oddly for a US based company they don't sell US sized clothing or shoes for people my size 🙂 p.s. Costco is a wholesaler and has to comply with the wholesale laws in the UK which restrict the amount of goods that can be sold to the "general public" but also influences how planning laws apply to their store locations. Frustrating for some, but beneficial to others.
As an American I can say, we go over the top in most things especially holidays..I love Fall that means Halloween and then Thanksgiving..getting house ready ….loved your video Hannah.
It was explained to me that a bath robe is what you put on after a shower/bath, and it can 'dry' you, whereas a dressing gown is what you put on getting out of bed, over your nightwear.
The only reason I watch the entire video is because of the wonderful rhythm of your speech ,Americans speed without any pause through their videos, and are hard to swallow ,thank you ,it is music to my ears !
Our Costcos in the New York metro area have totally skipped Halloween and are on to Christmas, even though Halloween decorations are as popular as Christmas anymore. Very interesting seeing the differences between our Costcos. I’m shocked that not everyone can be a member, though. Love your videos!!❤
We in the US take halloween/autumn VERY seriously; "Spirit Halloween" shops overtake every piece of empty commercial real estate after July, the kick off of college football and sweater weather parties, and of course pumpkin spiced everything.
You take it seriously my ass. You are used to over consumerism. Buy all kind of crapp without thinking, just because you saw it at someone else or on TikTok or whatever. A bunch of crap
In New England Region of America they go crazy for fall!I live in Connecticut; Pumpkin Spice everything, apple cider, apple fritters, apple cider donuts, pumpkins, the fall leaves change beautiful colors, cider mills, candy apples!Americans tend to do holidays over the top,in an election year a tired nation needs some holiday cheer!Happy Holidays everyone!Booo!
@@vkdrk You don't know how crestfallen I feel to see HOVIS bread on the shelves in the UK, the most delicious bread on the planet and one of the UK's greatest contributions to the world, lol! We used to be able to find it in all our major grocery chain stores and it makes no sense that it's no longer available in Canadian stores for many years. It'd be like the UK not being able to purchase maple syrup! It makes no sense...it's not as if the ingredients to make the bread aren't available in this country! 🍞🍁😢If you haven't tried HOVIS bread, people, you haven't lived, lol!
These membership requirements are exactly why the UK does not have the GDP of the USA. What absolute snobbery! The truck driver who delivers the goods to UK Costco can't shop there. Absurd. Lots of people with undergrad/grad comp sci degrees out earn most of the "chartered" professions on that silly list. This is blatant class snobbery!
When Costco first opened in Canada they had requirements for membership as well but I think they've dropped them now. Can't understand why they'd put restrictions on membership when the bulk of their profits are from the membership fees they charge.
@aboone5977 nothing to do with snobbery. The UK, has wholesale laws for businesses! General public are not allowed to buy wholesale because they don't own a business! Business owners (all around the world) are able to provide their employees memberships, as long as that Countries laws allow it. Nothing to do with Costco. Many countries allow the general public to buy wholesale. The tax is applied POS whereas "Businesses " claim the tax annually.
@carolyncalhoun7555 Costco does not put the restrictions. Country's who grant Costco a Business license restrict who they can sell to. Wholesale tax law restrictions are Not Costco laws. Costco just has to abide by them if they want to do business in that country.
Hannah, these stream of consciousness moments in your videos are so dang funny. You standing in front of the mirror asking if your jacket looks cheap!🤣 And no it most definitely does not look cheap!
If their schedule is like US retail Halloween goods have been and gone and they’re on to Christmas. Ads were running for fall decor back in July! 🤦♀️. And fun video as always - I love the mix of subjects!
This is another awesome video with you shopping and listening to your reactions about Costco, you always brighten up my Friday's and I hope you have a very Beautiful weekend Thank You Lady Hannah.🕊🇬🇧
I can’t believe how quiet and calm this Costco is!! 😳😳😳 Over in Montreal, Canada, Costcos (yes, we have quite a few) are crazy busy!! All of them!!! I have to go early morning to do my groceries in order to avoid the chaos!
@@mellier7762 Yes, you are absolutely right! That makes sense! What a weird concept to restrict access to a membership!!! But then I read that in order for Costco to do business in the UK, they have to abide by the rules required of a wholesale club, including limiting memberships to certain trades and professions. Very strange!
Socktopia Hannah, correlate with you on that matter. A little homesick watching as I left Wembley when I was 8 back in ‘78 to the Netherlands. Miss England, love hearing you talk in a pure English accent. You Rock!
Yes, a member in the US. Your lovely jacket and nails gave more Autumn vibes, lol. Do you ever wonder how good those Christmas candies are at Christmas time having sat out for months? I think not! Always fun to spend time with you Hannah, always enjoyable. Have a lovely week!
When I joined Costco in 1983 in the Seattle area of WA in the US, there was no membership fee, but you had to belong to a union, work for a public utility (I worked for the phone co.), belong to a credit union & I forget what else. When you paid for your purchases at the cashier, there was a 5% added amount you paid for the privilege of shopping there. I don't recall when they started charging a membership fee, but it's been awhile ago.
Hannah, I’m a day late in commenting, but you are one of those people who other people (us) are always happy to see. I don’t care if you are explaining how you ran over a nail and got a flat tire, I’m gonna watch. 🎉
Hello Hannah, I'm from up north, we say, dressing gown or house coat, a robe or bath robe is made of terry toweling so you wear it straight out the bath or shower to keep warm and dry yourself off.
Canadian Costco member here. I only go to get household goods. Fall items are everywhere at other stores. I call it a house coat or robe. Hope it is your choice to move and that you get settled soon. Hugs from Toronto... Love your vlogs.
bathrobe, also known as a housecoat or a dressing gown, is a loose-fitting outer garment (a robe) worn by people, often after washing the body or around a pool.
My son is in the film industry, he has a Costco card. My grandson is an apprentice mechanic, he has a Costco card. It's really easy to get round. Plus, if you know someone who is a member you can go on their membership.
I started buying from Costco 30 years ago when I was a street vendor. At that time Costco was for resellers and restaurant buyers. It's cheaper than regular stores, but nowhere near the wholesale prices they used to be. I Used to buy a case of 24 Coca Colas for $2.99. As a wholesaler it made sense to sell only to businesses, but I don't see how an attorney or accountant needs to buy cheap roast chicken.
Christmas shopping comes early in the UK for the same reason as the US, money! Halloween merchandise (all over the UK, not just Costco) totaled over £777 million last year. For Christmas merchandise last year the total was over £2.7 billion.
You’re not alone! the pricing method is definitely misleading. The price to be paid at the counter should be in the larger font! you have to pay the higher amount regardless. It’s not like you can go to the counter and have the option to pay the lesser amount. This is 1000000% misleading IMO
I live in the US, Costco is my favorite store! I watched a documentary about Costco and how they choose all the products they sell. It’s a pretty intense process with the testing they put these product through which is why Costco is so popular in the US and their products are high quality. Even the toilet paper is put through rigorous testing. Also, the Kirkland brand is Costcos brand and they get to put their label on popular brands for example; Kirkland cola can have cokes label on it that’s why it taste the same and it’s also always cheaper. It’s a win-win -for the coke company.
We are knee-deep in autumn in our house, all the autumnal Dec's are out, pumpkin cushions on the sofa, pumpkin candles lit, we are definitely celebrating this season
Hannah - truly enjoy all your videos. You put a smile on my face just listening to you chatter on. You seem like such a sweet person, and enjoy seeing you and your Sister and nieces as well!
That is shocking that they have regulations about who can get a Costco card. I live in Windsor Canada; and being across from Detroit, our main source of income is from the automotive industry. Yet, Costco is keeping in business because of these factory workers for close to 30 years! I am not a member, because it is just the two of us and where would we put those giant cans of food, but my goodness, the class system is alive and well in Britain!
An excellent mechanic I worked for (they specialized in Landrovers) said Costco is the best place for tyres - they are careful to align them, will only sell you the correct ones for your particular car, and have a great warrantee. They will also repair tyres (we had a puncture and they repaired it for free because of the warrantee).
I am also from Windsor, ON and when Costco first arrived early 90’s only certain professions were eligible for membership- not sure when they did away with it. We have HST like your VAT wish they’d show our price with tax- hate the surprise at the till!😉
@@graciellastokes7979 In the US it also does not show tax because our tax varies by state, county, and sometimes city whereas I think it the UK it is one rate everywhere.
Never been inside a Costco. That's a bit out of order having the price you pay, smaller and a bigger price. I bet that's caught heaps of people out. Have a great weekend Hannah x
Many businesses are VAT registered and Costco is predominantly geared towards businesses, hence why the prices are displayed that way. Either way, the price that you have to pay is stated clearly, and you will know which one apples to you.
When Costco (actually Price Club which preceded Costco) began, you had to be a small company or a government employee. I was a college professor at a public college, so I qualified. This was about 40 years ago. Now anyone can join. So in the UK they may be doing the same thing, and will expand their memberships with time and more experience.
"??? I LOVED every bit of this glorious chaos!! You have no idea how much we practise our English thanks to your unique pronunciation! We even pick a 'word of the week here, from every video-last week was : 'pedestrianized' (still recovering from that one... 😱). This week's challenge? 'Autumnal'... I think my brain just did a cartwheel. 🤓 Sending all the love to you, Hannah! 💖"
21 yr employee. Initially Costco was always just for the business community. The bulk was for retail stores to come and stock their stores. They were able to buy their stock months before the actual season so reg shoppers could buy at the actual season time. Britain may eventually allow the general public to become members just like here in Canada, and elsewhere. Even when the public were permitted, only the business card holders shopped for the first 45 minutes. Now it's a free for all chaos 😂 Right now, we have Halloween and Christmas in the stores. Pumpkin pie will be available around Thanksgiving time, October 2nd week. Costco will only carry proven sellers throughout the chain. It depends on your demographic, Halloween may not have proven its value in Britain yet. Your food items are definitely regional. You carry lots of foods we don't have in North America and vice-versa. Also, Canada cannot sell alcohol within the warehouse, Its a separate entity due to licensing laws. Happy shopping..
Yes, I commented above that us "old school" Costco members remember a time when you could only get a membership if your place of work had a membership program. Like you said, it is open to everyone (chaos) and maybe the brits will go that way eventually too.
@falusitablet8747 our Costcos here in GA can only sell wine and beer in the main store. The liquor is sold in a completely separate area and not at every Costco.
@sharonsmith583 it's interesting each Country and region have different laws, this is why the general public get confused, they assume Costco makes the rules, then make very strong opinions about the company in a negative manner. Costco welcomes all. We hope some laws will eventually change enough to allow everyone to come shop. Happy shopping!
I always enjoy your channel, Hannah 😊 No matter where you are, it will be fun and interesting. Your honesty is always welcome about the places you take us to see❤
Hannah, you're a crack up. Love watching you. Feel free to come here to Los Angeles and review our Costco. No you don't have to be Lawyer to shop at Costco. I've had the pleasure of visiting London several times especially during the holidays. London does the holidays better than we do.
In Australia you only need to be over 18 to join Costco. Two personal membership levels - $130 for Premium and $65 for Gold. It’s definitely dressing gown here too. A short summery one might be called a brunch coat but not common anymore.
I call a "dressing gown" a "house coat" or a "robe/bath robe" (PNW USA). I love Costco. I used to work for Costco Travel at HQ in Issaquah, Washington. Best company I ever worked for. I love seeing the different baked goods you get in the UK vs. our local stores. My favorite was the Costco near Aulani in Hawaii. They had the BEST STUFF!!!! Awesome place to get good food souvenirs to bring home - in a BIG suitcase. LOL!!
I enjoy your channel so much! Well done! It is interesting to see what items are in the UK since I am in the US. Some are the same, some is not, but that is true at every Costco store.. As for early displays of various holiday items....they are ordered 9-12 months ahead and shipped to retail around 4 months ahead. I have worked in retail - a ladies boutique actually. But it is the same for any retailer that handles seasonal items. It is a storage problem for retailers so everything is displayed early since wholesalers insist on early . I don't like it and everyone I know complains about the seasons being pushed so far ahead. As for the wacky giant Halloween items, that is a matter of taste. There are certainly many who are crazy for Halloween, decorating in over the top manner. But, there is an equal if not more number of people who don't go extreme. Halloween items here were rolled out in AUGUST!! I know. Ridiculous. Commercial "scary" venues for large number of people have grown in popularity over the last ten years. Anyway, I'm looking forward to viewing more interest vlogs from you. Loved the Cotswolds! And Harrods! And all the other vlogs you have done.
Fascinating to see Costco from a UK point of view. When I visited London for a month, I never made it to Costco. Tesco, Sainsburys & Poundland was more convenient. One thing I found interesting was that energy drinks like Red Bull are regulated (ID required) like liqueur is regulated in the US. There are differences between the two countries.
Ive been watching your videos for a while now and when i saw this pop up, i have to admit i did wonder how costco could be interesting but you managed it. Its the cheeky enthusiasm with the occasional 'ooh squirrel' moment haha. Dressing gown is dressing gown. Costco is often cheaper on most stuff but sometimes a supermarket deal can be better.
TBH, I signed up with Costco just for the petrol. I consume a tank full per week commuting and just getting from point A to B in general and the savings per fill-up is about £6-ish when you compare the difference in their fuel price versus everyone else. This saving in fuel pays off my 75 quid membership in just over three months. The savings does not end here. Now we get to products in the store itself and in general the majority of stuff works out a lot cheaper compared to all the supermarkets by whatever metrics you want to compare; volume, weight or units per monetary unit. Only catch is it is in bulk compared to supermarkets, but that's no big deal. Example I bought my 4.5 litre Ariel laundry detergent, touted as good for 130 wash loads, well over a year ago and its still not empty and I use more than the recommended amount of liquid needed per wash.
We did have a costco membership but we stopped using it. It was handy during covid with all of the items in bulk. Some shops in Australia go all out with Halloween like Kmart and Big W. I don't follow Halloween much personally. I've bought a few items of clothing from costco a nice winter jacket and tops. We liked getting the chicken fillets in bulk and the salads and the boxes of soft drink. And we call our dressing gowns as well (got summer and winter). Cant believe we are nearing the end of September. Where has the year gone again?. Hope you have a fantastic weekend and great week. Catch you next Saturday morning ❤❤❤
I was at Costco here in Texas last week. It had plenty of Halloween decor and candy on display, as well as Christmas! Autumn is my favorite time of the year because it means cooler weather will be coming to Texas!
Anyone reading i'd highly recommend the double sided wrapping paper, it seems a lot face value but it's a huge roll and cuts great, no cheap supermarket toff
Nice video Hannah. Im Scottish and I call it a dressing gown and I cant think of anyone that calls it different. My partner was a member of Costco in Glasgow and there was 3 of us in our family, we went frequently and I can say that our main purchases were toilet paper, small bottles of water and Coke Zero! In fact that huge packet of toilet paper saved us during the early stages of covid. I know youre talking about Halloween but I cant think that there was a large selection of related products, it was more Christmas orientated. Kirkland washing powder is amazing and lasts for ages.
agree with you, they aren't the same. You slip on a bathrobe after a shower to keep warm, you put on a dressing gown over your pyjamas or nightdress when you're ready for bed or when you get out of bed in the morning
Costco in the UK is how Costco used to be here in the states years ago concerning membership. It used to be heavily focused on selling to businesses only and not the local consumer. It looks like Costco UK must do at least 70% of their business to businesses. Also, Halloween went on sale here in late July/early August. You noticed that in early September Christmas was already out in abundance.
A "dressing gown" here in the States is called a "bath robe." The Donna Karan robes were a great value there. Our pricing is definitely straight forward. I don't understand the "inc. VAT" pricing I love your channel. I think you and your sis with nieces in tow are my favorite ( high tea at the holidays, priceless). Much admiration to you and yours, Chris Pollock.
Your videos are always fun to watch 🥰 would be nice to see you vlog from a London IKEA - yes, they are available in most countries but they sometimes have local products too, plus it would be so much fun to see your comments on IKEA products 🙏💕
Thanks Hanna I’ve been following for a while now and you bring comfort to me since last year I lost my girlfriend to cancer you’ve help me to get byGod bless you❤️🙏
Your videos are a refreshing escape from the daily 'this and that' we read and see. Dressing gowns in the US are referred to as 'bath robes or robe' (so interesting to see/hear what various things are called in all the different parts of the world). Here in the US fall/Halloween and now even Christmas is EVERYWHERE - to the point that it kind of ruins it (for me anyway). Every year it seems as thought the items get put on the shelf earlier and earlier. Hope you find what you are looking for.... Did I hear you say you are moving? How fun!!!
Autumn is classically my favourite time of year but it look like Costco is still getting themselves ready for the season. I would think that places like Target or Homesense would have the fall home trimmings that you're looking for. That new jacket of yours is quite nice and hope it's warm!
Hi Hannah, I work for Costco in the US. It is 9/29 today and we still have Halloween items, but we have had Halloween items out since August. We sold out of the Giant Ground Breaking Skele. We also have a lot of Christmas items out. We have pumpkins and pumpkin pies already. This London store you are showing seems quite similar to the US stores, except some of the food items.
The biscuits with an "oldie" box are a traditional Catalan brand. I know we live in a pretty global world, but it felt strange, from Barcelona sent them in an American shop in London.
I remember housecoats in the 60s and 70s. They were quilted and buttoned up whereas dressing gowns are usually tied up with a belt and are not quilted.
A housecoat is like a lab coat for doing the housework in or answer the door. You don't put on your dressing down to do the washing up, and you don't wear an overcoat inside.
Many years ago (up until the late 80s/early 90s) some warehouse clubs in the USA such as Price Club (which merged with Costco) and Sam’s Club also used to restrict who could be a member. Those days are long gone in the USA though and nowadays anyone can join.
I really don’t understand why Costco is so restrictive when it comes to membership cards in UK. In Canada , we have different categories of membership card but everybody can have a membership card no matter the profession…. Love your videos ❤
I started my comment before finishing the video and you also make the observation I am about the people that British Costco allows to get memberships and that it seems that they are in work that might make them more money than the average Joe. You'd think the average income earner could benefit best from Costco shopping, but who knows. I'm in Canada and anyone here can get a membership although I've yet to take the plunge. Thanks again for a great mooch around. I look forward all week to these videos. They are my escape from reality and I really need them. LOL. Enjoy the weekend Hannah and of course my fellow watchers. P.S. Decades ago I too watched a report on how hot dogs are made and I've still not been able to eat them. LOL Pity as they can smell so good!
You might consider kosher hot dogs, which have much higher manufacturing and ingredient standards than most other hot dogs. I gladly eat Costco food court hot dogs but for home cooking I buy Nathan's or Hebrew National
Nope. British wholesale laws are elitist and antiquated since the 19th C. There are many professionals that earn more than the Costco membership but not included
This is my very first time watching your channel. I believe my algorithm sent your video to me since I subscribe to Costco vloggers. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed your video! I like the walk through because you gave me a glimpse into a store I may never go into but you made it fun. Thanks!
US resident here--and huge Costco fan--it used to be that only businesses could buy from Costco, so my friends and I borrowed our company's business license and got memberships! Currently, my local Costco in California has lots of Halloween products on display (pumpkin spice EVERYTHING), but Christmas decorations have started making an appearance. For the food court: I hope you get the Chocolate Chip Cookies soon--they are beyond amazing. Thick and HUGE. I highly recommend them! Thanks for the interesting video--I'm always curious to see such an iconic American brand in other countries... I didn't expect the branding to be exactly the same. Then again, that's what keeps Costco prices low.
Love your videos Hannah, just nice and normal and chatty! I live in Texas and our Costco is amazing it’s like date day for my husband and I when we go! Originally from Scotland and we call it a dressing gown but folk out here in Texas call it a robe which sounds so fancy! 😂
I think summer to Christmas as far as seasonal offerings is a bit more segmented in the US because of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving tends to usher in the autumn with Halloween, and keeps it a bit longer before we’re bombarded with Christmas.
They can discriminate in the UK for membership. In the EU Costco cannot do that. There are 2 Costco's around Paris. You can just go in, buy a membership and no other requirements.

I agree completely. It just takes all the specialness out of everything.

Thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
😂😂😂😂
As a kid growing up in the 70's in Ontario, my Grandma loved her "housecoats". Santa always brought her a new one every Xmas. (Eaton's or Simpsons Christmas cataloge)

One good thing about Friday is a new video from Hannah. I really enjoy your Costco videos💕
That's exactly what I think!😀 I always wait for your videos Hannah. You make me feel more at home with each and every one of them - I live in Poland but I was born in London and I miss it every day 😊
Glad you like them!

Costco croissant are incredible and much cheaper than pretty much anywhere else. Oddly for a US based company they don't sell US sized clothing or shoes for people my size 🙂
Never thought of it like that but that’s right when you think about it
Bath robe just sounds so fancy.
The only reason I watch the entire video is because of the wonderful rhythm of your speech ,Americans speed without any pause through their videos, and are hard to swallow ,thank you ,it is music to my ears !
You are a rare gem Hannah!!! You are always honest and down to earth. Loads of love to you 👠👠👠👠👠👠👠
Our Costcos in the New York metro area have totally skipped Halloween and are on to Christmas, even though Halloween decorations are as popular as Christmas anymore. Very interesting seeing the differences between our Costcos. I’m shocked that not everyone can be a member, though. Love your videos!!❤

What amused me most is public servants are eligible but not the general public, i.e. the employers. The Palace of Obedience reaps the privileges.
The Uk does not have the GDP of the USA because they don’t breed like rabbits like the USA. More people = Higher GDP

I can’t believe how quiet and calm this Costco is!! 😳😳😳 Over in Montreal, Canada, Costcos (yes, we have quite a few) are crazy busy!! All of them!!! I have to go early morning to do my groceries in order to avoid the chaos!
Probably because over here not everyone can get a membership! I can't, my husband can't either.
This was at opening!

Thank you Hannah for vlogging your experiences with us - Prime Viewing Entertainment!
Hannah, hanging with you is never a fail , always 😊 Thankyou
September first is the official launch form me! Love it!
It's not Britain, it's just Costco is an Yank company.
@@ExoticDoll-ct3udin Canada and the US anyone can purchase a membership. This is a British thing.
Thank you, Hannah Ricketts. You're a breath of fresh air. I really enjoy seeing the sights of London. Thank you for taking viewers along w/you. ⭐🌺⭐
There's a Costco quite near me (in the U.S.), but I've never been in one either. Haven't decided if the membership cost would be worth it for me.
I think my brain just did a cartwheel. 🤓 Sending all the love to you, Hannah! 💖"
Halloween has become one of my favorite holidays. And I'm old. Seeing Halloween food, merchandise and colors in the stores makes me giddy.
Even at cash and carry you have to be a business to be able to shop there
@falusitablet8747 our Costcos here in GA can only sell wine and beer in the main store.
Hi Hannah, great video as always! I'm in America and they put the Halloween stuff out in July, then it's all gone by early October, very annoying.

None of your vlogs are a ‘fail’. Love ‘em! 😊
Hi Hannah Costco is one of my favorite shopping experiences. Anyway 32 days and I'll be flying into Heathrow!!! Yay....

The months of "ber" ❤ my favorite! Fun to see UK Costco since I have shopped often at ones in Colorado, US 😂😊
Nice video Hannah.

How fun!!!

The biscuits with an "oldie" box are a traditional Catalan brand. I know we live in a pretty global world, but it felt strange, from Barcelona sent them in an American shop in London.
I'm in the North east of England, a dressing gown is just a dressing gown. House coat sounds very posh, and something like bath robe very american.
I’m watching on November 10th, from the USA, and have already started getting in the Christmas Spirit.
We call it a “house coat” Hannah.....love your channel ....xxx
Many years ago (up until the late 80s/early 90s) some warehouse clubs in the USA such as Price Club (which merged with Costco) and Sam’s Club also used to restrict who could be a member. Those days are long gone in the USA though and nowadays anyone can join.

Hi Hannah and everyone here 🎉
US resident here--and huge Costco fan--it used to be that only businesses could buy from Costco, so my friends and I borrowed our company's business license and got memberships!

And...a Costco membership is good in all Costco stores. So take a one day trip to Paris, get membership and you're good to go in Britin.
