It's just insane to me how much they have loaded into one map. I never would've expected that it had the entire Jak 2 map loaded like this. There's even the lava tube to Gol and Maya's citadel. Absolutely insane.
1:30 I can tell you loaded the Low Polygon overworld from the Citadel Rooftop with the High Polygon real time locations. Now they're 2 *Snowy Mountains?* 😵🤭 lol This is the only time I saw actual overhead travel from *Sandover* to *Gol and Maia Citadel!* It's phenomenal work! 🤘🤘 The only thing now is that you have to match the 2D Polygons over the 3D Polygons, by overlapping each Overworld section. Like the *Lava Tube* "High Polygon" area is loaded at the edge of the continent in the ocean when it should be loaded in the middle of the continent, far from the ocean. The only way you can get a proper scale of the overworld is to look at the high polygon landscapes in the background. Sentinel Beach, Fire Canyon, Rock Village, Mountain Pass and Volcanic Crater is a good example of mapping the overworld together. Using the Gol and Maia Citadel's perspective would still not be accurate because it shortens the distance from Sandover to it, and makes Jak looks like a *GIANT* in the land. What you have to do is get *each rendering section individually,* and map them accordingly to make it exactly like what we see in game. Though, that would make Snowy Mountain bigger than Citadel since the High Polygon version of the Mountain is bigger than the Citadel. 🤔
These are all the high LOD models extracted from the game in the exact same location as they are in the game. The high LOD versions of levels include pieces of lower lod versions of the levels to not break immersion and you just need to manually select the low LOD faces in blender and remove them then everything is there in high LOD at all times. But blender is annoying.
This makes me imagine how a Jak 3 mod would be a kind of total conversion of Lost Frontier, as well as a Jak II mod where it would be a kind of total conversion of the Daxter game for PSP.
Did you know that you can do something really similar to this if you’re playing the PS2 version of Jak II. All you have to do is play the opening cutscene (either through the scene player or starting a new game) and in the beginning of the cutscene when everyone is still in sandover village, just hit the eject disk button. This pauses the cutscene and tells you to put the disk back in. When you do put the disk back in, you’ll be able to control older Jak and walk around sandover a bit. I’m pretty sure the video I watched about this years ago was this one here: ruclips.net/video/TpPlw3elZhs/видео.htmlsi=LLuJ6-jA4zHW9iWp
you found footage of mar exploring the land for the best location to build haven city....
And then he decided to build this city in a middle of a FUCKING ocean
Ah, yes, Crash Bandicoot (1996), just the way I remember it. (Tagged by youtube)
Seeing Jak 2 Jak in Spider Caves and Snowy Mountain is cursed AF but I love it.
Holy sh*t, next step, put Haven city AND Jak 1 world together.
The entire trilogy in one game??
@@Dante_Sparda_DMC Why not ?
@@greshgege8538 that would be my dream game actually
@@Dante_Sparda_DMC Me too buddy =D
Dude the music omfg.
Now do one hovering from sandover to citadel
Imagine if we could make our own custom story missions in this game modded? Like GTA sa does with dyom(Design your own mission)
We can
The fact that in Jak and Daxter there is a unique map is great. 🤩 Naughty Dog did well.

Damn. CD real estate must've been cheap in 2003
I KNEW there was a way to get the whole game loaded at once! How'd you do it?

Please try playing as lurkers in jak 1
more like jak2 in jak1
No this is jak 1 in jak 2
is there a way to fix the alpha transparency?
It would be cool if Jak did return to the past in a future game or some parts of it.
Now for Jak 3 in Jak 2 in Jak 1. 😆 Great work!!
when will this mod be released ?
Cool
Are you going to put all the scoutflies, powercells, orbs, mini games, cutscenes? It seems complicated to me, right?
Flies orbs and powercells yes, the other stuff probably isnt planned at the moment
I've been wanting Jak II as a collectathon with level structure similar to Jak 1's
Hope we get something like jak 2 but with jak 3 weapons (maybe light jak too) at some point
🔥
I did the same. How you got further 😮
Can you play as jak from jak 1 in jak 2?

@@Mr.McDivit yes
Also not sure if I’d call it similar to this lol
Plot twist, Jak 2 version of Jak in Jak 1, you can't fool me 🤣
You can fool me tho. What does this mean?
