This was my experience with installing the TUSK Enduro Lighting Kit that I purchased from RockyMountainATVMC.com

Wild bill, killer video, you eased some of my anxiety about powering my new aftermarket headlight. The people over at rockymountainatv say the tusk harness will not power a headlight, but I was thinking about doing the same tech you did, by wiring those extra wires from the harness to a H4 socket, and praying it works when I plug it in. You just wired each of those wires to a slot in the socket correct?
I see you have the blue and white wire from the harness wired to the socket that plugs into your bulb, but the black wire from the tusk harness is tied into a wire from another harness altogether.. What harness is this?
Ok so I just installed this kit on my 01 xr650r and besides my bike not having a battery and running a battery they included the kit is basically the same.
I'm having this issue as we speak.
I'm running a different headlight which still has the 3 connectors with the same functions so once I figure out the wiring it all should work.
I have everything working except for the headlights.
My confusion comes here... besides the 3 wires (wht,blk,blue) that are included in the tusk kit for the headlights where are the other 2 wires coming from? The tusk harness or the bikes wiring harness!

It's been a while since I installed the kit, but I think the other wires you are referring to came from the bikes stock wiring. The only wires I had to connect to the bulb were the blue white black and the ground.
I can’t figure it out. My bike is only a year newer and the wires that come out of the stock wire harness are 2 black and 1 green for the headlight. I tried hooking it up the way you have it and now the control switch for the lights beam is turning the display screen on and off instead. So now the switch is only controlling the screen instead of the light. I tried switching some wires around but can’t figure it out. Do you know what’s going on?
Can you power the Tusk Enduro lighting kit with the engine ignition like the headlight?
great video Wild Bill,,, that's the same kit on my WR450F,,, The base kit has been on the bike for 3 years already without any issues. You going to pursue a tag for the bike?

What brackets are you using for your hand guards
I had a set of Tusk D-Flex hand guards already installed, so it's the bracket from those. All I had to do was change out the actual guard.

No, it's the stock headlight
Maybe I missed it but how did it plug In To get power
I'm not sure if I included that, but it has pre terminated positive wire and a negative wire that slide under the bolts on the battery terminals.
Did you end up using the stock stator?
Sure did

Not yet, but I'm hoping to get it soon!
