Its easier to take these out than regular braids and faster. You literally just pull your braid out of the loc and un do that braid and all the hair comes right out.
Soooooo I thought my hair was going to loc up when I did this style but it didn't!! After my moisture routine, I sealed the ends of my hair (the part that's not braided) with a shea butter mixture. No tangles, no locs, and my hair was still moisturized when I took them down 2 months later (washed my scalp three times while it was in)... Style is too dope! 🔥
@@tammyjones7303 if you wrap the hair like 2-3 inches past where your hair ends, you can cut the locs close to where the wrapped ends are with no damage to your hair. Orrrr you can go to the root and unravel until you see the braid and then snip the wrapping hair. It's pretty easy from that point. Just requires some patience 🙏🏾
I have curly waist length hair them curls will be dreads after I don’t comb my hair for a week 😂 I could never leave that in for more then a few days I don’t think she realize the texture hair she has will lock foreal and fast I know not to do this 😂 she might fuck around and have dreads in her hair for real
Can you do a safe take down tutorial/video? I keep seeing videos warning about the style due to breakage but I want to try so bad 😅 your videos taught me to style my hair right after years
Cute style but my hair was jacked up after take down! I had to cut 3 inches off! Im a licensed cosmetologist over 20 years. My hair has never been messed up like that not worth it for me!
She’s GIVING technique ✅ She’s GIVING education ✅ She’s GIVING me something to DO. ✅ This look is absolutely stunning, I hope it’s light weight 😥 I need to do this for the upcoming heat this summer 😭
Honestly just do the regular crochet method that’s on every other RUclips. Truly no hate but this is literally the most unnecessarily complex technique I’ve ever seen for faux locs. As someone who is currently wearing faux locs and has been doing the style herself for years. I actually was trying to look very closely to see if the end result was just something different but it is not. Idg why you’d opt for this method.
@@krazykaye8843 My daughter did mine and I wanted butterfly locs with minimal bulging down the loc. My hair is thick, burgundy, curly and fine. She parted it as if she had a knife carving the parts. It was beautifully done and I loved it. When I was going to take them out, I didn’t see where the process should even begin. I spent 30 minutes staring at each one, wondering if I was seeing what I saw. The next day I finally got them out. I’m not going to tell you what I did, because I wouldn’t recommend that process at ALL!!!! If someone can explain what to expect, much less what to do 😂, getting the style again would be amazing
@@1theqtpie yes, my niece explained the take down process to me but like you, I really can't tell where the wrapping hair ends. I'm going to have to get her to take them out again. 🤦😂😂
Ughghhhh I love your hair color. I wanted to use you as a reference for my stylist but my roots are so dark (nearly black) that id have to got in every few weeks and im not about that 😂
What tips would you have for hair that is shorter in the back.? I have somewhat of a bob and I normally do the rubber band method on those hairs when doing my box braids. Should I crochet the lock through the rubber banded hair and then wrap the little bit of hair under the marly hair?
Worst way to install if you plan on ever taking this down 😭 PLEASE don’t do this method. She’s gorgeous and she did an amazing job, but do not follow these instructions. You’ve been warned.
Are you adding bags of hair? +a ?…Do you have to have textured hair for this to work? I mean, could you do this if you’re hair is soft & straight? +You’re so pretty..🌷
Why does everyone call that a crochet hook. It is NOT. It is a latch hook used for latch hooking rugs, wall hangings and pillows. A crochet hook makes scarfs, afghans and such. Check it out really. No shade just info.
How to black women w scleraderma and raynauds do their hair? My hands are so disabled I can't even grip anything and its so agonizing and upsetting, I can't imagine trying to work w black hair and these complex styles as a disabled person 😢
Idk if y’all know but you don’t have to actually crochet these in if you have at least 5in of hair. I just put my plait in the loop. Slide the loop to my roots and start wrapping the hair. Easy put in and easy take out. If your hair is short I do recommend crocheting them in though.
This is handy for those locs you buy that aren’t hollow in the center. I’m not sure why people’s hair is locing; if you braid/twist your natural hair all the way down and/or straighten it beforehand, nothing should loc, right? Taking down wraps can be a hassle but not if the hair you use is short and only just long enough to cover where your natural hair meets the already formed loc. if you can find that point, you can just pull out your natural hair from the loop and the formed loc will fall right off. Then you unravel the wrapping hair. I would think of using another color too for the wrapping hair for an ombré look which makes it easier to spot where you need to start unraveling hair.
I love watching people do these hairstyles because I can never ever get it. It took about 10yrs for me to realize how they are twisting the hair for Senegalese twists lol Beautiful hair style and great color matching!
It's pretty and so are you. It's also far too much work for my taste. I went the other direction and shaved my head to 3/4" because I got tired of hand cramps and frustration. 😂
I have a question. When I do this I braid my hair and then I wrap it with the wrapping hair, I don't use that initial lock that you used that had the loop on it. My question is what is the reason for that extra step? Will my hair stay in better if I do that? Thank you!!
Nah cuz I know I'ma be hella pissed off tryna take these out, I'm just shaving my head 😂
Its easier to take these out than regular braids and faster.

It’s so easy it’s not even funny do some research and then get these innnnn
😂
She actually posted how easy it is to take it out as well 🤣 ruclips.net/user/shortsHcGRHKmbVnM?feature=share
Idk who said this was easy to take out or how other people do it. But girl. It was a long and hard process to take down for me 😭
Did this once and my hair locked up fr 🤣🤣🤣
Btw! You did great! You look so pretty ❤️
😮 See that's why i can't try this i don't want my hair to loc and how do you take this out 🤷🏽♀
That’s what I want to know, lol. How do you take these out😂

Me too. But, I am just convinced that I am officially giving up trying to get this style.
Yea the take down can be a little hard cause the loc hair, crochet, braid or whatever other hair you use can get stuck.

I'm even scared of the pain 😂😂😭.
The hair is so fine but the repercussions are sth else.

it is extremely lightweight.
I hate loce in the summer, it's a winter hairstyle imo.

One thing she ain’t giving is the amount of f---‘n bags of hair to buy. 😐
It was the take down that was a nightmare!!! Never again!!!
My niece can snatch them out in 30 minutes! I don't know how she does it. 😂 I depend on her, she does them for me for $50! God bless her.

I’ll never understand how this is protective. It’s asking for damage.

😊Lovely Locks!! You have beautiful skin tone!!❤
It’s all fun and games until it’s time to take them down🤦🏾♀️.
It looks gorgeous on you. I’m tender-headed so I could never. Lol.
tgis suits you soo well. locs dont always suit everyone.
Not for me...your braids looked beautiful before the install though
That color is magicallll
She became a whole different person with that hair. Bad bitch ACTIVATE!
If you struggle taking out box braids don’t you dare try this 😩😩
Why not feed your braided hair into the soft lock and eliminate the use of the wrapping hair 🤷🏾♀️
I just saw this video❤ ❤ I am totally doing these locks
I could care less about what she doing❤❤❤❤❤😂
Y’all be making stuff UP . What are soft loc?

Omg this was the easiest install tutorial thank you. Now I feel confident enough to do my daughters without messing up.
Where did you get the soft locks from please ?these look beautiful ❤
Nahh to much work. I prefer the method of single crochet and just tucking ur hail into the lock
So, I think I’m going to try this, but since it’s so hard to get out…I think I’ll just never take them out and see what happens…lol
What color is your hair? What number I mean?

My head would be a tangled and matted mess. Pretty hairstyle. 😅
Ok now show me how to take it down because I’m tired of cutting my hair and spending hours taking it down
So you need your real hair to be long and you real hair isn’t gonna be tucked away or protected?
Who else thought the crochet hook was just a great lash mascara rube before they clicked on the video 😂❤
So, how do you get it out once you're finished with the look? Is that really difficult?
I love them so much it’s the only style I do now when I do a protective style 😂
Why cant you put the hair in a lose hair piece then just braid further down?
To take it out just cut where your hair stops and just start wrapping it around. If your hairs super long I don't know how you would go about it.
Am I the only one that thought that crochet hook handle was that one mascara brand that we've def had too long in our make up bag?
Wow you just saved me. Was doing another method that was taking too long 🎉
Too many steps honestly. Looks great on you though.
Is that coming out or not, cause yall gonna break up yuh hair bad
I thought the applicator was a great lengths mascara…
