I run these tires on my 17 Honda AT. Right out of the gate I did the same thing. Ran to my local OHV park and tested them. Hauled 85 mph the entire way and ripped up the hills all over the park like I was on my XR400. I also run carve mountain twisties like I am on my old supermoto bike. I have absolutely no complaints after about 6k of all types of riding. I do agree the soft stuff is it's nemesis but what do you expect from a street tire? For the average ADV rider it's a great tire. Great on the roads and great down the dirt road to camp. I'm sold on them for sure.
Watched this on the other channel but watched it again and gave it a big 👍🏻. Love to hear the big bike growl off road. If you don’t fail at something, you never find the true limit!
This is the review we need for tyres like this! I was contemplating putting 40/60s or 50/50s on my Himalayan but I think this sells the Trailmax Missions for me. I am unfortunately in a country where we don't really get to ride off road, so realistically this is probably spot on for me.
Great real life review! I considered this tire but ultimately went with the Mitas E07+ and pretty happy. Sure wish we had riding areas like that here in Ontario Canada!
I recently bought a V-Strom 650 for a tourer. It needed tires immediately, and I'm hoping to eventually try some bdr type stuff. So far, I've got about 5,000 street miles on these, and they barely look worn in at all.
Excellent, thorough review of these tires. I am running a set on a 2012 R1200GS and find them an excellent overall tire. I have had some “moments” in muddy sections but not much drama elsewhere.
Just a point of interest! I have been riding and racing for 40 years! I have been watching your videos for a bit! When getting off your bike put the side stand down first! That way you want pull the bike down on top of you! Especially when you have stuff one the back of the seat!
I've been looking for a tire to replace the TKC80 that came on my 890R. Turns out, I'm spending a lot more time on the road than I thought I would. Being in San Diego, there's gates on every fire road in the county it seems. And pretty much every place you could ride off road is closed now. Except for the 2 OHV areas out east. These tires might be a good choice. I like the TKC, but it's got a pretty short lifespan.
I'm glad you got these tires for free because this was a hell of an advert for them. They're incredibly impressive tires. They look so street oriented but you proved they do better in the dirt than they have any right to really. Great video
Great street tire works well on dirt light sand mud gravel. Not so great on deep sand gravel and Oklahoma mud. They are on my V85 now tractionator adv go on when I get serious about trail riding. Defiantly had to slow down on the trailmax.
So I just bought a set of motoz tractionator GPS, but I love watching and learning about others experiences with different tires. Always doing homework for the next set/mod.

Great video! Always wondered how good those type of tires are off road. 🔥💪
The Missions last a long time, but not great in deep sand/ deep mud.

Definitely looks like a good tire for those that don't do hardcore off-road riding on their adventure bikes.
