@@lindaottmar6124 thank you! I’m sorry you’re dealing with drought, we visited family down by Bismarck last week and it’s definitely very dry out there.
Garden looks good...if the killing frost delays until the end of Sept. you should do really well. We just harvested the garlic and started on the pickles here. Challenges for us this season are deer, gophers, and sprayer drift. I think the weed you're pulling was a red rooted pigweed.
@@greatnorthernn-3154 we are hoping to grow garlic too! I’m sorry to hear about the animals and drift, we have a big gopher issue here as well. Thank you for identifying the weed! I’ll have to figure out how to get rid of it more easily.
@@oldfarmerdan there is a line of “hills” through the eastern side of the state to Canada that has quite a bit of trees. Otherwise most of the state is plains.
Welcome to North Dakota! Your garden in looking great! We live in SW ND and are experiencing a drought right now. Watering almost every day.

I'm surprised by how much forest or treed areas are around you. When i think of ND, i think of more open grasslands.

@@BackseatFarming well it's beautiful, I imagine there are some interesting animals living in all that. :)
Love your flower garden. I think its not weed (11.58). Its a FOXTAIL AMARANTH. Reference: ruclips.net/video/Ta9gCKxx1H8/видео.html
Pretty sure those weeds are amaranth
I just harvested our first beans today!!
