Please make it so that keyboard shortcuts like Tab let you switch from one button or field in a dialog box to the next. This has been requested so many times and is just absolutely basic and essentially functionality.
I agree Evan. If you have a dialog with numerical input and click on the first one, say in a toolpath dialog. tab will go to the next one. but it doesn't work for selection boxes and it doesn't just work without you clicking one first.
@@endercrafts9056 It does in some dialogs. If you are in manufacture and start a new toolpath, if you are in the Spindle Speed input and tab you will go through all the dialogs. If you are in an extrude and on the distance box and tab it will bounce back and forth to the taper angle and distance. Is there a specific one you know of that won't tab back to the first?
For milling manufacturing, 2 features off the top of my head I'd like to see are: 1. 2D Contour: Automatic recognition of the best lead-in point to minimize the lead-in tool engagement mark. For O.D. contours this would be the corner edge. (Also applicable for the Flat "profile" unveiled here, which I probably won't use due to this limiting factor and its inferior surface finish) 2. 2D Contour/2D Chamfer: For chamfering, an automatic tip offset based on each contour path's minimum radii that maximizes the SFM of the tool, with an appropriately scaled feed rate. For instance, use the maximum tip offset for 2" holes on the model at full feedrate, and the tip for the 0.1" holes at 20% feedrate. A dialogue box to change the minimum radii path to follow would be nice as well
Conditional statements in parameters is huge. Parameters allow me to avoid creating hundreds of variant files to begin with, adding conditional statements might cut to required designs by 50%! Great feature! Contours in "flat" strategy will also be very useful!
Maybe stop forgetting parameters of basic operations if they have warnings? I shouldnt have to remember what radius a fillet is because I deleted something 20 operations before it. Also, If I delete a thing, dont just delete related things? I dont understand why the warning state cant be used for everything. In the same vein, a list of operations that depend on an operation would be nice.
Why there are more features than Inventor has? For example, they still did not implement a rotary machining in Autodesk HSM which is more expensive than Fusion
Hello I am so i learn 3D, curious paasio vehicle designer Other problems with siglalés and improved for my part: The slow fusion even with an RTX 3060 (making it possible to use your own graphics card) -Crashes -The work that is lost by merging - performance improvements -impossible to now render in the canvas (it is very very very slow since the last two updates) -the recording of files which is recorded ad infinitum when you want to close fusioon -the addition of movement kinemaatics from the view port (similar to software, belender, cinema 4D) -improved management of T spine errors because sometimes there are invisible errors and you can't see them (use the iac) - improvement of the correction of errors in the timeline, because fixing all the errors manually is very very long -adding a dark mode -improve file exportation and opening Thank you for this great software
Has anyone else been having insane problems with fusion over the past week or so?? I've got the free version, and I'm fairly new. I only have one design started, a simple bullet mold for my first project. Fusion was working ok, then started bogging down, locking up, and crashing. Thought it was my laptop finally not being able to keep up. So, I bought a new one that has double the requirements that autodesk lists(RAM, graphics, ect...). Other than what came on the laptop from the factory, Fusion was the only thing on this new comp. I did all of the updates for the computer and fusion. Then tried to draw a 1.5" line and fusion locks up and crashes. Same thing happens if I try to delete a line, or do anything else really. Fusion says they don't support the free version, and their website won't let me post to the forums. I reported that to Autodesk, who said they couldn't identify the problem 🤦♂️. So I got on with tech support for the new computer, we tried everything, ending in a factory reset. And fusion still doesn't work. I'm not trying to reengineer a flux capacitor. I'm trying to make a simple bullet mold and learn cad, cam, and milling. Anyone had similar problems or any advice? At this point I can confidently say that if I ever get to the point of buying cad/cam software, Fusion will absolutely not be it. Product doesn't function, no support available, no ability to post to forums to ask questions, and no customer service for that either...
And still waiting for iges output for tube lasers. So many have been asking for 3 years now. You can change the outputbin inventor now but still not fusion. Frustrating to have to continually go to solidworks to re save all iges files.
still wanting the ' maya style ' navigation controls option. please. after all this time. please why is this important ? moving between so many apps that all support the option. jump into fusion and the cognitive load of making the switch throws you out of rhythm
Great update... Love the option to delay the version upgrade... however it would have been good if you had provided the option to completely skip the upgrade. That way people using older computers would still be able to use the older versions without any lag or slowness of the software (knowing they wont get the latest and greatest updates of the software). This also would help them focus on their work and not worry about upgrading their computers because latest versions of fusion 360 is slowing down on their older computers. I also loved the option where now we can resize the options and dialogue boxes. Gfeat update overall.
Whats new is that they are removing features from the student version now you cant convert mesh in prismatic mode unless you pay 400$ a month.... thats whats new
I am the product manager in charge of that feature. I also teach Fusion 360 to my students at a local university as a professor. I can tell you with authority on the subject that we did NOT remove that feature from the Education License (Student version) of Fusion 360.

Now it'll crash 20 times faster than ever before and refuse to re-calculate even more parameters because Autodesk only hires the worst Python engineers money can rent.

Please lord!!
I think they dont include this becase it incentivizes folks to move up to inventor
and still no dark theme, amazing.
yep, and still no nesting/panelization in PCB's
Same with no slot and tab feature
MAC SILICON VERSION PLEASE - ??????????????????

Native Apple silicon support would be nice. Any update? It has been a long time...
RE-SIZING dialogs is great, but we also need to resize the width of the component browser tree and the data panel!
We also need a customisable NAVIGATION BAR!
I know this has been said before, but are we ever going to get a dark mode option that similar to Inventor?

Finally !!! some very important additions in parameters (logical operators and logic functions)
STILL NO LIVE BILL OF MATERIALS/COMPONENT LIST VIEW!!!
Geezus thank gos for the update snooze feature!!!
agin a great update. Keep them coming
All these awesome features and no Dark Mode 😒
Please make the "FLAT" operation able to compensate tool diameter.

Hmm... Get an simulation error when doing lathe work, it says my holder is colliding, no matter what i do with holder shape and insert geometry.
pleaes include mesh functions show up in the parametric timeline.
Does fusion360 have a broaching process?

Buggiest software ever please pay employees to bug test or like fix the bugs from 2013 that are still present for some reason
And laaaagy, especially in the electronic design (pcb 2d, 3d),
I agree its always been so laggy for me too I hope they fix that.
