Nice, just ordered a Rapid LT1convertible spec'd identical to yours but without the RS package and black accent package. The Recaro's definitely bring up the interior in these. I plan on tossing the stock wheels and going with some ZL1 graphite rollers, so I just got the standard 5 spokes. Should be pretty sweet for a daily.
My 1ss Lt1 was built on Thursday came to the dealership on Friday. Picked it up after work Saturday. Payments $650 /month.. financed $41k . Vehicle price on factory order stock was $51,992
Ayyyeee we in the same ball park! Congrats bro! I know you enjoyed that drive home when you got it! And you got it on a Saturday too! I know you was having a good time 💪🏾💯
I’ve owned a 2017 SS 1LE. Let me just tell you that it was my favorite car, I’ve ever owned. I want to get another one. The suspension and 6 piston Brembo brakes are top notch. Test drive fast with a curvy road and you’ll thank me. Power to weight ratio is also amazing
One thing it shows is that small changes to the outside of a car (wider Tires/Wheels, different wheels, widebody kit, color accents, tint etc.) can make a Car so much better looking… just like the 1LE is actually a good looking car vs. I wouldn’t look twice at an LT1…
I have a 2015 2SS 1LE. The performance package on it is way worth, especially with the alpha 2 performance chassis. Plus the one 1LE engine breaths way better then the ZL1. The 1LE is also technically a collectors edition, not official yet. Check it out in the 1LE registry. Not many made,
Up-level radio on the LT1 - no sound tube. 1SS base radio - sound tube. If he wouldn’t have gotten the Bose sound system, he would have had the sound tube. Just following up from my comment on a previous video Tony. Keep the good content coming 👍👍
Also, I will say that I dont care much for the RS, because of the grill...I like the simpler looking non-RS one, and the red tail lights looks better on a red car (to me, both of your cars are gorgeous, and that blue is nice. Test drove one today that was blue as well...but, Ive had dark metallic red Camaros since highschool and that trend is not ending lol)
Thanks! I feel like you can’t go wrong with the LT1 as it’s great for what you get. With or without the RS package. Those dark red metallic colors ended in 2022 so you better get that wild Cherry or red hot while you can 😂
@@BLUPRINT1LE Thats a shame. I looked more and just couldnt get the options I wanted in the LT1. The interior is way to similar to my current Camaro, so it left me feeling a bit...samish. And sure its fast but not Scatpack Widebody fast (at least feeling that way off the line, low end side, and just fun hooning vs actual racing if that makes sense). I wanted the HUD, leather, and nicer colors inside...Now, the 2SS but then Id have to swap noses to the non RS LT1 which is weird doing, right? lol. Anyway, I did find out that they will begin orders again for the last Hellcats, and I have to go that route, wait a year, sell it, make some money then order the heritage package ZL1 and just keep that...unless they get stupid priced...so I may keep my 5th gen (hopefully can afford not having to trade it...I really dont like having to speculate on cars, but if the panic over Hellcats is as bad as articles and forums are pointing to...then its foolish not to get one, keep it sub 100 miles then Barrett Jackson that thing!)
@@BLUPRINT1LE Dont laugh LOL...I just saw the 2024 Challenger...thing. Its God awful, and sounds like an electric leaf blower. So yeah, I can see why those forum guys were in a frenzy.
@@RipRoaringGarage 😂😂😂 I was laughing at the end when you said Barrett Jackson that thing lol. Yeah I feel sorry for the Mopar fans but hey, I’m open to see what they offer. Don’t hold your breath for the heritage version I think the GM is done. Get the Z now if you can
I wish I ordered the engine cross member mount on my 2022 2ss like you have. That keeps your engine from rocking and prevents you from breaking your motor mounts. Your friends rs doesn't have the cross member mount.
I’ve had my lt1 for 9 months. It’s a good car. My only complaints is the quality of the interior. That including the door panels, the dashboard, very poor quality. And if you don’t option to get leathered seats (which I didn’t) the drivers seat starts to wear and my car is only at 5000 miles. I also don’t like how fragile the body is on the outside. Feels like plastic. I’m going to trade it in very soon for a 2ss. I’d very much prefer the 2ss with the 1le package over the lt1. Not only because of the interior, but because the side mirrors also don’t signal you when there’s a car next to you. It’s very hard to check the blindspots and the fact that there is no signal for the side mirrors when there’s a car next to you is something I don’t like. Also I didn’t know the lt1 didn’t come with heated seats! So I’m looking forward to having heated seats in the 2ss. But if you just want a fast car and don’t really care for the interior or any of the luxurious options, the lt1 is the way to go. It’s loud and aggressive. But the 2ss fits my needs a bit more.
Nice cars guys! I would’ve gone with the 1le pack just because the cost of the pack is like 4 thousand less than buying all the 1le parts one at a time. High flow water pump, bigger radiator, higher flow oil cooler, trans cooler, bigger brake kit, limited slip diff, way more robust suspension bits to handle all that torque. Be careful clutch dumping that lt1.
Thanks bro! Look at you knowing your car setups! I believe it has HF water pump and radiator but everything else you are accurate. I don’t know how easy it is to change it but for a drag setup I guess most won’t care
I got a 2022 LT1 as well, planning to change the front bumper to an SS bumper, and the guage cluster for the SS one as well. Basically to make it look like an SS lol
@@BLUPRINT1LE It's a bit more expensive, plus the SS doesn't come with all season tires but just summer ones. And I live in Maryland so i def need to change tires every winter bc this is pretty much my daily. LT1 already comes standard with all seasons. So I dont have to buy extra tires anymore. "Converting" it to an SS is prob gonna cost me less than 2k which is a lot less than actually getting an SS + extra tires for the winter. All I really have to change is the front bumper and the guage cluster and boom I have an SS lol
Don’t bother with any of that just get you some 1 LE Wheels and tires and you have the ultimate sleeper. The LT one speced this way it’s over 100 pounds lighter than SS
Great video. Please make a back to back drive review with the LT1 and SS1LE to see if the extra cash is worth the performance benefits according to you
Nice. Im torn between the LT1 because the nose is more tame, more 5th gen (which I have now and love). I dont know why today the options changed, as in I could order a ZL1 with a completely red interior, with stripes and spoilers to make it more 5th gen-ish. Now, all interiors are the kind of meh grey black, no colors at all. Not sure if its the 23s coming out, or why, but literally from yesterday to today options are gone, so I had to rebuild something nice, that starts off from the LT1.
Yeah the options are very limited now as GM keep dropping them which I think it’s due to supplies and also we may be finishing off the car and the less stuff they can provide or add to the car the more it shows it’s not a car they want anymore
@@BLUPRINT1LE Yeah. Im curious how Vette sales are. If theyre slumping they might be trying to call us to get a Vette but I like keeping cars a long time, and that mid engine scares me for basic maintenance...So yeah. I may end up with a red one..or there a really nice LT1 blue just like yours on the showroom floor. Its a stick to boot.
One of the best comparisons the most important was probably the engine you could get v8 and not just a v6 all the add ons make it stand out while keeping it cheap. Probably lighter than the 1le
Here’s the deal guys I’m gonna drop some knowledge on you you can thank me later the LT1 is several hundred pounds lighter than the SS so all you have to do is upgrade the wheels front and rear and you have the ultimate sleeper. I should know I have one. All I did was add 1LE wheels and tires and it is faster than any stock SS.
You obviously just see the cosmetics of the cars and not anything else which I didn’t mentioned. If you trying to race people stock for stock then go for it but again you trying to add 3K on wheels and tires to compete with a car that’s made for the track. That’s like me slapping on a blower to compete with a ZL1
Sure.. your "1LE" are replicas, which are cast garbage.. real 1LE wheels are $3600 bucks without the $1800 set of tires, your missing mag ride suspension, brembo 14in brakes, electronic diff, actual oil and trans coolers, and your interior is rental car shit.. But its "faster".. Your replica wheels weigh almost 60lbs of weight difference from the real ones.. So your losing big time right there with reciprocal mass.. 1LE package is not meant for drag racing anyways..
@@BLUPRINT1LE what could possibly be the cause for people deeming 1LE not worth having? The car is a Beauty and a Full-time rock star. The only gripe is the taillights which is an easy fix and the goddamn dashboard area, its so average and lack luster- too much plastic. People complain about the visibility but I disagree. Plus the benefit of 2SS package! sssss….forget about it. The car is attractive. 2SS 1le scores 8 out of 10 IMHO.
@@Shakemoose It’s the cost if anything you can see a few comments where the LT1 is the same car and the 1LE not worth it but I guess it depends on what you doing with the car but I prefer the 1LE platform and I had a regular 2SS and I can tell the difference but the price could be a reason too
I know i’m late but i just ordered a RS LT1 and had a question, are the rs headlight the same as SS headlights? reason i’m asking is becuase i want to put a ZL1 bumper on it and need to know if i need to order new headlights or not
@@BLUPRINT1LE OH now I see! Alright thanks bro i appreciate it because my LT has horrible to zero suspension if I run over a damn penny the car does a front flip. I'm ready to upgrade to a higher trim lol.
You are right, GM names are all messed up. This LT1 Camaro has the same engine as the SS 1LE, it is the LT1 engine , so you could say that this is a SS 1LE LT1 camaro, as oposed to the SS 1LE LS3. And this LT1 Camaro is a LT1 LT1. And to add to the confusion the 1LT Camaro ( 2010-2013) had a V6 engine not a V8.
Nope I haven’t ran across any issues. As long as you don’t the oil changes you should be good. If you decide to add a cam, they will deactivate them. Manual’s don’t have that problem with deactivation it’s used in Autos only
Over time, the system could lead to issues with the engine, just like any car with cylinder deactivation. They have disablers that you can plug into the obd ports.
That’s a dope car! Your car stands right in the middle because it’s has more comfort features and the seats are a lot comfortable for daily driving versus 1LE is track all the time.
@@BLUPRINT1LE urwelcome. love the car, I've been wanting to get one that exact color, found one for sale but it's the base LT1 but I kinda like SS better
Much more than aesthetics when comparing a LT1 to a 2SS w/ 1le Camaro. Suspension is much better on the 1LE and includes GM's magnetic ride I believe. There's a reason why the pricepoint is much more for the SS w/ 1LE versus a LT1 built any way. The Camaro SS w/ 1LE has the best residual value of any Camaro including a ZL1 so that should tell you something right there??
Seems like you can’t find an LT1 anywhere with a v8 anymore for under 40k or I could be tripping. what are ur thoughts on the 1LT rwd? Don’t know much about Camaros but thinking about getting one. Looks like you can get a 1LT w a v8 for under 40ish
1LT is a V6 variant it doesn’t come in the V8. The “LT1” is the cheapest V8 option you can buy without any fancy performance suspension and so forth. Anything under 35-40iish is 2.0T or V6 engine wise
@@BLUPRINT1LE gotcha if u dont mind whats the differnce between the LT1 and 1ss? those are what im going between and the price range is a little more on 1ss and apparently 1ss 0-60 is 3.5 instead of 4 so that's one of the main reasons but idk y bc they have the same engine.
@@nonstopfeeds7169 LT1 has just a v8 motor with no trans cooler, oil cooler or any suspension and it has the v6 body and v6 instrument cluster. The 1SS has all what I mentioned above that the LT1 didn’t have. The LT1 also has 245 all around and 1SS has a slightly bigger tire on the rear which is a 275 on the rear
Iain gone lie he did a good ass job with the options. He basically got the SS for the Lt1 price..Lt1 also doesn't have the same drive modes which you didn't sho. Mexico time😋😋

You must have the LT1 with very little options for 37k. As long as your happy with your purchase and car that’s really what matters 💪🏾💯
@@BLUPRINT1LE my car will look just like his for $37k. 6 speed manual as well. If he wants to pay $7k for the LED strip that runs all the way across on headlights and a front splitter and a lil rear spoiler and smoked tail lights that’s his prerogative.
I like that you both have the Blue paint. I see a few camaros while im out driving and I have only seen one in the light blue. and one in the dark blue. most are white, red, or yellow and black. Ive seen one of those ugly ass green ones and a few super hideous orange. I am sad they took the Camaro away again for the 2nd time in my life. I was around driving age the first time and didnt get one and now I cant get one again cuz they quit making them. So stupid! I would buy a mustang or a used Camaro if I ever can!
You should be able to find one with this color! I seen a few on FB marketplace! A lot of people have them for sale! You should have some good luck and get one if they’re local! Try there!
Anther great vid Anthony! Depending on what you want it for, they’re both still great cars… I peeped the roto fab intake, I been thinking bout installing one! Any chance we can get a vid of mods you would recommend? 👀
I think I may be able to do that! You thinking about mods to keep the warranty or void the warranty? I did a video of something similar of mods that don’t void your warranty a while ago
Buying an SS over the LT1 doesn't make sense to me. It's the same engine, and performs the same. Driver MOD of course. But the only reason to buy an SS is for looks or things you do not actually need. All of which can be done aftermarket. Basically if you want the 6.2L V8 Camaro, GET THE LT1. It's the BEST value and bang...
Im sorry to admit but The 1LE is vastly superior out of the gate. It's been proven time and time again on various media outlets. Sure, you can upgrade an LT1 that already has the big brakes with wheels, tires, aero and seats, but you can't realistically add the electronic rear diff, performance traction modes or even the missing coolers, plus you'll be eating the initial price difference and then some. These things are much more expensive to add after purchase. However if you dont care and want a v8 for cheap then its perfect. They both have their purpose
@@BLUPRINT1LE I've owned a 1LE it was good, but not because the media said so. The SS is just an upgraded car from the dealer. All of which can be done on your own.
If a corvette is 59k, then Camaro LT1 should be 29K and 1LE should be 42k and ZL1 52K. Those would be reasonable prices. Dealers need to cut down on overhead. Sales should be online by app or website. Sell performance products, food, car shows at dealers.
The whole car isn’t finished lol(LT1) the front bumper/grill area look is bad IMO the rapid blue on lt1 needs lotion. Idk I’m just not fan on LT1 exterior at all.
It's crazy how they let you add some features and not the other but I guess if they let you do that it wouldn't be a SS for sale. So I guess that's how they let you pick and choose.
I agree, I don’t care for it as much but it don’t look bad on dark colors like black in my opinion but I need all the cooling and stuff for what I like to do with the car
The difference is the LT1 is a rental car V6 camaro with a garbage interior and infotainment with a V8.. and the 1LE is an amazing bargain, and set up with expensive parts that can not be bought for the $7k upgrade to 1LE.. The Recaro seats, brembo's, wheels, mag ride, and menacing look make the LT1 just look like shit.. Yes you can take an LT1 and put on some wheels and a spoiler and make a decent looking car but the interior is junk looking, the brakes are shit and so is the stock suspension.. By the time you have upgraded an LT1 you will have more invested into it as an SS 1LE that you could have got for about $45K.., and it still will be missing many nice parts like seats, brakes, mag ride, headlights, touch screen dash heads up display.. I mean the list goes on and on.. Its silly to spend $35k+ when for $10g more, you can have the car we all know you actually want..
They both have purpose and use cases but for me, I always wanted a linear power band out the SS vs the unpredictable tq of the ZL1. I probably drive my car more than the avg consumer tend use the car for but that’s my opinion
that's rough, 400 use a month and you have to give it back. Why would you ever do that? Buy an old car. that's 14k over his lease and can only drive it 30k miles . what a bad choice

Thanks for sharing! Its definitely one of those cars where you have and if you trade it in, you will miss it because its so underrated.

One thing it shows is that small changes to the outside of a car (wider Tires/Wheels, different wheels, widebody kit, color accents, tint etc.) can make a Car so much better looking… just like the 1LE is actually a good looking car vs. I wouldn’t look twice at an LT1…
Agreed!
Not many made,
You’re absolutely correct not too many agree but you are right based on the 1LE registry. It’s a package taken for granted and definitely under rated
Picking up my LT1 RS Saturday and can’t wait
Congratulations bro!
Throw some 285's up front and 305's in the back on that LT1 and you've got a fine automobile.
My man! Getting the 2024 LT1 Saturday!
Ayyyeee congratulations bro! You’ll enjoy it!
Up-level radio on the LT1 - no sound tube. 1SS base radio - sound tube. If he wouldn’t have gotten the Bose sound system, he would have had the sound tube. Just following up from my comment on a previous video Tony. Keep the good content coming 👍👍
That’s right! I don’t why I forgot that! Thanks for the reminder Nick!
Awesome video, great discussion on differences
Glad you enjoyed it!

Yo Ty spittin Hot Fire! And yeah man I like that LT1 it's the perfect car to get for drag racing for sure!

@@BLUPRINT1LE right lol
Great comment! To explain your personal experience between the two!
i just got my camaro i have the rapid blue rs lt1 too ! only difference is my wheels are sliver and some color mirrors and spoiler
Congratulations bro!
Bigger brakes the diff and the suspension it’s not that crazy of a difference if your used to handling rwd v8 cars you’ll be fine without it
I got a 2022 LT1 as well, planning to change the front bumper to an SS bumper, and the guage cluster for the SS one as well. Basically to make it look like an SS lol
Ayyeee that’ll work. Why you didn’t just get the SS, just curious
@@andrewdizon2953 ahhh ok now that you explain it that way, that make sense!
Don’t bother with any of that just get you some 1 LE Wheels and tires and you have the ultimate sleeper. The LT one speced this way it’s over 100 pounds lighter than SS
Thank you for the video showing awesome bro 😎 👏
Your welcome
Great video. Please make a back to back drive review with the LT1 and SS1LE to see if the extra cash is worth the performance benefits according to you
Thanks! Yes I can make that video happen
Its a stick to boot.
i got a 2018 ZL1 with only 12k miles on it for 4% APR and only 800 bux a month, with 12k down.
That’s wassup bro! That’s a good deal you got for Z!
One of the best comparisons the most important was probably the engine you could get v8 and not just a v6 all the add ons make it stand out while keeping it cheap. Probably lighter than the 1le
Exactly! Yes it is lighter than the 1LE because the cars serves different purposes
@@BLUPRINT1LE i didnt know all these things about chevy that you could customize it many ways
@@aydenmontes8859 yessir! However it does adds up pretty quickly depending on what you get
@@BLUPRINT1LE i bet little by little things get pricey but at least you could get what meet you needs
Also have way less cooling than a ss on transmission an engine
Can’t wait to take delivery of my 22 2SS 1le should be here next month SGM
Congrats bro! You know what’s up! Some people have think they 1LE is not worth it but there is a Camaro for everybody 💪🏾

Are the RS and SS bumpers interchangeable in case I wanted to swap it out?
Depending on which version of headlights you get. But I want to say yes but also no
You are right, GM names are all messed up.

Totally agree!

1LT is a V6 variant it doesn’t come in the V8. The “LT1” is the cheapest V8 option you can buy without any fancy performance suspension and so forth. Anything under 35-40iish is 2.0T or V6 engine wise

Let people act their wage.
Exactly
@@fueledbyshai well damn that’s a well written comment 😎

If a corvette is 59k, then Camaro LT1 should be 29K and 1LE should be 42k and ZL1 52K. Those would be reasonable prices. Dealers need to cut down on overhead. Sales should be online by app or website. Sell performance products, food, car shows at dealers.
Exactly bro! The reduction of overhead fees and other costs would definitely makes these cars reasonable

Remember the lt1 manual comes with Tremec TR3160 vs Camaro ss TR6060!
Really? I never heard of that
I’m more of a ss I guess. Ain’t nothing like the Z tho.
