Thank you for this content. 52 stall is great. Pretty day there in Chicago. I live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina but drive a lot in Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. We own an R1T, Ioniq6 and an ICE Chevy Impala. I love the Mach-E and your Mach-E looks great.
Those are not V4 charging cabinets. They are V4 stalls, but the cabinets are still V3. Or V3.5 as some people call them. They can only supply up to 250kW, whereas the actual V4 charging cabinets will support up to a 1,000 volts and 500kW charging speeds. Tesla will start adding them to V4 stalls this coming year. And please teach those rideshare drivers renting Teslas in Chicago how to precondition their batteries before charging at -20 below. That was embarrassing how dumb that was last year, when Norway has no issues with -40 below temperatures and a 94% full EV adoption rate.

For some reason Tesla is installing a lot of v4 dispensers with magic docks that can’t be used. I wonder why? For example I was at Rove in Santa Ana last weekend where they have 28 of them. I suppose it won’t matter soon once all the brands have NACS access, but for now my GV60 doesn’t have it yet. Merchy, are we going to see you at EVFest in Long Beach again next year? In the meantime, Merry Christmas 🎄
@jamesrea329 merry Christmas to you as well! I'm still in a financial rut but have been making progress lately. I do hope in time I'll be able to make the trip to SoCal for EV fest then! Yeah, the magic dock seem to be disabled for most other locations as well for some odd reason. Im sure it has something to do with Elon, but my guess is good as yours. Hope well know soon enough why
They might look like magic docks, but it could just be a different hanging socket, as V4 stalls have been having issues staying in their sockets without that "click on" socket that the magic dock uses.
