I have a GoTrax GMAX ultra and I got it for $650.... it’s 350w and is similar to this scooter in spec. Only thing is I have an old low back injury and placed an anti fatigue mat which I cut to shape of deck and double side taped it on deck! It actually works..... but ultimately I would think a dual suspension scooter is best for impact
i have the kqi3 pro. I think it's a worthy upgrade to get the max. Also, 2 year warranty! Most other scooters offer MUCH SHORTER warranty coverage period.
I have a KQi3 Pro and a Ninebot Max G30P. I'm going to gift the Pro to a family member and get the KQi3 Max. I'll probably keep the Ninebot Max for riding if it's going to rain. Then again, I recently rode the KQi3 Pro in a *massive* rainstorm with zero problems. 3 things I'd like to see from NIU: 1) Redesign the charge port cover. Mine broke off within a day of getting the scooter. 2) Increase top speed to 30 MPH. These scooters are built like tanks and feel like NIU is intentionally restricting the top speed (for legal reasons?) well below what they are capable of. 3) Add a simple suspension. NIU is on a roll and looks like they want to DOMINATE the scooter market. Their scooters feel solid - like a real vehicle - and make the competition look like overpriced toys.
@@thevoiceofreason4104 i agree and after watching this video, it kinda seems like it doesn't quite hit claimed speeds. I have mine coming in the mail and am hoping I'll be happy enough with the speed and torque. Thought about an eMove Roadrunner but couldnt justify twice the price for minimal performance gains -- however, they break 30mph without a sweat.
NIU scooters are build for quality, reliability, performance, modern design, value for money and the 2 years warranty is awesome that other scooters don’t have….❤❤❤
Hello, Why do the red brake lines on the front top of the scooter look scratched? Or is it the heat from the headlight that caused it? I'm between this and the Gotrax GMax Ultra. Which do you prefer?
Mine had something on them it was like paint or something but I was able to remove it. I've had mine about 3 weeks now and really happy with it and enjoy this purchase.
I just received mine. When the battery turns green after charging.. on the display it shows 88, but when I turn it on the app on my phone.. battery level shows 99%. Kinda weird but its ok. I haven't test driven it yet but I sure will tomorrow!
Hello, thanks for the review. Much appreciated. Which scooter would you recommend. This kqi max or the varla pegasus. Also which is easier to maintain would you say. Thanks again for all your reviews
If it had suspensions, I would've bought it already. What a pity. It's funny that the perfect scooter really doesn't exist, there's always something missing. How is it off-road? Too bumpy?
@@carbrickscity I did end up buying this scooter anyway haha. Still hasn't arrived yet. Everything else is great for the price, only the lack of suspension is a bummer, I'll just be careful with where i ride it on. Those caracteristics you said are great, my "perfect" scooter would be something like that as well. Big honeycomb tires with good suspension is the dream for me. Due to laws in my country, i can't care about speed, as long as it has a good motor and torque to go uphills.
Have you tried the Segway g2 max? About the same price right now for both. But the Segway has dual suspension. But the looks IMO kqi3 max beats it hands down on looks
Hi I have an important question. On my Max, the speedometer cannot seem to get over 21 Mph. I wasnt paying close attention but can you tell me the top speed you reached on flat ground? I am 130 pounds. I havent seen 23 mph on my scooter once. (I unlocked the custom mode in the settings)
It will only go past 20 to up to 24mph if its fully charged! I have the same issue. Below 80% battery it will drop down to 20mph even with the app custom setting. So you can only get it to op speed of 23mph between 100 and 80% battery!
I have the same scooter and i have noticed that those 23.6mph are only reachable at full charge or lets say between 80-100% of battery load and then max speed goes down to 20-21mph. Have you had the same experience?
lol Have seen way worse. At least he was just asking a question. I have seen people yelling xxx is trash and posted it everywhere. They even said the review itself is fake and lying lol Anyway where's the evidence that he's paid by Segway...he never even mentioned Segway and Segway could have the same problem too...couldn't he be paid by other companies...or maybe he never get paid but just asking a question. One thing for sure, I see Segway haters though. I am not a fan of either.
c'mon man nearly 1000 euros for a roller with battery? why not buy a normal motorcycle and move safer, faster and without all the compromises a roller has. Also many goverments offer subsidisation 40% if you buy an electric motorcycle so you san buy eg. a Piaggio 1 with that money, which is a normal transport like a 50cc moptorcycle.
My guess is you don't live in the US. This is much more portable over a motorcycle, and doesn't require a license to operate. Plus if you operate this on a sidewalk people don't get pissed off like they tend to do with an electric bike. And it's illegal to operate a motorcycle on a sidewalk in the US.
Well there are scooters that cost $600 or below, so definitely worth it more than motorcycles lol Not everyone have several thousands to spend and also motorcycle license and driving something as fast as a car but without a shell lol
I have the kq13 pro. It's NOT worth the upgrade to the max model. The max is only 2 mph faster in reality ! Lol 🤣 Stick with the pro version everyone ! 👍
Amazing review

NIU KQI 3 MAX or SMARGYRO CROSSOVER DUAL?
We have 2 Gotrax GT Tours and love them - but I wanting a longer range. I think this is it!
Very cool, im getting one👍🏽👍🏽 just ordered a TAUR
Hello what do you think which one is better this one it kugookirin g3
How's this compare to Ninebot Max, build and ride quality wise?
I have a Segway max. My wife prefers this over it. Much faster
@@ebpman good to know, is the weight difference very noticeable?

Varla Pegasus. Love the speed, and tires are solid. Ride is better on Kqi3. But ohh the speed
Varla blows they have terrible customer service. If you ever need a simple part your on a wait list for months. The Niu is much better.
Is the only option kick to start?
Yeah nobody ever talks about this. If it's kick to start it's a no-go

Havent tested the segway in a while. Could not say. My exposure to bot has been positive. I do feel service on the KQI is more responsive

That’s interesting mine says 23 on speedo and 24 in the app. I’m 137 lbs myself.
You need to change the custom speed setting to max and you will go faster

That's very disappointing. 4mph is a huge drop for 80% charge. Many scooters would only drop 2mph at 50%.

Really what are you seeing?
Sorry to hear that. This is not a preproduction model so it should match what you have
What problems are you having?
It would have been nice to see you put a nail in the tire and lets see if it self heals
Why the title has 40 mph?
Must've meant 40 mile range.
Arrrr. Miles not speed will fix

Top speed drops slightly as battery level goes down

The self healing tires don't work very good.
If all your care is a flat free experience, then get something with solid tires.
