  • Dear friends
I don’t know why I never considered doing the foodie haunts for Taipan earlier since it’s so close to my home. FYI, I actually go to Taipan at least once a week, sometimes 3 times and yet I didn’t think of featuring them. Taipan is however a food haven; you can find almost any type of cuisine here. For this episode I left out the eateries from the kopitiams since there are already so many restaurants here. I hope you find this episode compelling as much as I worked on it. Thanks for the support and see you in the next video.

been there everyday for dinner, 14 years ago when i was studying in KL.
still craving for clam and peanut porridge from one particular dimsum stall located inside a kopitiam next to the multi storey car park...

This episode best description is not the food but the attitude of the drivers. Especially the luxury cars drivers / owners

Watching this episode at Taipan foodie haunt not only gives you a good idea of the food paradise there but also gives you a good insight on the historical context of the area - great job illustrated by Elmo. There are also quite a number of new restaurants featuring favorites oldies dishes to interesting newly ventures restaurants in the Taipan area. A well thought explanation on similar dishes served by pioneer restaurants ( eg. Chilly pan mee ) versus another same restaurant serving the same offerings. At the end of this episode - one does feel like Creme de la Creme- feeling good, sweet and satisfying without any artificial flavors- everything ORIGINAL - from Elmo with passion and great enthusiasm as always !! Yatt Lau 👌🏽 Mou Tak Deng 👌🏽!!!

Thanks for sharing. Good coverage of the variety of choices. That keeps me updated about the happenings over there. I used to stay a few years in Subang more than 20 years ago. Now migrated to Australia over 17 years now. Keep doing great videos like this. Keep it up.

Aye our backyard. Despite living here in USJ since 1996, your intro is very educational and enlightening.
Ate at most of the places you’ve covered and personally I’d say there are better alternatives away from Taipan in the surrounding USJ suburb. Food prices in Taipan tends to be more expensive because their rental is higher. Places like USJ 1, 2, 6, 14, 16, 17 and 20 have some pretty tasty food and cheaper prices compared to Taipan.
Parking in all commercial areas in USJ is always difficult to find. The same can be said of SS areas in Subang Jaya eg. SS14 and SS15

Good video. Subang & USJ memang a lot of makan, and are often underrated for some reason. You made a good call leaving out the kopitiams, because there are just too many to feature.
There restaurants you have mentioned in your video also not complete yet, strictly speaking. But a good coverage nonetheless. Good job, Elmo 👍👍
Perhaps another video specifically for the kopitiams. But, it will be quite daunting. Hahaha. So many, in just a small town (city). 2 episodes for it, maybe.
