  • Dear friends
For this episode I will take the opportunity to talk about Limkokwing since their campus was stationed in Taman Mayang some 20 year ago. In case you didn’t already know I did work for Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing in the 80s while he was running his advertising agency. Ten years ago, I went to his university to lecture since he always wanted his students to be taught by experienced industry people. Since I worked for him for a while, I dare say I learned quite a lot from him. As you can see, the front part of the video is my way of honoring him in my little ways, nonetheless the video still focuses on food. If you like this video, please give me a thumbs up and consider subscribing, also please press the bell too.
Thank you and see you in the next video

Just to add a little more fun fact on Lim Kok Wing on his role to help South in the first democratic elections:
Though he is too humble to mention it, Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing was instrumental in Mr Mandela’s victory - from using his own company to produce 60 tonnes of ANC billboards, to providing the winning strategy behind Mr Mandela’s successful campaign.
“Your untiring efforts on our behalf have touched the hearts of us all and you have shown true friendship and solidarity with the people of South Africa and our endeavour to transform South Africa into a free, just and democratic country,” Mr Mandela said in an official letter to Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing, following his election as President.
Wow, what a tribute from the great man himself.

Taman Mayang is indeed a hidden gem ... plenty of good & affordable food. The same foodcourt , at night there is a a good western seller, the portion is reasonable big and price is affordable. Only problem with that foodcourt is , drink is self service and the cleaners do not clean the tables . But overall the food in that area is good ! Thank you for sharing

Last time oasis was the OG. That time only a shed with Williams and that vegetarian restaurant. Williams have since moved to the mayang plaza. That one has connection with Murni SS2.

Must try the Yau char Kwai. Looks good. But I don't like Ernie's food. His Hainanese Chicken Chop and Grilled Chicken Chop weren't that good. Chicken pieces were small, taste so so, and he uses very low quality vegetables to garnish my chicken chop. Fries weren't properly done as well. He charged Rm16-18 for the chops. Why can't he be fair to us who pay big bucked to eat in a coffee shop?

This food court use to have a Segambut Yong Tau Foo during 2020 to 2021... unfortunate they can't sustain during lockdown. It's one of the best in PJ. Most of the food in this food court for me is just average.

This is a video about Taman Mayang Jaya food or honouring your socalled idol of a supposedly great doer ???? Aiyah, you only highlight all his superficial good deeds, but there were a lot of bad things that he did ! (For that, you can ask a lot of his former college students !). Besides, like most Malaysian cronies, he had solid backing from a very powerful and evil politician ! Cheers, chill man !

Alice, I share your sentiments. Once I was running a campaign for a very big client in LKW and he ask his security guard to chase me out as the music was disturbing him. It was so humiliating. Plus, this client even had a JV with them for their student to design their food packaging. I cant never forget this. In my lifetime, this is the first time a campus chase me out for bringing value to their students.

Every eating place in your video looks third world and the problem with all this eating places majority of the food has poor ingredients and lack the abundant in proteins and they supplement it with MSG for poor ingredients. Example prawn noodle prawn is slice to very thin slice. In countries like China, HK, Singapore, US, Australia etc. prawn is a whole big pieces and meat portion are in abundant. I think you are glorifying too much third world food.
