It has been a while since i was on a food hunt, seeking out the best and hidden gems in Johor Bahru. Anyway, today we will be exploring Taman Mount Austin area which is
5 minute away from AEON Tebrau. Decided to drop by this new place and I have a sudden craving for Nasi Kandar. Together, let's explore and see how's the food over here. Been a while since i was here in Mount Austin so yes, definitely a place worth checking out.
Just to take the time, for a short intro about myself, I'm JT and welcome to my channel. This channel is about travel, culture, food & family fun.
Currently most of the travels would be in Malaysia( mainly in Johor Bahru)& sometimes in Singapore as well but I will be covering the various and different states every now and then. And as for food, I am a foodie so basically as long there is tasty food, good spots or hidden places, I will try my best to cover them for you guys.

The food here quite good. Spacious and clean as well. Service good. We will go back there again.
Ya, the place is OK and able to accomodate large group of people, and they have plenty of staff as well. Still a great place to check out in Mount Austin.

Nasi Kandar Hijrah ,yup been there before. Well you can say that this place will give them a run for their money as well. So now you also have another option for your Nasi Kandar cravings in JB. Should give it a try if you are around there next time around.

I think around 1.45pm - 2 pm, so ya, i think probably around lunchtime on a weekend so much bigger crowds than usual.
So Nasi Kandar Hijrah got a new challenger now? Will take note when I am around the Mount Austin area the next time.
You should go Penang for authentic Nasi Kandar.
