Thank you for this long term ownership update, there isnt much info out there on these bikes here in Europe . and as you mentioned the price is 3 to 4 times as much , crazy. we just bought Niu m+ lite , it cost 2.5k euro , i bet it is only 700 in china
supernova1976 no worries, I’m glad you liked it, as you say you can get the niu ( depends on the model) starting from 4000rmb up to about 10,000 rmb. Great bikes also!!
Great informative video of a real world update on someone who's actually lived with one. I'm toying with the idea of getting one or the max here in the UK, my only main concern at the moment is any warranty issues here in the UK as I suspect there will not be the same level of dealership support.
I've had mine for almost 4 months, liking it so far (bought in Canada). it doesn't like hills, of which there are a lot of where I live. The one I have will do 45kmh on 1, 60kmh on 2, and 68-70kmh on 3. I get similar range to you, wish they weren't so optimistic about range, a bit disappointing once you start riding. I ride at night a lot, the headlight is great and the gauge is easy to read any time of day. Almost wishing I had waited for the Max, but this will do for now.
I'm fixing up a 50cc scooter right now, but as soon as I can fix and sell it, I'm getting one of these. I live on the west coast and this would be so much fun for commuting.
Cheers buddy, good informative video. It's 4 and 5 k in the UK for the 2 models. We have to pay at least 2k just for an average ebike,if only it was easier and cheaper to import from China. City Coco or Roofer in China have released some easy rider chopper style mopeds 50cc catagory which you can ride on a UK driving licence tax free and upto 4kw power, without having to do a bike test just CBT, I personally think this market for city centre commuters will be massive but such a limited choice in the UK it's terrible.
Cheers my friend. Useful information. Looking to get one of these for in and around London. Test rode the TC Max but think I might go for the TC. The Max seems like you're carrying around a much heavier battery that you're not going to use. Anyway thanks again!
As usual europe being in the technological stone ages - we get ripped off...he said it costs 10.000-15.00sek in china...yeah i was thinking of buying, but i opted for a 1500W bicycle conversion kit....with home built battery made from RC plane packs...This really pisses me off...considering to pack my shit and move out from the sinking ship that EU is today...
Thanks mate! There is a rebranded and slightly modified e bike launching in Indian, the Revolt 400. Lets us know what you think of the slight modifications.
price its killing it in Europe, points towards not owning it 1. i need to register it like normal motorcycle so I need to pay yearly fee, 2. cant pick it up and take it indoors, 3. range top speed... I guess its fair but for that price for me so far winner is Delfast e-bike. But I like the design, there are some bikes that have swap-able battery it they would introduced that to soco that would be huge win.
You’re right on all points...its a shame that its priced so bad in Europe, it could be a huge success based purely on the looks of it. It’s still a nice little bike if you can get it for a very good price, just a shame so many middlemen are involved in the distribution side of things...
Since I’m thinking on using a bike only for commuting do you think a Super Soco Cux scooter is a good option or a better alternative to the TC? It’s cheaper so that in my perspective makes it more appealing. What do you think? Thanks for the honest review! Cheers
Thanks very much Wuxi.. (wha'?) You've done me a service. I'm looking for electric commute options but my budget won't stretch that far here in France. Even just the scooter's 2,600€ and I am tempted but wonder if there's an option to have one sent by sea mail from China. All the best, Derek
Hey, yes that is plenty living here in China, any faster and you’d be in a world of trouble (and pain). I mainly run in the 2nd speed setting, only using the 3rd (fastest) when the roads are clear and open. Glad you enjoyed the video !!
Hi! It would be great if you could give some insight on how does the bike perform when going uphill, have not found much information about it and I live in a place with lots of hills. Will it be enough? Can you ride 2 people uphill with no issues? Thank you. Nice video.
I think all ebikes should add a siren driven by the wind or wheels or something to make some sort of noise coz it is very dangarous to ride a silent bike.
great vedio brother in our country its goining to be rebranded as.revolt 400 lot of upgrades was thinking how it would be they are launching it this 28 th no much info.about bike but your vedio helped a lot
Just trying to do some repairs without going to the store and their high prices via Taobao and came across your video. Are you still in Wuxi? Or is the name just a catchy one you chose? Found it a bit weird you happen (if so) to be there as it's also where I live and have this bike.
For the price, there's not much out there that can beat it. I use it during the summer. Just as a car alternative for short trips. It's quite fun to zoom around on. Only downside for me is the throttle. It's really difficult to find an hold the right amount. And the whole power train cuts out every once in a while after applying quick throttle. The shop hasn't been able to sort it for almost a year. Getting irritated by that as it's dangerous when crossing streets.
Erik van Rijn I agreed, it’s a good alternative method of travel, for the issue you are describing, I would swap out the throttle control for a new one, I had a similar issue and this solved the problem for me. Ride safe!!
I’d love to, but unfortunately my circumstances have changed somewhat and I no longer own the bike. From my experience, it is a nice little machine, but not as robust as a moto… I’m not sure how this little bike would hold up over 15 years, my thoughts are that it would deteriorate over that time. But in the short term it’ll (5-8 years) be fine. Good luck buddy. Thanks for watching!!
How much time it takes to charge from zero to full ?and also mention that normal outlet of power at home will charge it or need some kind or specialized charger?
It looks like the cons are quite bad 😕. What motorcycle would you recommend for a city like London? I'm unsure if this one or a scooter (horwin or super soco CPX)
The one thing i noticed about mine is how poor the rear shock is, literally doesn't soak any of the bumps up at all, i can even hear the battery banging against the sides in the bike when going over even the smallest of bumps, probably more to do with the small wheel to the poor shock and it placement all add up to a very uncomfortable ride.... I did laugh how you said zero maintenance then complained of brake rubbing, these bikes like any bike are not zero maintenance, you still have to maintain all aspects of the bike, tires, lights, brakes, shocks, bearings, the list goes on.
3400E in Slovakia. Absolutely crazy and makes no sense to buy because there is lack of service centers.Your positive review is only because you bought and use it in china.
Well that depends, but yeah. I have a tc and I am 176 cm and it fitts me great. I whould say yes, you may be to long for this. I mean its not a big motorcyckel
hey, great vid thanks! i m planning to buy one of this. im just worried if i ll be able to ride uphills (im also around 95kg). i ll ride about 20-25 kms a day and i doubt if it d climb hills with me. those 20 km is not pure hill but there are some hard ones. would u still suggest it ?
Hi nice review Wondering what was the issues you had which result to battery and throttle change? Mine is stopping with error 98 and then start again Dealer is changing the alarm, not very convince on the solution
sandrine L hey, I had the same issue, which prompted the dealer to swap the battery, he first tried to update the firmware in the existing battery, but then said I needed a new battery, which he gave me. The throttle issue was something different. Good luck, I found that in China the after sales support was very good, and they went over and beyond to try to fix any issues. Good luck with your bike.
Hi, Thanks for the vid. Can you link where we could buy these in China. Here in Europe as you mentioned are way pricier. Would really appreciate. Thanks :)
Well a single battery is kinda lackluster...not enough range for most of the commuters and its way more than id pay with the second battery...me being in the uk i think its a bit to expensive for what it is...maybe prices will come down in 1-2 years who knows...in the meantime my trusty Mercedes 300D still wont die...a black smoke cloud behind it is an added bonus i suppose=)
Sorry but no, check the European forums, those guys are riding these bikes around a fair bit, I wouldn’t be surprised to find that it can be hacked somehow.
Hey Andrew, thanks for your comment, yep, 8/10.... there are other ebikes that are better built, check out the NIU bikes, they are built flawlessly, and seem to hold up really well. As for the Soco, there are areas that it could be improved to reach the NIU standard. Hence my score.
The bad it start rusting on the frame Suspension is not good . Cable not good Disc brake make so much noise Plastic cap gone away Rear view mirror not solid Average this bike is fragile
Yep, kinda agree with all those points, hence why i gave this just an average score for build quality, it can be improved, but at your own cost, otherwise its an ok bike!!
Thank you for this long term ownership update, there isnt much info out there on these bikes here in Europe . and as you mentioned the price is 3 to 4 times as much , crazy. we just bought Niu m+ lite , it cost 2.5k euro , i bet it is only 700 in china

hey, why did u prefer niu to super soco? i wanna buy an e bike and these two are the best options in my country.
Great informative video of a real world update on someone who's actually lived with one. I'm toying with the idea of getting one or the max here in the UK, my only main concern at the moment is any warranty issues here in the UK as I suspect there will not be the same level of dealership support.
Mate, perfect timing. Asked Sara to get my one for my birthday next week.
Awesome man, stay safe and keep it locked.
🤣

Did you derestrict to get it to go that fast ? I'm also in Canada, scared it will max out at 45 kmh
@@cfillygo no, came unrestricted. I don't know of any that come restricted. You just need to insure it. Test ride one if you can.

The TC is much more aesthetic imo.
I'm fixing up a 50cc scooter right now, but as soon as I can fix and sell it, I'm getting one of these. I live on the west coast and this would be so much fun for commuting.

Awesome video. Very clear, very informative. And thanks for using km, kg, liters!
Great review. Thanks for sharing. I agree on all good points!

Thank you for the really simple clear info.
Way overpriced here in the UK for what it is but so is everything lol.
Nice review. You should do comedy btw.
Great info, thanks. You say its an electric bike, not a motorbike. I have an electric bike(Orbea)so not sure if worth getting a Soco now.
In sweden the bike cost's 3000$ and if you want a extra battery it will cost you 1100$.

very good. by a super socco tc max. it rocks

400 pond a new battery? (=€474) In the Netherlands 999 euro !

Can you please tell me, does this bike have steering lock, I heard the handle of the bike doesn’t lock.
hi Do you still have Super Soco TC Max ? how many km now?
So you are 95 kgs heavy, and the Tc can reach the 70-75 km/h? If that's true, then it is more than enough

Is this a dual battery or a single battery ?
Where did you buy it from?
How much time it takes to charge from zero to full ?and also mention that normal outlet of power at home will charge it or need some kind or specialized charger?
8 hours. Long!
What other electric motorcycles are better than the tc in build quality? I searched the niu but only see scooters
Yeah that’s the ones, they only make scooters, but the build quality is very good.
It looks like the cons are quite bad 😕. What motorcycle would you recommend for a city like London? I'm unsure if this one or a scooter (horwin or super soco CPX)
Might be ok for central London, maybe take a look at the NIU e-scooters, they also were popular in China, and from what I could see were well built.
@@martintin250 I'll have a look. I hope their range reflects the reality
@@martintin250 it's cool that niu GTS pro has cruise control (on a scooter? wow) and brake harvesting.

For around £1000 you can get a reasonably mediocre pedal electric e bike that does what a mountain bike does with assisted pedaling.
The bad it start rusting on the frame
Suspension is not good .
Cable not good
Disc brake make so much noise
Plastic cap gone away
