Hi thanks for coming over. I did a little video on life with the GS310, On how it’s behaved, the problems I’ve it’s given me and a few other bits and pieces. Feel free to comment, and I’ll try to answer the best I can. Thanks for watching!! Enjoy 😊!
Cannondale Bad Boy. Bottom Bracket Replacement. Square Taper. A terrible instructional video.

A terrible instructional video, more a chat to the camera when I swapped out an old Grindy BB for a shiny new one. The bike is a old Cannondale Bad Boy 26” 2009 that I picked up for £50 on FB marketplace, a bargain if you ask me. I’ve been using this as primarily my commuter bike through the uk winter as I didn’t fancy grinding away my nice parts on my other bikes. I’ve made a few alterations, ...

Super Soco TC, the good, the bad, some user experience. Any questions, hit me up in the comments section. Thanks for watching!!
Excellent, thanks.
I love the little bike. I use to greenlane over Salisbury it's great. I did change the suspension, bars and tyres. I have a 1250 bmw for work but love riding this. Thanks for your thoughts on the bike.
I replaced the front 16T sprocket with a 17T sprocket. They are about $20 on Amazon and it completely transformed how the bike rides! Now feels more comparable to a 500cc bike. I can now easily cruise 75+mph on the interstate and it made all of the lower gears much more useful as well.
I have a 2019 that has been lowered 2 inches in the rear and approximately 1” in the front. I am 5’8” with a 30” inseam. Works great for me.
You got 14,000 miles on your original Metzeler Tourance tires? I thought I was doing well to get 8500 miles from mine. I have 8200 miles on my 2019 G310GS and I'm ordering tires this week. I"m getting some 50/50 tires that are more off road capable because I use my G310GS as a lightweight adventure bike. I ride it off road and seldom ride highways. I mostly ride secondary roads. I'll probably get Shinko 804/805 or Kenda Big Block tires. I bought the bike new in October 2020 and paid $4920 out the door, which I thought was a very good price. I do all of the maintenance myself and it's been 100% reliable for the last 3.5 years. I'd get a sore butt after a couple of hours of riding but I don't anymore. I think my backside grew accustomed to the bike or the seat wore in to fit my butt. I installed a woven air cushion sear cover and I stand on the pegs when riding through small towns on longer trips. The generous three year factory warranty expired without ever using it, which was fine by me. My 2019 probably had more of the bugs worked out as compared to buying the first model year. I've made a lot of modifications to the G310GS and have a few more to go. I wish the 310GS had a 450 cc engine for the few times I ride on highways but that's not a big deal to me. It has plenty of power for the riding I do 95+% of the time. My biggest complaint is the 2.9 gallon fuel tank. I wish it had a 5 gallon fuel tank.
Good reviews and it's a bike I'm considering, to replace my scooter, for my commute in London. Any thoughts on using the GS for that type of use?
Excellent take on it. I bought mine new last summer in 2023. I’ve been very happy with it. It’s not a big bike but it’s plenty big enough. Great review.
Rennies for indigestion
Can I put pannier rack on this bike?? Thanks
I would say so. 👍
Very interesting, I’m thinking of buying one of these just for bimbling around the back lanes on and the occasional long haul. Great video- Thankyou
It's great to see some normal ownership review thanks for taking the time to share :) getting harder an harder to find stuff like this amongst all the paid reviews. If you end up repainting the Exhaust check out Wurth Matt Lack spray for the exhaust great stuff an I've used it on a 350lc Yam.
Thanks for the tip. Cheers 👍
Mate. The way you popped that hip in the photo was luscious. If you have a Greek mate. That could be the cause of the soar bum. Not the. bike
Wait.. what? You like my ass?.. sorry not my thing… but I’ve stuck a air flow seat cover on and that’s sorted the sore bum problem. Thanks for watching. 👍😊
It looks like the cons are quite bad 😕. What motorcycle would you recommend for a city like London? I'm unsure if this one or a scooter (horwin or super soco CPX)
Might be ok for central London, maybe take a look at the NIU e-scooters, they also were popular in China, and from what I could see were well built.
@@martintin250 I'll have a look. I hope their range reflects the reality
@@martintin250 it's cool that niu GTS pro has cruise control (on a scooter? wow) and brake harvesting.
It's legally a motorcycle

It's hard to imagine you putting 14,500 miles on the original Metzeler Tourance tyres. I put 6000 miles on my G310GS in three years and was pleasantly surprised that they look like they'll be good for 7000 to 8000 miles. I don't commute. I bought the bike for my 60th birthday with the intention to do some motorcycle camping but most of my miles have been day rides of 200 to 400 miles on secondary roads with the occasional gravel or dirt. The three year warranty on my 2019 G310GS expires in a couple of weeks. I never needed it. I've had 6000 trouble free miles so far and I've done all of the routine maintenance per the BMW schedule. I love the little G310GS. It's nearly perfect for my needs and wants. I've done a lot of mods and updates to customize it for my use. My only real con is the 2.9 gallon fuel tank. It should be at least 5 gallons. An adventure bike should have a minimum range of 500 km, or 300 miles. Unfortunately, there is no aftermarket fuel tank to extend the range.
Great review Martin, thanks
Very welcome
How fare did you get with a tank of fuel
Great info, thanks. You say its an electric bike, not a motorbike. I have an electric bike(Orbea)so not sure if worth getting a Soco now.
We drive our 310 gs for about the same time and in the same conditions, but on opposite sites of the North Sea! Greetings from Belgium!
Thank you for the video. I just purchased these fenders for my FX 3. Trek is going to install them. Are you still enjoying them? Do they rattle? Any drawbacks?
All good so far, still working, thousands of kilometres on them still going strong. The plastic clips that adjusted the stays are maybe a little brittle, but replacements are available, thanks for the comment!!
thanks for your opinions
Heard you talk about the seat height- I think you can adjust it to be lower. Great review, thanks!
3400E in Slovakia. Absolutely crazy and makes no sense to buy because there is lack of service centers.Your positive review is only because you bought and use it in china.
Thanks for the vid, i've also had mine 3 yrs now and have done 28k km, Bmw great on warranty, good to see you enjoy it.
Thanks for the detailed video. Helped a lot.
Thank you for the really simple clear info. Way overpriced here in the UK for what it is but so is everything lol.
you can stand up when you been riding a bit to strech your legs ? wtf. the range does not let you go far enough
The one thing i noticed about mine is how poor the rear shock is, literally doesn't soak any of the bumps up at all, i can even hear the battery banging against the sides in the bike when going over even the smallest of bumps, probably more to do with the small wheel to the poor shock and it placement all add up to a very uncomfortable ride.... I did laugh how you said zero maintenance then complained of brake rubbing, these bikes like any bike are not zero maintenance, you still have to maintain all aspects of the bike, tires, lights, brakes, shocks, bearings, the list goes on.
Can you please tell me, does this bike have steering lock, I heard the handle of the bike doesn’t lock.

Thanks for the video, I liked watching a video with a regular person who has spent some real time with a bike, rather than a pro riding it for 30 minutes. Also, I would love to see a video about the modifications you have done.
Thanks for the comment, I have a few ideas that I’d like to video, and for sure, the modifications is one of them. Thanks for watching! 👍
hi Do you still have Super Soco TC Max ? how many km now?
Like having a beer with a buddy next door. Thanks.
could you perhaps do an update? as I am interested in buying that same model this year and would like to know what to expect very long term.
I’d love to, but unfortunately my circumstances have changed somewhat and I no longer own the bike. From my experience, it is a nice little machine, but not as robust as a moto… I’m not sure how this little bike would hold up over 15 years, my thoughts are that it would deteriorate over that time. But in the short term it’ll (5-8 years) be fine. Good luck buddy. Thanks for watching!!
very good. by a super socco tc max. it rocks
Hi. What's up with the Kickr flywheel?
is the handle removable?
Nice video, can it simulate the real 20% gradient ?thanks :)
Great review. Thanks for sharing. I agree on all good points!
It's pronounced 'Super Suck-o!' you'll find
Is this a dual battery or a single battery ?
Sorry that was the wrong video,my apologies I'm old lol. I meant to send this video of the Chinese moped.thanks again buddy 👍🏻 ruclips.net/video/HQLtd01RF5M/видео.html
Don't suppose you would buy one of these and do a review would you.😂🤣 If you don't like it you can send it to me.lol. These Chinese mopeds are the way forward I think for the UK.👍🏻 ruclips.net/video/f1Lv_2AJmGA/видео.html
Cheers buddy, good informative video. It's 4 and 5 k in the UK for the 2 models. We have to pay at least 2k just for an average ebike,if only it was easier and cheaper to import from China. City Coco or Roofer in China have released some easy rider chopper style mopeds 50cc catagory which you can ride on a UK driving licence tax free and upto 4kw power, without having to do a bike test just CBT, I personally think this market for city centre commuters will be massive but such a limited choice in the UK it's terrible.
I thought X7 is launched just in 2021, looks like it was launched two years at least. Am I correct? Still thanks for your clear introduction and unboxing video.
So what about the brake rub? Have you managed to fix it? Or at least improve it? It is driving me insane...
Any updates? Did it withstand the adverse conditions you placed on it?
regen breaking
Thanks a lot! I have Checkpoint AL3 and going to order set of those fenders. I've tries cheaper ones before but couldn't install them because they are incompatible with my bike.
They are great fenders, mine are still going strong
