  • Super Soco TC Max review
    They say you should never underestimate small packages and that’s exactly where the Super Soco TC Max fits. It might be the equivalent of a 125 cc combustion motorcycle and a mere 100kg in curb weight, but don’t be thinking this bike is anything but mighty!
    After a week living with the Super Soco TC Max I can say it was a sad day when it left. Within five minutes of pulling away for the first time I knew this was a bike that makes smiles. If you’re looking for an insanely economical commuter, small around town run about OR a motorcycle suitable for just a CBT licence then this is a very strong contender. Here’s why I highly rate the Super Soco TC Max.

    I am 62 and have the Rooder Mangosteen Sara electric Bike 72v 4000w (Harley chopper ) that goes 61mph and will do 85 miles. It's free road tax and I love it. I imported it from China cost 3000 pounds with shipping to your front door. They sell in the UK for about 7000 pounds. and it took about 8 weeks to arrive.

    One of the best looking electric motorcycle out there

  • @cristiancojocaru7655
    @cristiancojocaru7655 3 года назад +1

    I've tested this bike and I can tell you that this is what all bikes should be from now on regardless of size.My work takes me roughly and in many occasions up to about 30 miles away from home and on combined A and B roads with mild traffic usually.The possibility to take the battery off and charge it away from the bike or charge it on the bike,it is a very big selling point for me because some of my work areas they have no possibility of parking the bike next to a plug so removing the battery and charge it elsewhere is super dupper 😚
    I have to mention that currently I'm riding an Piaggio liberty 125cc latest generation but as any other petrol bike or scooter out there it has its down points and one of these that puts me off is THE MAINTENANCE costs!!!
    Every 6000 miles I have to spend at least 230£ on it and then if everything goes ok the petrol.One tiny problem with bikes in general is that as long as they run ok they are cost effective but if any mechanical problem comes up then bills can be very high unless you are are your own mechanic.
    Coming back to this electric motorcycle after I tested,I can honestly say that it is the most relaxing thing to ride and because is almost dead silent your senses can focus better on everything around you.
    They say LOUD ENGINES SAVE LIVES and I say, yes,but not always and I'm saying this from my experience over the years!
    I think if anyone that loves riding but silently and comfy,should go on one of these dealerships and have a test ride for at least 30 minutes and then stop and draw conclusions.As this girl said,this particular bike is for commuting mostly but there are plenty of other electric bikes out there with insane amounts of power and range but as well at different prices too.
    Now,I can speak for myself and my financial position and this bike balances my finances without breaking the account.
    Have a test ride and judge for yourself!

    The bike has a cargo weight - at your right leg sitting on it- of 150kg. Not very much that’s passengers and cargo. I love it as a single person bike - naked . I do have a NIU NQI Sport and it carries 268kg and feels a lot more planted, but not as fast. Also the battery on the NIU is 10kg whereas on the Super Soco is 21kg.

      Average US commute is 16 miles each way. Average commute time is 1 hour round trip (according to our ABC News). Sounds like the perfect distance/average speed for little electric bikes. Unfortunately Americans are notoriously stubborn about giving up our big trucks and cell phones.

  • @SwizzlyBikerCH

    I have not watched the whole video, because I am still waiting for the first bike that is really suitable for travelling.
    There are a few providers now, but for people like me, who live in the mountains and mostly offer their tours there as a motorcycle tour guide, there is unfortunately no good offer yet.
    We will have to give up the brand thinking - at the moment I ride an Indian Roadmaster and a BMW R 1200 GS - and I honestly don't care. I'm just looking forward to the moment when a motorcycle comes on the market that can handle at least 300 km distance with changing routes over passes and in city traffic and on which you can really take luggage for tours of several days.
    I am sure you will keep us up to date. Keep up the good work. You're doing great Vanessa! 👍🏻

    Torque ... The Ducati (and Zeros also) measure the torque on the wheel. The Super Soco torque is measured at the motor. Meaning the TC Max just has a fraction of the torque of the other bikes. STILL the Super Soco TC Max has quite the punch compared to other small 125cc bikes. Always enough acceleration in any city environment. Nifty little bike!

    Very well reviewed and well explained tech features. One note: You said 64mph streamlining. I assume that was speedo mark. Can you do a GPS speed check? Speedos are notoriously optimistic. I need a bike capable of just over 100KPH to be safe on the way into town on the highway ( 8km). Most review say just UNDER 100kph (60mph).

    • @TheGirlOnABike
      @TheGirlOnABike  4 года назад

      That was 64mph. leaning forwards to be a small airstrip 60 mph is realistic. No GPS no, I guess I'm really not too bothered by a couple of points out as living with a bike isn't about exact speeds for me. Sorry I can't help with that one.

    Could you make a review on the previous 45mph, more affordable version (TC model) that uses a hub motor? Seems to have slightly more range due to two swappable batteries.

    • @TheGirlOnABike
      @TheGirlOnABike  4 года назад +1

      Hey, just looking at the TC specs and it says 80 miles but with two batteries. That implies only a 40 mile range per battery and it has a 28mph max speed. Could be ideal in a city environment but for the small amount more I'd probably sway to the TC Max. Maybe it is possible to buy a spare battery for the TC Max - that would give a 120 mile range BUT bear in mind that these batteries are big. Like a large boot shoe box and 20kg so it's not like you could ride with the second one to swap out.

    • @esk8jaimes
      @esk8jaimes 4 года назад

      @@TheGirlOnABike yeah, it's one of those range or speed Ebikes comprises with these two models. The TC is great if all your wanting is a 50cc with that extra 15mph (easily unlocked too) Plus, you can always just use a single battery and have the second battery space as a mini boot. Another thing to bear in mind is the wheel/motor lock system doesn't work unless there's a battery inside the bike. These batteries are slightly smaller and lighter than the TC-Max batteries too.

    I like these electric bikes, but, point 1. - I still think that even with the Grant they are quite expensive- eesh!. 2. If battery technology improves plus with more ethical resourcing ( i.e. no 10 year old children working 10-14 hours a day mining lithium, sadly true- but lets say a huge improvement in Salt batteries, which would be cheaper too). 3. with point 2, improved range and general performance etc of batteries would be something I look forward to. 4. with point 2 and point 3, I cant see that electric bikes have any environmental friendly advantage over a diddy petrol scooter , especially with the lithium mining, so, ----- I think that I would, at the moment, choose Petrol over Electric. Sorry, but they look fun and they seem to be the future, like it or not.

      I hear you there, an electric bicycle for £2-3k would be far better for the health but I guess this one is made for a slightly longer commute and sadly many of use couldn't handle a 50 mile daily commute! I use to do 16 miles [pre the accident and all my surgery reconstruction of the shoulder and hip] but I don't think my hip would let me do that now. i just love how many different options there are out there now, it's exciting to see
