- One year ago Alex Hernandez of Sac Speed Shop stopped by the shop and kicked off the beginning of his dealership with Detroit Speed At that same time we had just released our 4th Gen suspension product line and he just so happened to have an '01 Camaro SS/SLP so it only made sense that the car received that suspension. By far one sick SS that will stand out above many out there. Love that exhaust sound, and it's tricky to get 20's looking good on these fourth gens, he knocked it out with that setup. Great video thanks for sharing

That exhaust rumble is King 👑 Meanest I’ve heard except for a 67 427 at idle but the LS7 sounds better revved up!!

Im still in high school and i just didn't like the idea of riding around in a little 4 cyl so i bought a beat up fbody, Definitely gonna have to look into picking up some of these parts at some point though, that cars something different.

I always loved the look of the 98-02 with the front end upgrade. These cars have always been sexy as hell on the outside and terrible on the inside. This is a beautiful example, but I sure was hoping for an interior upgrade.
You're definitely right. The stock interiors really are crap. They just feel and look cheap.
Yup interiors were definitely not very impressive. Couldnt stand the factory steering wheel in mine I got a momo

Production for 2001 saw 6332 Camaro SS built; at the time it was the lowest production year in the history of Camaros. Only 3512 coupes with 6 speed manuals came from factory, and if it were still original paint (navy blue metallic), that color combo is 1 of 456. Add the SLP CME, and the number drops more....

Great video guys...we need more 4th gen content. I have a very similar looking 2001 SS Camaro with the DSE fender flange kit and a bunch of BMR stuff.... why no strut tower brace? Is this a new parts line for 4th gens?
We feel like there are a lot of STB kits currently on the market that don't need much to be improved on, but thank you for the idea.

Stock LS-7 fuel rails. Might be a wet sump engine, didn't see a dry sump tank anywhere. Just a beautiful car.

That paint looks real close to OEM navy metallic blue. Any idea how I could find the specific blend of colors? I'm nowhere near CA.

I wish I could afford to do something similar to my 2002 SS Camaro. Mine is stock except for a 343 rear and exhaust. I really need some good struts and shocks, put in regular stuff and the ride is better than wore out shocks but not nice.
Any shock is better then the decarbon OEM shocks. Those things are the worst shocks I have ever felt.
Damn that back wheel is tight, don't hit a dip in the road.but really nice camaro done up nicely.

Not a Chevy fan but this car, other than the weird headlights, has great lines. I don’t understand why so many Chevy guys run Mustangs with LS crap instead of these. I know the Foxbody is a light car but this can be done close. HOK Lapis Blue is an amazing color and adding a bit of Pavo Purple gives it a little Burple look that I love. Nice paint job also, looks well done.
