Been good, you know how it is. Lots going on in the world. I can totally understand you having a break from youtube and social media, lots of trolls and idiots out there unfortunately. 🌷🍀
Blue Green Algae for sure. If you continue to have issues with BGA then treat the tank with some API Erythromycin or another companies Erythromycin. Follow the instructions for the first dose, and maybe the 2nd. You don't need to do the full treatment. BGA is very weak to antibiotics. Could even treat it at the same time as a blackout if you want to really go crazy 😄 Edit: make sure you aquarium has good flow during the treatment to push the antibiotics all around the tank and plants. You can also use a syringe and treat the substrate along the glass with hydrogen peroxide (3%) if you have it growing under the substrate on the glass.
Phew! I felt tired just watching the video, can imagine the trouble u had to go through. N e ways it's an experience. As for the name, I suggest,'Jill's Aquatic World'.
Also, the rocks sitting on the wood doesn't work for me. You r creating a replica of nature and u won't find rocks sitting in an organized manner on a wood. I suggest u tie a piece with a biodegradable thread below the wood, which should be unnoticeable.
You've blessed us with another video 🥰 Are you back on patreon as well? And on the algae... my guess is the immense amount of light it gets from just being outside is probably the main culprit. I would just not use the light at all while it's outside. You mentioned using fertilizer and c02, definitely cut back on your ferts and see how that goes. Don't change too much at once. You don't want to shock your system and you want to know what the issue is so just do one or two changes at a time and then give things time to see what happens. Good luck!
I read this comment like 2 days ago and immediately got into action. Moved the tank inside 😎 Idk if you're still on inta but I've posted pics. Huge difference! And viewing my tank is a lot nicer since there's no glare which I never even though about. Thank you for motivating me!! It would of stayed out there for at least 3 more months. Also my dear, I still have a Patreon but haven't become active on it again just yet 😃 I'll make an announcement when I am! Yeeeeee
@Jill's Fish Room I still have insta but I rarely log in anymore. I had to put my betta breeding on hold and I'm still struggling to get my fish shed put together so I can get things going finally. I'll get back on there one of these days lol. I might go check out your new posts though ♡♡♡ I'll sign back up for your patreon at the beginning of next month to start helping you out as well. Your content motivates my lazy 🍑 I need you lol 😘
🌺Your hair got so long Jilly...🙂 so sorry you’re dealing with this stupid algea. If everything fails i guess snails will have to start doing cleanup work lol. Glad your man could saw off that piece of wood. It fits so well. Too bad that the wood floats. Hope it gets heavier soon. Greetz to your kitty. 🙋♀️🌺
Definitely looks like blue-green algae. Strange that it doesn't smell though! I usually avoid algae treatments but I found that "easy-life blue exit" works really well for this type of algae. Might just help you to get it under control. Probably is getting too much light from being outside so moving inside might help 🙂
I hope you feel better soon. As for the algea problem, I would turn off the top light on the tank and if those are roll shades on your roof then lower the one in front of tank. The sun's rays are so strong, even when the light is indirect. I also don't see the algea problem ending any time soon until your water parameters balance out. The drift wood will definitely release a ton of tannins and organics into the water. So..... lol I think the algea is just gonna be a pain for a bit until you get it inside and the tank balances. Lots of work in the future 😆 Name idea...🤔 Jill's Gills?? 😃😆
I cleaned up my tank 2 days ago now and am finally gonna try to do something about this algae 🥳 I think I'm gonna double up with the blackout method as well as use this interesting algaecide a few people have recommended. After all that's done, the next step is definitely either moving it inside permanently or finding something to cover my tank up when I'm not looking at it. Thank you for the tips!! And omg, I think I like your recommended name the best so far 🥰😂 Jill's Gills aaaaaaaaaaa
If you blackout the tank for 72 hours it should hopefully get rid of thr blue green algae, I had it last year, I blacked it out twice and it worked. But also when you blackout the tank you need to cover it so no lights gets in, the plants will be OK in that short period
Hey Aqua Mate 😄 You're the perfect person to help with my algae prob! Love your tanks. After uploading this vid and getting so much advice, I moved the tank inside. It's only been about 12hrs and there's already a massive difference in algae growth ☺ So happy. Thanks for the comment!
Hi Jill 😊 I reckon your channel name is fine - you could call it “Jill’s Funky Fish Room” and have James Brown playing in the background? Git urp, ah, git on urp! Git urp, ah, git on urp! Anyway, our last blue neon has vanished. I wonder if it died and the shrimps ate it. What do you think?
Green spot algae and suspected cyano? Tough luck 😰how long ago did you flood the tank? You mentioned using dry start method. Maybe algae is popping up because the plants are struggling with the transition from terrestrial to aquatic and so the algae can outcompete it easier. I heard liquid co2 was a good Algecide but I’ve never tried it. Also, I still like the name “Social Avocado” sorry for the long comment :)
Youre the first person to possibly identify TWO algae 😩 Please lord don't let this be true lolll. I worked all day yesterday and now I finally have time to do something ab this huge mess. I want to try an algaecide but I have these darn little cute shrimp that I don't want to kill 🥲🥲🥲 Social Avocado nooooo this is my secret identity 🥷🕴 Gave me a giggle. Someone said Jill's Gills, do you like that?! Anywho noo I love your long comments!
Not even close to being done my friend 🥲 but I will be moving it in there eventually. Maybe I'll put it somewhere else inside in the meantime tho no matter how much I don't want to 😔
You need oto's or Siamese algae eaters to take care of algae. But lots of light plus CO2 = algae. Also sino bacteria use erythromycin. Lastly when you flush your toilet which direction does it flow?
The last part of your comment is arguably the most important. And also secret knowledge 🤔 Are you working with the FBI? lol Anywho, just moved my tank inside and there's a huge difference in algae growth already ☺ problem solved! ( not to get too ahead of myself )
Hi Yanji 🙂 I'm sure daphnia loove green water! The only way I'm used to getting rid of algae is not giving it any light for a few days. My most recent journey with algae taught me there's TONS of different kinds of algae and many different ways to kill each. Too much to learn 😩 lol
I have a question for anyone that can help.i have three Cory's they lay eggs l the time.but they ain't being fertilized.i was wondering if the cause may because they are all different species of cory.one is albino one is green and the third is a basic cory.i was wondering if they weren't fertilizing the eggs because they ain't the same type of Cory?
Jill's got fish skillz😜
Nice to see ya back in videos. Like ur style . Keep it up
Omg Allen! Thank you 🌻🐬

Hi Jill, nice to see you uploading again and what you have been up to! ( You may have known me as RJ's Place 😉 ).
Omgggg RJ 😃 So darn good to see you! I took a break from YT for my mental health. You know how it be. I'm doing great now though 🥳
How have you been?!

That looks like a giant size pain in the butt with that algae! Definately need to get it inside Jill :) cheers
The biggest pain in the butt I've ever had to deal with 😵 lolll. Maybe getting it inside will be this weekends project!
Much love from India Karnataka
"Jill's world of fish" could be another RUclips name

What are you using for the substrate? What is that cool plant covering the whole bottom?
I’ve been watching all your videos , so cool and helpful

•Still Jill (maybe a better second channel name)
Waiting for your monster fish tank
Maybe one day 👹
Yeah I was watching this and when I realized the tank is outside.maybe the natural sunlight is what's causing excessive algae in that tank
Oi parabéns pelo vídeo informação top 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👍👍😘👍👍🇧🇷

I hate algea but love it for my green water for my daphnia culture & for algea that won't come off the tank how would one go about it to remove it

Hii Jill.. get well soon
Getting better by the minute :)
@@JillsFishRoom cheers😀
That algae might be cyanobacteria, maybe change your youtube to jill's thoughts or ideas.
Anyways, best of luck.
I think you should keep the name
