Great series! I love old two stroke bikes. I would grab a couple friends, free the wheels up and get this inside a garage and keep going. These bikes are rare and worth the effort of restoring. Or, if you get it out and don’t want to mess with it, someone would definitely buy it!!!
DON'T LEAVE IT IN THE SWAMP! Bring it home and work on it in a protected environment. You're in the middle of being your own worst enemy. Of course, the bike is too far gone to bring back, butt hey, you seem bound and determined to make it run again.
Never wanted somebody else then myself drag threw utter determination to get that 500 kawasaki going in my life then you lad.. Good on ye.. Liverpool 🇬🇧 the 500cc 2strokeAmericanDream
Take it Home , but it backwards, fill it up with ATF/Disel mix from drain hole, fill it to max. Its cool bike for sure, and even cooler story. Keep up the good work!
Good project! Get it out off the woods! If you really want it to run and run well you’ll have to, to be able to finish the tear down and reconstruction
I'm restoring a '74 H1. It's a mostly complete barn find which was sitting in the shed for decades. I give you kudos for whatever you choose to do, but I can tell you it won't be cheap! After powder coating all of the painted parts, having the plated parts stripped and re-chromed including: Wheels, pipes, handlebars, buying new bushings, blinkers, numerous fasteners, having seat restored, battery and electrical parts, I'll have close to $8000.00 in it not including the cost of the bike. The engine on mine was no where as bad as this one. I poured pure Muriatic acid on the engine and let it sit several times to break loose the aluminum oxidation, then used wire brushes on a drill to remove the rest. This one is in terrible condition with not much left to work with. 99% of the parts are shot so they will be hard if not impossible to sell. You may not like it, but I'd run from it.
Drag it up to your shop so it can dry out. Take you a cart out there and haul it back to the shop. Your making it harder on yourself by keeping it out there in the elements
That's too bad, those 2 stroke triples are very rare. Sad it was abandoned like that, lot of money sitting there, collector's are always looking for those. Even a certified mechanic I have to agree, new project time... great channel. Keep up the good work.
Sadly the sound track was so feint I couldn’t hear it. Don’t know if it’s due to viewing on an iPad or not, but I don’t have trouble with other vids. The sound worked on the adds in your vid anyway 😂😂. It came good half way thru the vid , then it cut out again 🤔
@@dietznutz1 with all the scrap metal laying around near the motorcycle he could sell it and buy parts for the bike i do realise it needs alot of parts but the frame and engine could besaved i think it worth a try thats the fun finding all the used parts on ebay and cycle shops etc it deserves some tender care i hope it gets the motor running
I think I would try taking the wheel off, take the break pads/shoes off, and spray the bearings. So you can at least push the bike home. Then you can work on it at home, conveniently.
Can try draining case, replug put gallon of evaporust in her.. give it 3 days drain, that don't work for nothing go to wd40 and give it a few days it eliminate moisture and cut the hell out of the rust. Until you get it completely apart and cleaned out, it probably isn't going to do anything at all. I will follow these vids with curiosity and put in a bit of advice maybe along the way.
I mean not suprising if is stolen because you would have to be doing something very interesting to leave a bike like that’s which is also has a plate from a completely different state that isn’t even close in the woods
If you want to free the engine up find drain plug for oil on bottom of it fill engine up with diesil and let it sit for few days to 2 weeks .then drain it out put some fresh oil in .wirebrush everything on end of bottom engine case pvblaster it for 2 days then try kick over
You gave up 2 easily lol you didn't focus on the bottom end, big chance it was locked up, you should have filled the bottom with thin oil, with a squirt of rust removal, and let that sit, you also could have tried turning it from the crank with a breaker bar,, my thoughts, also you could have got a block of wood and tapped the top of the pistons when you had the head off,ya could of got it turning over at least I reckon
Just get some helpfrom a friend to wheel it up out of there and get it indoors, use a heat gun to heat the barrels, refill the bores with release fluid the barrels and you stand some chance of freeing it off.
It's funny I was already thinking about the area your possibly in at far as bigfoots. The next thing I know I hear that tree go down. They could be watching you my man. That's what they do.
Put a 12 gauge shell up each pipe and fire them off, that might loosen it up, who puts pull-back bars and highway pegs on a 500 triple anyway - must`ve been interesting when it popped a wheelie 😂🙃
As an old bastard, i remember 500s and 750s getting long fork tubes and highway pegs, some even got rigid frames and turned into raked-out choppers. Hard to imagine, huh?
En realidad no vale La pena rescatarla te sugiero quites el guardafango trasero y la luz de stop que son originales y se ve que es lo único bueno que tiene la moto ah y las culatas de los cilindros deben venderse bien después de una buena limpieza
Put a big pipe wrench on that stator and try to rotate the engine the kick starter is made to rotate the engine quickly it is not meant to have very much torque
Let's hope you're Mrs dosnt see you in this vid "you having man fun in the woods" while you could be home doing the Hoovering n some washing up, then all that pay back in kind for you when she gets home from work....

You certainly are a determined young man, little brother! There wasn't much left to work with, but you gave it the old college try!!!💖

OMG!! I'm so glad you went back out there! Bring her home!!
Been loving this series, get some friends to help you take it home and please keep going at it 🙏
That was a heroic effort my friend.

my man if you really want to save that bike it would help getting it out of there and putting it in a workshop 😅

Its cool bike for sure, and even cooler story.
Keep up the good work!
Not even a seasoned mechanic could probably save that one
You had me dying when you said Sam Squanch!🤣🤣🤣
I just started watching but damn boy you just don’t give up.

Hey, you got stator out, good start.

i would like to have it for a project bike for kicks and grinds.
Maybe put a tarp on it if you are coming back for it..does it roll?
Always hope brother, for real, just massive amounts of work and man hours.

If the frame is any good, I’d put a go cart type motor on it. That would be a fun project
Good job brother ❤️
Maybe bring a propane torch, heat the bores. Fill with oil. Try turn it over by hand via the crankshaft
Why don't u try and bring it out of there
YES!!!! Get after it!!!!
You will need and impact driver for the screws, d
when is this motorcycle going to get a full restoration?
You must be joking

If a tree falls in a forest, does it make a sound?...🤣
Get a quad or a trail bike. Tow/ drag that thing out. Get it home; Remove engine and dissassemble
Piece of wood and a hammer to see if those cylinders loosen a bit? Done it before, be gentle but persistent, lube em good along the way.
theres no way. You need to take it home where you have access to all the tools you need and a ton of patience and know how. Also, money.
