Saw him on 9/24/21 in Fort Lauderdale and he was magnificent!! Sounded better than ever! Had backstage passes, too. Meeting him was a 40 year old dream come true. It was the Rage for Order and Empire tour. They did both albums in their entirety. What a fantastic night!!! We had second row tickets, and I left there floating on air!! 💙
I am sure they do, but I hope these young musicians in the band know how lucky they are to be The Greatest Singer of All Time’s band! In the presence of legendary greatness!
I was fortunate to see then in there prime back in the 80's and early 90's will cherish my 80's memories, Geoff Tate still sound just like he did live in the 90's just doesn't move like he did back then. Honestly if I want to hear great Queensryche music I go right to the top dog Geoff Tate.

I saw Queensryche open for Metallica And Justice for all Tour and they ruled the stage!!! Metallica was defeated by Operation Mindcrime and Larse was not happy.

@Amsterdamnster Kush You're both absolutely correct. Why each band continues to tour is silly. They need to ditch the bands and reform as the original because frankly, it's either a bunch of dudes playing QR covers, or it's a band minus the singer, singing QR covers.
I usually cringe at bands I loved back in the day playing live shows now because they have aged and their voices are shot. Geoff has put to bed my angst about hearing older singers play live. The man STILL has it!
What an awesome voice. I was fortunate enough to be working at Le Studio, when this album was recorded, and to see them open for Metallica on this tour at the Forum in Montreal. Very Grateful

Because Geoff was that band. Take him from the equation and it's not Queensryche. Then if they had lost the namesake, they would have been done. They are still touring on their namesake from when Geoff was in the band. I've heard all their new material with Todd, and it all lacks one thing - memorable songs. If you put a gun to my head and said hum a melody or sing a chorus from the Todd Letorre era, or I'll shoot, I'd have a gun hole in my head.

I saw them in 2018, his daughter and her band support Geoff and then then most of the same line-up do the Queensryche stuff for Geoff, saves on crew and makes more money bear in mind they're only playing relatively small venues. I saw them play to a full venue of 300 people in 2018 one of the best gigs i've been to and Geoff was on top of his game!!!

I saw Queensrÿche open for Dio 17/10 1984 here in Copenhagen. I immediately went out and bought Warning. I was 14. Now 51..

at least Geoff hired a decent backing band and is upping his game to compete with Todd La Torre.
The band sounds fine and ditto for backing vocals. The actual sound is not soundboard, so not exactly a fair reference to judge.
Hopefully Geoff has realized the market for him is hard rock like this and not some jazz-soft rock fusion stuff he was into for the last 20 years
