Has that exceptional quality of careening around a corner, tires slipping, gravel flying, just about to lose it and over the cliff but out of sheer will, determination and immense talent, manage to stay on the road. Well done, sirs.
I love Bill's creativity and precision, and snare sound!!! A "Must see performance!" Also his complete works are now available for purchase too, so cool!!! Thank you Bill Bruford for your drumming contribution to the world!!!
I saw this tour in Philadelphia...March 3, 1992..the audience was a bit hyped having just seen Bill on the YES Union tour in 1991. He got this crazy loud audience response at the end of the show...That's Philly for ya....lol.
@@chrisgale5634 Yes, I remember him mentioning it during that show in Philly. Said he was glad he could actually see the people in the back row for a change.
Really appreciated the "liner notes" on this one. As proper musicians, we can often be so critical of our efforts. So thankful you are sharing "warts and all!"
My favorite Earthworks track, I love the Stomping Ground version, a part in the middle of that version is so bizarre. Did my own cover of it a year ago.
Just fucking blazing! This record had such an impact on me when it came out. It felt like it dropped from outer space. So sad I never got to see this lineup play live.
I have listened to bill bruford for 50 years, since Yes, and I have yet to figure out when he will hit the snare.
At the right time ?
@@loupasternak yes, “Bill time.”
ThAts hysterical...dude!!!
Mr bruford... " when in doubt roll" said nothing about snare!

21stCenturySchizoid-D: It sounds as though you should song write for BB. Slip in a few verses and hooks.

Thank you Master: This is a great gift and a sample of how much your talent can make a topic grow. Until today I only knew the 1987´s LP version.

As a Jazz and Prog freak love the music and albums Bill has been involved with . One of the great drummers .
I was fortunate enough to see the Earthworks tour in DC and it was one of my favorite concerts ever. Bill was wearing this shirt then!
I have just fallen off a cliff and am enjoying every abrasion on the way down.
Oh Yes! Interplay! Fine work! Thank you so much! Great sound too.
I will never forget his solo part in the show at Club Quattro in Osaka.
The Bates/Ballamy duo was my favorite. I started playing Eb Peck horn and tenor sax because of them!
🍀🌊🌊Extraodinary brilliant, 🌿one of a kind Drummer.🌿 That's Bill bruford.
Truly wild performance, i love it!!!
Awesome
El gran Bill siempre rodeado de músicos fantásticos.

Bill
Extraordinario y cautivante
Great!👍
4 hands…one keyboard…Brilliant
You should check out "2 girls 1 cup" if you like this, genius scat performance... brilliant.
Just blew my mind.
Yes
Not many people know this but bills earthworks LPs were made entirely of fart noises put in a fairlight. Trevor Horn is a genius
My only comment here besides, "This kicks ass!" is this... WHY do we not see camera shots of Bill when he's kicking ass starting at 4:46 ?!?!?
Finally
Thx B!!
What a risky, lovely snapshot.
my favourite piece from 1987 album!|
Great video.
Brilliant!
0:06:24 Well that's the tuning up all done, when does the music start?
FANTASTICOS¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Pure alchemy!
Mega.
Essences of early Herbie Hancock ie: 1973 Sextant
I know you a retired more or less but Danny Carey from Tool has been my new Bruford so to speak as the best syncopated drummer of our time
Where's me shirt?
Sounds alittle zappa influenced.
