How tall is the Hi ram? Im looking to buy one and install it in my 2014 Jeep SRT 6.4 but im thinking about the clearance with the firewall and hood? What do you think?
@@premiumhousewashes6848 I don't think he had a 6.4 intake on there to be able to tell the difference, plus he isn't NA so his experience would be different from yours. I am in the same boat and he does mention his view on the 6.4 vs Holley about 1-2 min into the video.
Hey man. I’m diggin the build. How much room is there from the top of the intake to the cowl? Do you think you’d be able to fit the 3in intercooler on there? I’m building my truck now and I can’t find any info on that. I would really appreciate it!
The factory intake has variable intake runner length so it has a solenoid to switch the runners. Also you still have the fuel rails and injectors on the factory manifold. Remember races are won or lost in the first 60’ just saying.
He’s a nitrous guy 60 ft is already good but after the kit is off you still need top end especially with a Hemi. I see what your saying though and I would agree if he were racing 1/8 but in a 1/4 he is gaining mph while spraying in the first half concluding to a faster pass. tune gearing and suspension can effect the 60ft as well to help.
how you doing bro, do you know where to find the parts for the holley low ram manifold? I like your idea on using ticks performance water intercooler but I think I wont have the hood clearance. so I need the holley low ram manifold
I agree, that beerkeg manifold design is HIDEOUS. I have hated how they look since the first time I saw one on a Ram or Dakota. Well full disclosure here, I hated the look of the first fuel injection mopar I saw too. And still do. Fuel injections will never have the visual appeal of a dual quad or six-pack. I bet it wouldn't be all that difficult to fabricate up an adapter plate/plenum top for dual quads. Now, I do love the performance of my '16 392 Charger. I do *NOT* enjoy looking under it's hood, nor do I enjoy when other people want to look under the hood. I love looking under the hood of my '68 Barracuda, and it only has a little 318 in there and a 4bbl carb on top of a plain, dead common Edelbrock Performer and plain old cast iron exhaust manifolds into a single exhaust! A modern engine bay looks like plastic and wires. I don't get to see the actual beautiful engineering of the block. Even the oil leaks are part of the visual and so very visceral experience of enjoying the car in it's entirety.
If you plan on eventually going forced air via turbo application or a sort of procharger style supercharger.. definitely worth it. I’ve done a Texas speed stage 4 cam/ (for nitrous) pistons and thitek heads at the same time. So for me to tell you yay or nay, Wouldn’t be right. I will say this. On every other platform. Be ready to get a stall converter. Your lower rev range/ idle typically is rough. Power carries higher and wasn’t dropping at 7200 rpm where I stopped pulling. However around 52-5400 is where I peaked on torque and it started tapering off. Low end torque remained same for me. So all in all. If you plan to keep modding. Sure. Go for it. But if you’re simply just making out a NA motor. I’d personally just port the stock 6.4L. Hope it sorts your direction you plan to go!
🤣dyno sucks compared to my track time accuracy. But definitely a gain my 5.7 ram runs mids 10s in the 1/4 I picked up a few tenths with just swapping it out.
@33ordie my fastest 10.5 125mph pass is with just the torqstorm supercharger and my sbe 5.7 no nitrous on that pass. Probably could pick up a few tenths on nitrous tho.
Can't wait to test this new manifold out at moparty💪🔥👍🔧💯🍻
How is it?
had a question is the 5.7. and the 6.4 oil pan the same im doing a swap. and got this intake also. cant wait to install

Holly has the measurements on site.
@@FrostbiteRam yea i check it out a few days ago its 11.59” tall, im just going to send it
Does the Holley sniper manifold come with all the necessary parts for easy install? Like the spacers for the injectors? And does this require a tune?
The sniper isn't worth it stock manifold would be better honestly.
This video was just in time. I was looking at the 6.4 for my 5.7 ram but thanks to you I have a new plan lol. Thanks brotha
Awesome I love it💯
@@FrostbiteRam ok same here so what added more horsepower I need something fro my 5.7. I was going to get the 6.4 but then started seeing this

Hey what do you recommend for a stock truck 5.7 hemi the 6.4 or this holly .. I am going to add upgrades to my truck such as headers tune ect

Not much I believe about 1.5" or so
I just installed my hi ram on my 07 hemi with eagle heads and man it’s a whole other monster!!!!
Awesome man👍
@@BuildItMotorsport clears alternator fine ac not a problem on 4th gen ram as ac compressor is on the bottom
What do you think about the holley sniper manifold, as that was my plan for my 5.7 challenger
Some has done well with it and others not so much hi ram is the way to go.
Just catching up. I was curious if you have pulled the pistons and added ring gap? See that your running nitrous and boost, so...
No nitrous since I went to boost but running stock sealed 5.7 with 150k currently with just a camshaft swap.
Do all the factory connectors from the stock intake plug in to the hi ram
You will have to change some things over but we are doing a installation video soon on a project storm
Do you think it add up horse power
Definitely midway to upper power gains
I see there are 4 holes in the back of this manifold, I know 1 is for the Map sensor, what about the other 3? Did you plug them?
You can use them for fittings like boost or vacuum ports. If you don't need them then plug them you can also put the iat sensor in one like I did.
@@FrostbiteRam Got it, thanks!

Are you going record when you install°? nice intake ,,,
Going to try but its crunch time for moparty but ill definitely have a run down on the whole deal
How would this intake work on a third gen Ram with procharger?(considering tubing and throttle body is to rear of engine.?
Some adapters and relocating the tb and plumbing shouldn't be that bad.
They have a adapter for it to fit
Nice bro, bought time u got rid of that 5.7 plastic manifold
Lol right 🤣
I wonder if that intake wood fit under my 06 daytona with carbon fiber hood no scoop on it,please record when you install so learn more.

Not sure on the low ram but all the fittings should be pretty much the same
@@FrostbiteRam thx bro
Would love this on my 5th gen because on my cammed 12 I wanted to do the 6.1 Intake because the plastic is ugly, same on my 03 2500 5.7
Yeah I can't stand the plastic stuff🥴
I love my Hi-ram on my 04 Ram

That's for sure
i wonder if that will fit under the hood of my scatpack charger i also wonder if it would be decent on a non cammed NA 6.4?
Will not fit under stock hood. I got a 4” demon cowl hood and had to cut a few inches on the neck/ where tb connects
I have the 6.4 challenger, as well as a Holley hi ram NX plate so sits roughly 1” higher

Hellcat throttlebody upgrade next?
