Tornado in MSFS by IFE | Work in Progress Preview

- Form our livestream on Wednesday 27th of March - we take a first look preview of the Tornado currently in development for MSFS by India Foxt Echo. Whilst this is still work in progress - some changes may be made to the addon prior to release.
The Tornado will be releasing in MSFS for both PC and Xbox. Its includes 3 variants and a number of highly detailed liveries.

Can't wait for this to come out in the sim.
Anyone who’s wondering about release this is from IFE themselves: there’s a 50% chance for release next week, 95% chance the week after and 100% chance any week after that as they will be exhausted 🤣
I can’t wait for this, getting it the second it comes out on Xbox; which hopefully isn’t too long after official release.

Irl, the hook is a gravity drop affair on a torque tube. The lift dump devices usually deploy when the throttles are 'rocked' outboard on the quadrant (they also control the thrust reverse).
Thanks mate - just read up on the hook. I assumed it was for carrier ops - but that would have required a completly new undercarraige
@@twotonemurphy yeah, the hook was just for emergency arrestor cable traps, in case of system failures.
When you fire up the APU, you should see the intake door opening on the right side, just forward of the taileron, this should mean a delay from pressing the start button to getting the APU running to allow this door to motor open....it's all in the detail! Great vids, really enjoy your content.

Those weren’t spoilers they were airbrakes that you had up, the spoilers were the things that you had up because you must’ve had it in some kind of landing mode such as reverse thrust or spoiler dump, you couldn’t have had reverse thrust of the reverse thrust would’ve been out over the engines.
Also what I’ve noticed with several reviews is that will allow you to move and Taxi the wings fully back when Taxying … this is it actually impossible on the true ground attack version of the tornado because it would polo wheel immediately
Appreciate the feedback and insight mate. Its an aircraft I very much like - but know very little about its techinical side. The more I learn, the more I love it

Looks fantastic and it's a must-have for sure. Along with the F-14 this was my favorite fighter jet when I was a kid. I saw (and heard!) them flying low passes in the Netherlands when we spent the summers there on a camping ground. I wish you would do previews without the strong filters plastered over the sim, though. Looked way too contrasty and oversharpened to me, which doesn't provide a good represention of the texture work.
Love your video. Not nit picking but the "spoilers" are the airbrakes and the flaps that were up on top of each wing are the spoilers (They should be in unless selected or with left or right stick input). Also the hook isn't auto retractable. *Ex Tornado Tech

@@twotonemurphy I worked on them between 1999, 2003 (GR1) and 2009-14 (GR4) and loved every second of it.
Air brakes reduce speed, spoilers reduce lift, don't mix them up. Excellent looking plane will be purchasing.

Do you play dcs? Whicj do you preferr? I have dcs on my 4090 system in vr, ive never tried mfs. It does look to have better building and ground quality than dcs
@arronyeates84 I play msfs2020 more, as it open world than DCS is and there's a lot of aircraft to choose from. But I do love DCS for a blast
what is the graphich setting and GPU
It would be nice if IFT could hurry up with the f16 that they are allegedly making. The one from dc designs is a joke.
What's the point of these planes in this game if we can't use them for what they're made for?
Think the majority of military flying hours is peacetime non combat flying to be honest.
