Ran this turbo over the weekend, towing about 5,000 lbs from Memphis, Tennessee back to Kentucky. Absolutely loved it on my tow tune. On my street tune with stock injectors it’s a nice upgrade over stock turbo as well. Highly recommend anything from KC Turbos.
190/30? If so, you will want to watch EGT’s and keep your RPM’s up. With the charger being stage 2, its not ideal as a towing turbo but top end is great from this charger and pairs well with your injector choice.
@@thoroughbreddiesel When you say keep your RPM's up, what range are you talking about? With my 4:10 gearing and ZF6 I need to run almost 2100 rpm to do 65mph and obviously it goes up from there. Very curious about this. I'm wrestling with which way to go in building my truck's 6.0.
Depends on how heavy you tow. But to keep boost up to keep egt’s down, assuming you tow “heavy,” on hills you’d need to keep it at like 60-75% of your max rpm probably. So redline is what? 4000? So probably 2400-3300 I would guess. And I’d assume around 3000 to keep the turbo spooled enough to be happy. But stock nozzle sizes are better for towing in general. The bigger the nozzle size, the higher the rpm it benefits you.
I got over 20mpg when I installed this turbo. 2007 F-350 Crew Cab long bed SRW. Stock injectors.

Hi will you need a tune with this turbo ?
And is it noticeable power increase?
Is the any noticable difference between the 10 and 13 blade besides sound. Thank you!
From our experience, its just a sound difference.
@@thoroughbreddiesel thank you!
How much increase in h.p. over stock 06 ,in perfect stock condition
Depends on your setup, will support up to around 500 HP.
Can you install one on a calif rig
These turbos do not have EO numbers and are not legal for sale in California.
how well would a stage 2 with 190cc be able to tow
