This movie was actually really good for a horror movie. Usually scary movies are just scary and they don't have a plot and it doesn't really make sense but this movie actually did and I really liked it.
The ending just made me sad

What makes it even more scary is that its completely possible that this could be true.
Yeah I had the same thought after watching it, it's more like a psychological horror , instead of delivering cheap scare jumps it was full of mystery and unknown and at one point it made me question reality "what if...?"
I really felt for the dad in this movie. His frustration to not have the control to keep his family safe was felt through the actors acting. Excellent film
This movie gave me PTSD. I'd rate it with a solid 8.5.

I watched this film like an hour ago, and I thought I shouldnt rush to make a comment and I let my self settle down and I have to say that this film is the most perfect horror film I have ever seen in my life and it is truly the scariest as no other horror managed to freak me out like that.
No scary faces, no shocking moments, no weird monsters and definitely no ghosts like you see in typical 21st century movies.
Im going to write a letter to mr Scott Stewart the writer and directer of this movie and let him know how much I appreciate his master peace!

Why not? I think aliens are only selecting a few humans to have them move into another planet cause they'll probably know this earth will eventually see the catastrophic damage we have caused kinda like adam and eve

Realistic family dynamics and natural dialogue. Not too many jumpscares, mostly tension and atmospheric horror. Wish there was more but the ending definitely got me
can't stand jump scares, they're like diarrhea - tiresome and unsatisfying. Will take thriller and suspense over jump scares any day.

When me, my brother, and my mother read the description before watching the movie we thought is wasn’t gonna be that scary, because when we think of aliens we think of little weird green people that fly around, especially since we watch Alien TV(that show is hilarious, for us al least), boy were we wrong... this movie was on a whole nother freaking level of scary... I left home traumatized and satisfied at the same time.
I became paranoid because of this film.

This movie is definitely going to have a part 2 based on the ending. It wasn't scary to me but it was quite unusual which made it good and the acting was great.

Great SF movie about aliens visiting this Earth and the evil things they often do. All those lost kids made my heart cry.
I'm surprised what people are saying about this movie. I LOVED IT. I just finished watching it. It was creepy and the ending was interesting. I'm only 14 but I have watched many horror films. I've never had one that made my heart pump as fast as this one. I don't know what it was. I suggest you try it for yourself. I think it can go either way. You either love it or hate it.

Don't watch the trailer if you want to see the film! Trailer literally sums up the entire film. This film has good suspense, intriguing storyline and good plot twists. That is only if you skip this trailer.
Just watched this movie again today for the 3rd time since it came out and i have to say i still really enjoyed it. Intense and the weird feeling it gives u inside is what makes it frighteneing and unsettling with a sad ending. Such an underated movie imo. Not many movies do this with out all the jump scares. A must watch esp' for all horror and science fiction lovers.

This was a really good movie. And I've known about the Greys for a while, so when they talked about them and such, I became more fascinated by them. The ending was definitely a twist for me, and it left you with a good cliffhanger!!

Good film. The production is really good and the mood is set very well. The film is effective without trying to give reason for what's going on. It happens, its experienced, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Definitely worth seeing, especially for fans of movies with aliens.

Definitely worth the watch!!! Has twists you wouldn't think of. Never watch the whole trailer, shows the whole movie - watch half and it looks good, probably is. This one was a win!

I just watched this movie. I really liked this movie, I didn't expect to be all that good or good at all. But I was really surprised how good it was. The ending was such a cliff hanger. I hope they do a sequel, but then again I don't want them to mess up the series. Idk, but an awesome movie for sure!

Steven Spielberg was supposed to make a movie similar to this back in the late 70s, early 80s. It sort of made it into production but never came into fruition. It was called Night Skies and it was supposed to a semi-sequel to Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. From the bits and pieces I've read it was based on a real life incident that happened in mid 1950s Kentucky about a family terrorized by extraterrestrial goblin-like creatures with glowing eyes. If this movie was made in the 70s it would've been awesome and probably an epic cult classic.

I watched this when I was 7 in like 2014, this scared the hell out of me and I'm still afraid of the dark because of this movie. I don't know why, even though it isn't scary anymore.
The song enter sandman has a few lines that fits perfectly with this "i tuck you in walk within keep you free from sin til the sandman he comes, sleep with one eye open, gripping your pillow tight, exit light, enter night, take my hand, we're off to never never land."

Saw this yesterday, highly recommend it, it genuinely has you on the edge of your seat like a real scary movie should, not like all these slasher gore films which are sometimes entertaining but most of the time I just wanna boke when I see them. Dark Skies is a good thriller!
