The eps has been my cure for my OCD with the pistol red dots.... Its easier to clean the glass since its near verticle and it never needs the emitter lens cleaned off or the lint cleaned from the inside area. For me it was worth the extra money.

Thank you for the explanation sir. I was a firearm instructor for the feds for years but we didn't have sights like this. You young guys have to explain this stuff to us "olds" :)
Thank you, my son and i have recently started building up and collecting our arsenal. Waited till he was an age id know he be able to respect the lethality of firearms. This question came up since we built matching PSA daggers with rmr cuts and couldn’t understand the difference
It’s worth it to get the enclosed one.. not even because of the emitter itself..but cleaning the glass deep inside is a pain in the ass. It’s always covered in dust and fuzz every single day you go pick up your firearm. I rarely use mine because it’s just too unreliable in that sense. I just bought an enclosed one, tho it’s double enclosed because it’s the holosun aems (not the core model) and it’s mantainence free, don’t have to ever wipe dust off
I had a 507K. I'm replacing it with this one. Dust getting in the 507K has driven me crazy since I started using it. It's never blocked anything and it's still usable, but dust getting on the emitter makes the image fuzzy and less clear And I have been very OCD about it.
I could give a hoot if my red dot is enclosed or not! The chit works all the flipping time 8 years and going with active 2 days of 5-7 hours of targeted acquisitions slightly drizzling/rain. Like I said I could give a hoot 🦉! 😂😂
I just can’t get with that 1.5MOA adjustment - yuck. I feel like Holosun deliberately made the EPS like that to have some sort of differentiation with the 4/507’s (other than closed vs open emitter) and not have either eat into each other’s market share.
These days you can get closed emitter for not that much more money. I have the Holosun EPS Carry on my website for only about $30 more than a 507k. So with that little difference I’d for sure say it’s worth it
@@LoadedClips oh I know they aren’t bad. Cleaning my micro is a pain in the ass though. I’ve got big hands and fingers. If there was an accessory to toss on to close things so to speak it would be awesome
Cyelee is the way to go I own holosuns that are 350$ ade at 70$ and cyelee at 150$ the fact that they all do the same hold zero and have good durability shows that I shouldn’t be spending 350$ it’s like Gucci your paying for the name
Not worth the $450 msrp they charge for it! Its the same tech in the $220 407k. Train with your Iron sight as well! No red dot will every be 100% and basically paying 500 bucks for an extra glass in stupid!
Well yes they’re both red dots so they all use the same technology. Training should always be the primary objective over accessories. Your prices are a bit high though they don’t sell for that much
@@AI-xe5jr I am a dealer, we sell them online. You’re 100% going to pay higher prices in local shops so if you’re looking for a deal I would not go there
Clearly defined short n sweet. Well done, can't stand how some cats take 12 minutes to explain very simple things 😂.
Glad you liked it!
It’s always that magic 10-12 minute number too smh

I dident even think about the easyier cleaning great point
I wouldn't let that be the only deciding factor, but it's a good point. I like the 507k just as much as any closed emitter sight I've used.
Genuinely learned something from this video, I’ve been curious about the difference for a while.
Glad it was helpful!
Very well explained. Kept it short, simple and to the point. 👌

By far the best explanation I have come across. Thanks
Thanks for watching!

Great job on the explanation! I now a video to point people to instead of explaining the difference 100 times a day

Oh cool
is there a battery tray and do you have to remove the sight to replace it?
They have side loading battery trays, so no need to remove the optic to change batteries.

I just ordered the eps carry mrs 😮
Great choice!
Ill never understand why they designed the open emitter with the bigger battery.......🤦🏾♂️ that annoyed me.
has anyone had issues with the open emitter sights? i’m in construction, so there is some dust, just want to know if it’s worth twice the amount ?

Thanks! 👍
Which one would you choose?
I personally run the EPS Carry

Is the EPS prone to more glare since there’s multiple windows?
Nope. I actually don’t notice any glare at all on mine.
Any solution for those of us that already have open emitters?
I wouldn’t say you need a solution. The open emitters aren’t “bad” they are still great options so if you have one it’s no problem!

You’re right to ask extent. It all depends on your purpose!
Would prefer the eps carry but I'm a broke college kid and it's twice the cost of the 407k 😂
Lol I wouldn’t say twice the cost, but it’s definitely hard to beat the price on the 407k!
@@LoadedClips No it's more than twice actually. the 2MOA EPS is $429.99 before tax and the cheapest 407k I could find was $224.99.
@@AI-xe5jr that’s not the case….I literally sell them lol. They are not priced anywhere near that expensive.
The difference is $200
The EPS Carry is slightly more expensive yes, however nowhere near $200. I have them available now for only about $30 more on average.
lol what.... the EPS is 320... regularly on sale for 305-310. the 507k is 275 on sale... get the EPS
