I live in a country where there is a state or a city which doesn't see itself as part of the whole of the country, and everything in that country works pretty much perfectly.
I used to live in Wellington, Fla. For decades, the area was considered a special tax district essentially controlled by the original developers. The original developers had a vested interest in protecting the quality of life to keep home prices and land values up. They created an equestrian community, complete with stables and world-class horse shows. They created an aero community, where residents store their planes in oversized garages. The Palm Beach Polo Club is located in Wellington, not Palm Beach. At that time, Wellington was one of the best-run communities in the state. Low taxes, excellent services. Some time ago, Wellington residents were conned into voting to incorporate as a city with a city council. Since then, the quality of life has gone to heck. The approved a big mall in the name of increasing the tax base. The mall attracted more crimes than it was worth. Now it's one of numerous zombie malls in the area. The council approves development after development to increase the tax base. But each development costs more to service than it brings in in taxes. So, they approve more developments, including chipping at the equestrian community. Now, Wellington just looks like any over-built suburb of Newark, N.J.
I love this idea of creating your own cities and stuff, i understand this can be a dangerous idea too when those cities are not properly managed as well, but creating private cities and so will help to solve many societal problems eg marginalition, discrimination and alien laws that a people might not be familiar with, this is a business model that will drive large portion of investment globally, as a passionate social entrepreneur from africa, i really think this is a good idea that will foster social development in a giving area, i have always been passionate about becoming a community development analyst and consultant, this is really a game changer, states and local authorities should adopt this model of governance, this can save Africa and the world from this delusional process called democracy.

Sov-cits and other nutters think that because there's golden tassle fringes on some of the flags they can get out of whatever law they're in court for. Nor is it a for-profit company. If it was for profit, it'd be the worst company at turning a profit due to the trillions in debt it has.
Doesn't that may lead to a chaos in the future? You have a lot of private cities, either virtual or physical. Maybe, you will find the company of this city will make a new language ( for example). A barriers to get into it. There own ideas of living without worshipping or thinking about safe solutions. I don't know. This kind of idea makes me scared 😅😅😅

Are we ready to take responsibility for ourselves and the whole, or do we want to delegate our responsibility and then blame others? What was formerly unconscious now becomes clearer, and people can reflect and choose.
@@infiniteone11 I think there needs to be a healthy mix of both delegation of responsibility and ownership of responsibility. The functions of a government today, even at the city level, is too complex for it to function and expect the residents to have families and/or jobs without appointing people to be in charge on our behalf. We need to be involved in how our government operates, and hold those we choose to elect accountable when they no longer reflect the will of their constituents.
Neoliberal ideas aren't new, but this is the most horrible one of all. Private cities, freeports, SEZs are unregulated, and what it means for customers (not citizens) without money, they will eventually become slaves.

Yeah private companies are the cause of pretty much all of our issues. Even the bad decisions government makes are because companies pressure them to.
