Hey hands-down, this Eloy dude he plays on top of the whole band. He is like directing the band Cory and everybody his drums are so precise. He’s so powerful. He is the power of the band. The other guy really should step up and that’s hard to say for a band is pro and flawless has slipknot, he he makes slipknot better than they’ve ever been
I saw a interview with Jim he says Eloy makes him approach guitar different and he wants too scrap everything they wrote and start fresh with eloy

Eloy is one of my fav drummers atm, used to be that Mike Portnoy was up there too but I think Matt Garstka has to take one of the top spots for me now.

ya know, i used to ask myself that question when watching drummers do covers. Is he/she better than the original drummer? but then the one thing that always made me say no is.....The person doing the cover didnt write the piece. but had tons of time to study it and perfect it whereas the original drummer did all the initial footwork, and that shouldnt be forgotten. just my thought on it Colby. regardless, Eloy is a PHENOMENAL drummer to say the least and definitely is getting what he deserves joining the ranks of Slipknot! So happy for him! Great vid Colby, as ALWAYS!
Gonna suggest something that's more unusual. A Japanese band using a percussion riff for a song that sounds like it was made for a marching band. "The GazettE - Inside Beast (live)"
And thats why slipknot recruited him.
You asked who is better? Honestly I don't know but one created most of the songs and played them sometimes recording in one session, the other has obviously practiced it enough to play it very fluidly and thorough so me even though Eloy is good possibly even great, the Rev will always be the best drummer and musician of his time. His creativity and ability to script most of a7x early music shows how great Jimmy truly was. He was never just a drummer, but his drumming can be argued to be the best of his era and who knows where he would of been or the music he would have produced if he was still around to this day.

It’s either Eloy, the drummer for Lorna or the Cattle Decapitation drummer. But Eloy went to Slipknot in a very uncool way… leaving Sepultura without warning, during their farewell tour just rubs me the wrong way… plus I haven’t been into Slipknot since Bol. 3 cuz they’re just not the same band anymore.

Was my all time favorite drummer of all time. Neil was second. But JOS was, I can't describe exactly what I want to say. If you're a musician, then you know what I'm saying. Outstanding drummer.
