I'm blown away with how generous the people have been so far. It makes such a difference from having a good holiday to having a wonderful memorable one. The landscape you are traveling through is so uniquely Chinese, I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. What a view from that upgrade, this is why it's the people you meet that have the biggest impact on your stay. ❤️👌🇿🇦
The kindness of the people is a key factor that makes the trip stand out. No matter how beautiful the scenery is, it is the hospitality and friendliness of the locals that leave a lasting impression.
It's so amazing! I watched your video about your trip to Guizhou a few days ago. Now you've arrived in Hechi ,my hometown, you hotel is right across the river from my house, and you having meals downstairs. It's a pity I didn't get to meet you. People in Hechi are known for their hospitality and always offer help to others, not just because you are foreigners. You are so strong and I admire you for going to such remote villages. The place you are in is called the Ten Thousand Mountains, which used to be a very poor area but has beautiful scenery. If you come in June to October, you'll see pure green everywhere. Your videos are wonderful. I hope you are well and have a pleasant journey. Love from Guangxi.

There is a park called Chenglong Lake Park. The water and the sky are of one hue.
It looks like taking the road not so often travelled by tourists pays off big time. The people are so playful and friendly, they are not used to seeing foreigners in their small villages lol. Amazing.❤😂

Welcome to China, we welcome polite people. Even if the mountain you go to is very remote and there are few people, there are still the best roads and electricity along the way. The pavilion on the top is also in a state of maintenance. In China , even if there is only one family in the village, the government will still connect the electricity to this family specifically.

Great video, it reminded me of my first trip to China in 2002. My now wife ran a travel agency in Nanning Guangxi, and we spent four weeks traveling together. She was the only lady I wrote to in China, because I was afraid to travel there, and I could not have been more wrong! Enjoy the rest of your trip.

You are indeed great, and the scenic spots you hit by mistake are indeed beautiful. You go to places that Chinese people usually cannot go to. I hope that one day my wife and I can explore places like this.
I must say I really really enjoyed this episode of your China trip! It felt so immersive that watching it was like experiencing a movie, and the hour just flew by in the blink of an eye. I appreciate how deeply you guys dive into Guangxi with curiosity especially since it’s where I’m from lol which is really to my surprise! And I have never been to Hechi myself lol. It just feels so incredible to see my hometown being so appreciated through your visit, and I’m so glad you guys had a great time connecting with the locals. Your perseverance through the challenges of hiking, enduring physical pain, and embracing the stress and disappointments no matter what (plus powered by your life principles) all made this episode so fun to watch! I also admire how confident you guys are in expressing yourself, your values and principles through the lens. That authenticity is something I’m still working on myself, so it’s truly inspiring to watch. ❤ Keep up the amazing work! I’m so looking forward to the next episode in Bama. 😊 Watching from New Zealand.
Back 10 years ago when I visited Guilin/Yangshuo, there were tons of foreign tourists. Among them is a tall girl with a huge backpack(like a mountain on her back!) travelling alone that impressed me the most. Glad to see the foreigners are coming back and experience China with their own eyes.
This is China. Whether you like it or hate it, it has existed like this for five thousand years and will continue to exist like this for the next five thousand years. The secret to the continuation of this civilization is: kindness. I will also go to your civilization and experience different cultures. But please let us all, as human beings on Earth, enjoy nature at this moment.
Yes, it gave me a false sense of ease in traveling alone having a native speaker with me! I loved the variety of transportation options at the time, motorcycle taxis, peddle trikes, buses, trains, side car taxis, tuk tuk trikes exc.
If you’re worried about not having a seat, you can first buy a ticket for a few stops with a reserved seat. Then, you can purchase additional tickets for the rest of the journey later. Just explain the situation to the train staff-they will help you. Once you’re on the train, everything will be much easier to handle.

If you are hiking in China, installing the local versions of Gaode Map or Baidu Map on your phone is recommended. Both companies update their map data quickly in mainland China, allowing you to plan your route more effectively.
Spanish people are very kind too. I have been there many times but I don't feel the same while I went to other Europe countries. they have very little discrimination against Asians. at least this is my experience. in 2002 I went to a small white house village in Andalusia and people were very kind to show me to ways.
Do you think the man could tell you were stressed and just was generous...as a American Im suspicious of peoples motives...but this man was just generous!!!so nice to see
As a Chinese person, I feel it’s necessary to point out a significant cultural difference. In China, you should not avoid filming those who help you, and you certainly shouldn’t edit their faces out of the video. The simple belief among Chinese people is that someone who does good deeds deserves to be praised, and someone who does bad deeds deserves to be held accountable. Therefore, when you intentionally avoid filming those who do good deeds, it implies that you don’t want kind-hearted individuals to receive public recognition, which goes against Chinese cultural values. Lastly, I want to say that your video is fantastic! Thank you.
Normally, it is much cheaper to book hotel accommodation on-line than on-spot counter booking. Maybe China is exceptional out in the rural towns and villages.

Another amazing and heart filling vlog. It is so inspiring that you found all these friendly, warm folks.
your travel vlog is so different, in a good way.
