Have been in extreme pain for 3 weeks. Struggling to carry groceries, waking up in pain. Reaching high up for objects hurt. Was following an exercise program but nothing seemed to work. Followed all of this advice and literally after one night of sleep, I am feeling 50% better! Thanks guys!

    • @ReelEC

@Piyush The body is weird. What I have noticed is that sometimes it responds to exercises temporarily but depending upon the severity of the injury it gets use to the exercise and the pain shows its ugly face again. I suspect I have a spinal accessory nerve palsy of sorts. Right trapezius atrophied, impinged right shoulder, swollen right scm. Getting an mri on my neck today actually. Thinking I might have a pinched nerve in my neck, a neuroma, etc. My shoulder mobility has returned, and I have about 80% of my strength in my right arm back. All the pain is localized in my right scm now. I also stretch out my chest regularly by performing doorway stretches. I am also seeing a personal trainer now two days a week to work on all my muscle imbalances.

I was "diagnosed" with bursitis in my shoulder when I was 22. The dr performed what I lightly term as the Vulcan Death Grip( He actually poked his finger directly into my shoulder joint and held it there) as I am sure I went into shock while my head simultaneously fell off, rolled across the floor, and left a trail of tears to follow for future retrieval. I find watching your videos gentler upon my constitution ;)

oh my god.. I have been in PT for cervical nerve damage, and a right shoulder bursitis/tendonitis impingement, and your last exercise with using a pole gave me more rotation in my shoulder than I have had in a year. My right arm has been like a chicken wing super tight to my body. How is it, that with the pole I'm able to move my arm? without using the pole I can't move my arm to that length... however, I'm grateful. My PT never showed me this, all of her movements caused serious pain :( thank you for this... it's a godsend. I'm a programmer, and can't type for more than 45 minutes, where I used to go for hours... thank you.

I had bursitis as well as an encapsulated shoulder on my right shoulder. My coracoid bone was curled into my joint. The surgeon removed my bursa sac, shaved down the coracoid bone, cleaned up the scar tissue, and removed arthritis build-up. That was a little over a year ago. Then my foot had been unbearably painful, had a lapiplasty surgery two months ago. Surgeon said my arthritis was horrible, cleaned it up, took out the cyst that was growing in my joint. Just as I am currently recovering, my left shoulder was bothering me a little before the foot surgery. Now it's extremely painful. It's not encapsulated, but I fear it may head that way. I can tell it's bursitis. Laying on my shoulder is painful, putting on my shirts and coat are painful. I'm tired of all of these joint issues. I know I'm rambling, but I HOPE this physical therapy helps! If I can avoid another surgery, I'll be extremely thankful!!! Fingers crossed 🤞

Biofreeze was my best friend when first one then the other shoulder went through a bout of seriously painful bursitis. Pain so bad when it would impinge, I'd about pee my pants.
I learned to sleep on my back after that. And that putting pillows longways behind me, sleeping at a 30°-45° angle, allowed my shoulders to roll back and rest in a more natural, pain free position. The "elephant" arm swing and scapula stretches helped too. And wall finger crawls.

Nice video! I work on my shoulders in a similar way to pole exercise, but just by pushing down on a high backed chair. An important thing that I think you missed (was key for me in healing): You need to not let your shoulders come forward (out of position) when you do this exercise! I was doing that at first and it made things worse. Only go as far back as you can before shoulders come forward.

While walking my dogs, very large dogs, a cat run across right to left in front of us. So, buck took off after the cat pulling my right arm across my chest fast and hard. The next day I woke up in severe pain. I went to a walk in clinic and they took some X-rays. The said I needed to see a ortho doctor and made me an appointment. The orthopedic doctor looked at the X-rays and said I have calcific tendonitis and there was nothing he can do. He gave me a cortisone inject along with a pain reliever. He prescribed a couple meds of pain reliever & muscle relaxer! It’s been nine days since the event and I still can not raise my humerus without severe pain! My hand and bicep works fine. What can I do. I’ve been trying the exercises you are showing without and success. Just added pain. It's hard to find a combination of sheer intelligence and a sense of humor these days, Dr. Bob and Dr. Brad; you are awesome; you cracked me up when I was in pain.

I had a horrible tear in my shoulder one of the worst the surgeon seen ended up having 2 surgeries a year apart. My shoulder no longer pops out of joint so that's awesome but the pain I get after a tough day at work is unreal It just throbs all night long and this is 8 years later. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work.

My doctor reccommended therapy exercises do not seem to help so far. I had ulnar nerve surgery: carpal and cubical entrapment. My test results after surgery showed great improvement, yet after recovery, I still had elbow pain in the same place. I noticed that it was triggered by my arm raising. Swinging small circle up and forward causes a pop, and my elbow hurts shortly afterward. My doctor called it bursitis and that it usually affects a different part of the elbow. I am hoping that your therapies work.

This is great! I just recently started having trouble with my shoulders. I’m fifty nine and used to be a gymnast. I’m babysitting my grand son and I’m holding him quite a bit. My arms feel like they are just going to drop off my body. Doing these should really help. Thank you so much!!

Thank you! Everything you described is my right shoulder exactly. It is fine all day, then I sleep on it at night and can hardly move my arm in the morning. In an hour or so, it loosens up and feels fine. Tonight, I will be using the pillow under my "trunk" to relieve the pressure on my shoulder.

A week ago I was talking to my wife telling her that I know in August I will be turning 56 but ,I don't feel much past my mid 20's . The next day one of my knees starting hurting( right in the center of my knee) then after some creams and rest it started to feel some bit better to only get up and have the other knee to start hurting and it hasn't let up much yet ! Now ,I have been a bit heavy but have been dieting and losing weight got mor energy but can't use it due to the knees .
