Just watched Chapter 1 on Prime Video and can say it was a stunning film. What else would you expect from Kevin Costner? It was wonderful. I look forward to Chapter 2 and subsequent films.
The Word of God is full of violence as it tells true accounts of humankind, illuminating our nature, our inner conflicts, and our need for Christ. Costner is an artist, telling his stories with elements of truth, accuracy, for the purpose of appropriate reflection on a tumultuous time in our country’s history. Hopefully, viewing it results in us reflecting on the failures and triumphs of the past so that we are better in handling this country’s problems today. Sam agreed the characters’ faith was essential under the circumstances of their time. I would add faith in God is relevant to all our stories, often with more impact when there has been suffering and violence. God never wastes our suffering.
I doubt people even know this movie exists. Terrible marketing for such a beautiful film. Surprisingly, the critics criticised the pacing because 2 hours into it felt like half an hour, it really captivates you and immerses you into the story. You have to go into the movie knowing there are 3 more instalments, chapter 1 is just an introduction to characters. This is not a crappy 90 minute flick. You gotta really let yourself go and let the story take you on themsame journey as the characters.
I can’t believe you are even interviewing this movie. When they use Gods name in vain about 20 times and such violence! Check unplugged movie reviews…:(
David thank you sir; finally someone got I right. Our Lord's name was used in vain so many times I was getting ready to walk out of the theatre, will not watch another episode again. It's very disappointing, the tragedy being that it could be a great movie without the "foul language." And on top of that, they're calling it a movie of FAITH!!!!? Regards, Denis Berte' USMC
Honestly the movie was pretty boring, great production value but other than that it wasn’t better than a show in terms of quality. Very fragmented and vague concurrent plot lines. The last scene is a few minutes of this random collage of clips put together like a trailer suggesting a million unrelated and uninteresting plot twist concepts to come. Also, this movie includes glorified adultery and fornication integrated into two different character arcs… definitely not a Christian film but not bad. It was okay at best, I certainly wouldn’t ever buy it. Sound of hope was REALLY good, I highly recommend that one. It’s Christ-centered, wholesome, and based on a true story.
Obviously a lot of work went into this movie, some great scenes but you talk about people of faith surviving in this harsh environment and yet throughout you have the Lord's name continually being used in vain and in a foul manner, very disappointing. I'm sorry but I doubt I will continue watching the rest of the series. Regards, Denis Berte' USMC
I love watching Sam Worthington! He seems so down to earth & she’s right, HE IS EASY ON THE EYES!!!

What a thoughtful interview - delightful. I’m not sure I want to see such a violent movie, but I like this conversation.
Don't see rated R films with violence people of God. Stay with Christ ❤ God bless these actors and pray for their salvation.

Are these two Christians???
I don't think so. 😳
Yes. Sam is Christian. I don’t know if Sienna is.
Bible has incredible scientific accuracy like round Earth and jet streams and the hydrologic cycle and much more!
Disappointed. They dont talk about their own faith. Quit worshipping Kevin Costner!
Strange long movie 😢 seemed so disjointed to us
CBN is fake news and not Christian. Move on true followers of Christ!!!
