Love it! Every single video you post is really clear and educational. Thanks!
The Vajracharya, Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche was my Root Guru. He was the most brilliant man I have ever known. What his sexual preferences were, I was never concerned about; I had my own heterosexual married relationship going on. He took me out of a very dark perspective and I am eternally grateful to him for that. I am still a hermit yogi living a life of no deliberate harm in this world due to his teachings. May his Vajradhatu continue forever for the benefit of all sentient life forms.
I second everything you are saying. He was an extraordinarily brilliant Guru. He saved my life. I too am eternally grateful.
Thank you. We need to expose this common phenomena in the Tibetan tradition as much as possible. His abusive legacy lives on. He, his son and so many teachers have hurt so many people. No matter the wisdom he spoke he was a dark and manipulative person.
A wise man once said: shush 🤫
They can count on mindless drones who worship authority.

I don t know who made this video but I know that Chogiam Trungpa was one of the greatest masters who ever walked on this planet.
Not a religion in the world that hasnt sex abuse etc. Be your own guru. Its all a con.
yes agreed to some extent. But for those interested in Tantric practices like Tibetan Buddhism and various hindu traditions one cannot be their own guru.
to learn tantra is a very complex process and will leave any new practitioner without guidance ...nowhere.
I had expressed an interest in the Shambhala Institute in the early 2000’s. I had considered beginning the stages of the Path of the Warrior, but I did not commit to it.
A couple years later the center had finished building a new center. Not too long after its completion a well renowned translator came to speak at the new center and I decided to attend. The energy the speaker gave off was anxiety ridden and uncomfortable for everyone. It was really strange. I have never felt such anxiety from a speaker like that and have not since.
But the one thing I will never forget was that at one point a framed image of Mahakala to the speaker’s right fell from the wall. It didn’t just fall though. It was as if it leaped from the wall! There were some in the audience who were vocal in their reaction. It was extremely shocking and disturbing!!
I had no knowledge of any of these darker aspects concerning the organization at the time, but there was a sense that something was a bit off.
I don’t mean to sound critical at all. There is certainly good that is a result of people being a part of this organization!
Chögyam Trungpa was one of the most brilliant masters ever… but not all people have merits to understand…. Deeply sorry for that 🙏🙏🙏🪷
Did he live an ethical life?

Very educative. I love his videos. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to you.
yes! this is so important. offshoot western teachers are still active and actively hurting people. thank you for this video 🙏🏼
Some teach by being great examples others teach by being fabulous warnings. It is the TEACHING!!! not the TEACHER , not the TAUGHT that we must not lose sight of!
You show a picture of Tenzin Palmo when talking about Pema Chodrun. This kind of inattention does not inspire confidence in your ability to speak on these matters.
You also got the author of books wrong. Very inaccurate video.
.... people were forced into practice (like Ngondro) in a Democratic country by a refugee sounds histerical. 😂
The background music is very distracting.
Thank you for letting us know, we will make sure that the next video has a lower music volume and it's not distracting 🙏
How much has this trickled down into the individual meditation centers? I'm curious as to how this has affected things on the local community level. I haven't been to the Shambhala center in our city yet - but I wonder how all these allegations, the alleged abuses and scandals, has affected the local leaders, their members and guests, and the overall purity of Buddhist teachings. This is one of the many reasons why I've been extremely apprehensive about aligning myself with any one lineage - dogmatic practices, abusive leadership, and the uncertainty of what I'm getting myself into. This of course means going at it alone and relying on my own "inner Guru" to guide my choices and my path - a very trying path at times because of the isolation. It feels hermetic at times.
The sexual abuse is continuing! Pema Chodron’s successor was just charged with putting cameras in Gampo Abbey. The Drala Mountain Center in Colorado continues to have sexual assaults, law suits and problems
@@Bear53533 Oh my! I guess this is to be expected if those in leadership isolate themselves from the very standards and teachings of the Buddha, as if they were exempt. That’s sad to hear. May they attain a swift awakening to the suffering they’re causing.
Maybe, the inner path is possible only for a individual mind. The groups, societies, temples, are humans institutions
We need to understand that Budha Become a enlightening being in solo manet. After try various types of yoga and ways he could understand the insanity and delusional mind behind "gurus" of India teachers. The individual way is also possible and we could learn about scriptures
@paulo TARSO YES!!!!!
I have found some of his writings and lectures to be really straightforward and insightful. I think that this aspect of his life was very positive in its effect but within his social orbit it is evident that he abused his power. if the argument would be made that somehow it is naive to expect anyone to somehow transcend their humanity, and that this expectation is antithetical to the philosophy he espoused. ..I would counter that religious organizations/communities are dangerous when they cultivate a society independent of the legal environment of the country that hosts them. It becomes a lawless environment. Without legal consequences for destructive behavior, you will likely have problems that a certain elevated mindset will not prevent.
IT'S telling when the student/beginners mind cherishes, longs for, the Buddha Dharma teachings, practise much more than the big shot tulku lamas.
It's rrslly just a business for the Tibetans.
OTD is proof of what would happen if the prediction letter was faked. The bad karmapa? crumbled to samsara worse than most beggiber practioner. OTD is not fooling me.
Om Ah Hung
Sakyong Mipham, turning alcohol and rape into an ally at the expense of silly students!
Thank you 🙏🏾 Even though men have tainted some institutions, truth and the light of the teachings live on because of people like you. I hope one day the Sangha everywhere is healed and mutual respect is common place.
Very informative thank you ...🤩
Is this AI reading, putting together? In any case, he was a great Teacher, beyond fear. Today in this degenerated hypocritical superficial world, its not understood.
I appreciate your comment. The narrator has a Russian accent. It could also be an accent from some other Slavic languages from Eastern Europe, but I think it is Russian. I am originally from one of the former soviet republics that remains oppressed by Russian regime, so this creates extra negative layer to me - on a relative level :). And as a Buddhist in the tradition of Kagyu and Nyingma lineages, I find these types of videos annoying and disturbing. What a waste of time and resources.
Were there any allegations against Trungpa from any of his students?
Yes. Lots and lots of students.
Badly read. Unbearable.
superficial, sensational and parts incorrect….hmm why to jump with this..
God. Narate this properly. Interesting but the rapid fire computerised speech is horrible.
Trungpa is a perfect expression of the 3rd level of evil. He was a life destroyer, he took everything from those stupid enough to follow him, and in the end they still loved him. This is the spiritual level of evil.
It's the worst kind of evil. The one who tells you they love you and then proceeds to destroy your soul.
Chogyam Trungpa inside is nothing but Bohdichitta. If we are not that it is wrong most of the time if we judge. Definite
That’s so weak.
I have always felt a darkness within tibetan buddhism. I have a strong aversion to it. You can see the corruption and you can see the ancient arrogance and ignorance. Buddhism feels like a cult to me at this point. Too much power, money and prestige! Please remember, no man is an idol!
All religious activities in tibetan buddhism have nothing to do with the teachings of buddha.
You’re assessment of Tibetan Buddhism is not based on a full
Enough education
@@paulastemarie7868you don"t need education to see the coruption and madness that's going on in tibetan buddhism.
Yeah, stay away. There is no point making a fool drink medicine while he thinks it’s poison.

Shambhala, Shambhala, Shambhala, everyone is searching for Shambhala. When Shambhala is directly under his holiness the Dalai lama. Please view the video, "Shambhala discovered for his holiness the Dalai Lama."
I am a student of Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche since 1972. I was in all of it and I saw all of it.Was there corruption? Of course! Part of what Trungpa did as teacher was undercut his
students’ attempts to gain influence in a corrupt manner. After he died, for a while, maybe ten years, his students carried on with the path he had laid out and it was beneficial. The
Regent? Yes, a problem, but he was exposed and disavowed by most students. His son, Sakyong Mipham? A bigger problem that really destroyed Trungpa’s teaching mandala and
is a problem to this day. Most of those who criticize Chogyam Trungpa weren’t there.
The big problem with Trungpa is the Atlantic ocean between his teachings and the often sordid reality of his life. How could someone tell us that we had to be sane in an insane world when at times he was so drunk when taken for a drive round the block he thought he had been to Bhutan?
All religious activities in tibetan buddhism have nothing to do with the teachings of buddha.
Now Showing:
Chogyam Trungpa - The Guru Who Shagged Many
All the madness that's going on in tibetan buddhism proves they have nothing understood of buddha's teachings.
Pema sat, excuse the pun, through Chogyam's bullshit.
She also walked the razor's edge. How one judges this matter is something of a Rorschach test of one's compassion and wisdom. I lived in Boulder during these tempestuous years and participated in the Shambhala program. I won't pretend to know what is the Truth of these matters, but I still believe there is such a notion, negating nihilism.
Mmm so she is an enabler and part of the problem. I don't trust any of them, they all creep me out. I let buddhism go long ago for my own experimental path of yoga.
Pema Chodron is all over the place right now raising money to buy Gampo Abbey from Shambhala International. She is feeding this insane cult. She relinquished her title but never left the institution. If you talk to the victims, Pema Chodron was complicit all along.
GAR BAGE for " Dharma " infected zombies !
Perhaps look deeper into the red & yellow hats that tell us to take "Bodhisattva Vow" & return as voluntary slaves, with mind wiped, to this prison planet?!!!
