I ordered the Flip 6. I have owned the Flip 3, 4 & 5. Every one had the same issue. At about 8 months the factory screen protector peels away from the main screen at the seam/hinge. Every one! Each time Samsung replaced the screen or protector under warranty.
Every year I trade in my current model for the new one. It used to be about $100 and included free accessories. Now, it's about $400.
I still ordered the Flip 6. New camera, battery, AI and software. We'll see if the main screen can last 1 year?
I'm just addicted to the form factor. It is so comfortable to fold it up and slip it into my pocket!

same here with my flip3 the problem with screen protector is that it always detaches at the crease part after 8months to a year. I'm wondering if the screen protector should be two separate parts, the top half and the bottom half have their own separate scree and leave the crease bare. I'm tempted to buy a screen protector and cut it in half to do just what I described

I'm at 11 months on my Flip 5 with no screen issue. I use it as designed and don't need to open it all that much, but I'm not a huge phone user either and just need to carry one. If you have a Flip but always open it maybe a foldable isn't best for your use case?

I had the screen protector issue too but no Samsung dealer anywhere near me. So the prospect of replacing the protector was 2 weeks to ship it across country and back. That was a no go. Wound up buying a 3 pack off Amazon for $12 and they seemed to last about same.

It's actually not a big deal. It peeled off my Flip4 after about 7/8 months and it has not been a problem at all. The glass is so strong that I have no scratches whatsoever. I even dropped it a couple times. Again, no issues. Thus, the screen protector is pretty much worthless. I just upgraded to the Flip6 and looking forward to getting it. Should be any day now.

Couldn’t agree more!!! It’s dumb but I think they went with these colors to sort of match the Olympics logo - black and white are Samsung exclusives, blue, green, yellow, and silver. Pink (light red) is on the fold. Maybe they’ll release more colors for a FE?

The Flip and Fold only gets six OS updates and an extra year of security updates. I agree that 12GB is needed on Samsung devices, and I argue that 16GB would be better future-proofing, especially on the Fold, which isn't an option.

I have a Galaxy Z Flip 5 I have been using it for my daily use, and I got no issues with battery life and more. And I have to say that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is a major upgrade for me because I love it so much especially I'm not upgrading to Z Flip 6 because it's the same baloney but different specs. So I don't even care about upgrading and the specs that they have inside the phone. I think the Z Flip 5 is number one.

I upgrade every other cycle. I have the Flip4 and just ordered the Flip6. But I agree with you, if you have the 5 there's little reason to upgrade to the 6 unless you want the seriously upgraded camera. But you might as well wait for the 7 at this time next year. It should be a much more worthy upgrade from the 5.

I like my flip 5 it has stood up to my labouring job and fits in my buttoned chest pocket so no stress of losing it. The only thing I hate is the slight bending in the frame over time it doesn't straighten out flush anymore.

I've always wanted a Flip because of the portable form factor, but the weak cameras put me off. The upgraded cameras and battery in the Flip 6 address that, so I've just pre ordered. There's 10% off if you order via the Samsung Shop app, another 5% off if you pre registered interest before launch and I got £220 trade in on my 3.5 year old Galaxy S20, so a 512GB Flip 6 cost just under £800, which is not bad. Looking forward to delivery on the 19th!!

I still had my Galaxy Z Flip 3, so yeah, it was a good upgrade for me to go with the 6. However, even with the three I found a work around, so I could use all of my apps on the smaller cover screen.
It's called sam sprung overlay service. It pretty much does the same thing that good luck does, but it came out before. Good luck. And it's not really affiliated with Samsung. It's kind of a after market app, but it does work. So I'm not going to complain. I'm still using it on my 6. As we speak, so I'm still going to check out the good lock to see if there's that much difference but. It is what it is. Something else I can tough out all the way. What is that bottom port on the right hand side of the Z Flip serious? On my section has one, it looks like an sd card slot?

I had a flip 4 for a 1.5 years. I was iPhone user for years prior. My flip had zero issues for the 1st year. Last week the top screen of the phone stopped working and the phone wouldn’t close. The screen was damaged even more when I closed it without force. Due to working from home and needing a phone to work, I switched back to Apple with iPhone Pro Max last week. I enjoyed my flip. I've just returned the S24 because that matt finish made it ridiculously slippery in my hands. I've always had glossy phones and, after he S24 experience, I'll stick to that going forward. Will have to try the Flip 6, which I'm interesting of getting, to see how it handles but I'm not optimistic because of that matt finish!

I had a the flip 4 as of last week. The top portion of the screen stopped working and I was unable to close my phone. The phone closed eventually but black spots appeared on the screen. I ended up switching back to iPhone.

​@nancyjones6235 Yeah, they keep upgrading the screen and the hinge. Last year was a big jump. Got the 5 this time last year and no issues at all. (so far)

@@djangomarine6658 I know I"m not typical, but just this year I upgraded from iPhone x to the 15. I'd had the X for probably five years. That's how long i expect a phone to last, at least. I'll be watching these phones.

The crease isn’t a big deal to me it’s how long will the glass last from popping out of the frame .

I would upgrade, but the trade-in deal Samsung is offering for my Z Flip 5 is disappointing. Hopefully they'll do better.

Was supposed to natively run any app VS having to get Good Lock!! Razr allows any app on outside screen....

Foldable screens always have and always will have annoying center lines and split with repeated folding. It's the basic physics of molecular structures.
Learn your physics and chemistry.
Like constant dripping water creates holes in solid rock over time. So repeated folding will split a screen.
Samsung knows these folding screens will fail much sooner than a traditional touch screen. That's why they are producing and pushing them. My neighbor's folding phone screen failed within a year.
