I have red Bronco (and a school bus Jeep). I put on 22g Treal wheels with RC4WD Mickey Thompson tires, Treal axel extenders/weights, Treal steering rod, and the double barrel shocks. I got an emax servo but it was defective. I have to get another one. I like the idea of taking the springs out. Like I said I need to get a new servo. I have a torque beast motor in my Jeep which is nice. I might put one of those or the Goliath Beast from CCXRC in there. I might switch the wheels out for the 40g wheels from Treal. Just to get even more weight! Great video! I just a camp at the school I work at, and all the kids got SCX24 crawlers as part of the camp! It has been so much fun!
Very cool stuff! So far on my Bronco I've done wheels, and tires. Shocks, suspension links, and steering link. I have an upgraded servo, and motor waiting to go in still. I need to get different shocks however as I got short ones at first. Didn't know the long travel ones would be better. I'm enjoying your build, looking forward to seeing what you do next!
Sounds like a great build! Some people like the shorter shocks. I prefer the longer ones because I’m obsessed with that crazy flex! I get my servo tomorrow thankfully. My stock one is having a very hard time with the new setup.
Just got into rc crawling and got the same exact rig. I got super excited when i came across this video and was really impressed with your content! Did all the RUclips things can’t wait to watch the rest of this build!!
Im in the exact same boat, my bronco arrives this week and i know that im gonna need to do some upgrades to it so i find this video really useful. I hope i can get my hands on the same stuff as im in the middle of europe so buying stuff from US or CN is really challenging.
The biggest problem is how top heavy it is. But when you start adding weight you also need to beef up the motor and battery. I’m about $150 in mods and pretty happy with it now. I’m gonna do overdrive gears and swap weighted wheels instead of hub weights. And upgrade the steering servo. Then I’m gonna start in on my scx3.
Before you get a new servo becuse it is weak unscrew it and take out the screw ( servo saver) and you will get a boost of power try it out or only takes 2 minutes
Great content, I'm new to the 1/24th scale. One quick comment...and its up to you, but you should think about swapping your fog lights with your headlights it's as easy as swapping channels that way you can switch on fog lights not the other way around. I love the channel and am now a new subscriber. Thanks
Thanks for watching! I will try the fog light swap. I would prefer to have the headlights on as opposed to the fog lights, so thats a good recommendation!
Always lol. I just got 3 scx24s. For my 2 sons and me. We're going to be fixing them all up. We have the deadbolt, jeep, and bronco. Stock the deadbolt just dominates lol
Nice job Man very well done video can’t believe u don’t have more subscribers very pro looking video I am more a builder and driver if u don’t want to change electronics out the samix 050 with the hole in the side is a super fast and still kinda slow crawls but lots of torc 15bucks cheap upgrade for motor and agf makes awesome servo like 45 bucks 🔥🔥👍
Received my Axial 1/24 Bronco yesterday Friday 2-3 -24 and my buddy and I done some test runs with it and noticed right away how top heavy the Bronco is. So its obvious its going to need some weight. Love the wheels you bought, those are super nice and look phenomenal, just what I want. What is your thoughts on the oil filled shocks such as on my Power wagon which performed way better than the Bronco and question 2 with the wheel and tire upgrade are you getting a lot of rub on the body. ? Overall really like the upgrade.
@capecrawlers How did you keep your front drive line from falling out at max flex? I have my shocks mounted in the exact spots you do but at full front flex my drive line likes to come out. Did you have this issue? Have you had it on other builds? Thanks
It’s kinda frustrating how many upgrades these 24s need out of the box. I have a C10 and have been wanting to get a deadbolt to upgrade. Into something similar to yours. By the time it’s done though all that would be left are axles the body and a handful of screws. I think I’ll just order the mofo chassis and build it from scratch. Save some room in the junk drawer.
Yes, they are a tinkers dream come true because you're always adding stuff to them! And after you use a modified one, you can never drive a stock one again, so any subsequent ones you buy get all the mods as well. Little money pits!
Is there a list of upgrades each build part 1 - 9. Just bought a bronco for myself and two other ones for my grandkids for Christmas. I needed one for myself and I’d like to go all out on it.
If you’re running no springs on the shocks, why doesn’t it just fall fully flat to the bottom of the travel? I put some Injora 43mm shocks on and it’s way too high now, especially in the front. I might try stock shorty springs on the new shocks to get the nose down
It ends up resting on chassis components. Servo, rear linkage mount, etc. Basically as bottomed out as the chassis will allow. I often run the stock springs in the double barrels. It's a good middle ground.
@@CapeCrawlers ok that’s what I thought . So I may do that as well once I order new shocks. Do you think I would be able to do it with the stock shocks for the time being ? I love your videos they are all amazing thank you for your content !
Tires and wheels for sure. Shocks are useless if you aren't getting adequate traction. I would suggest some flex extensions and a good set of beadlock wheels and tires.
Yup. Some good grippy tires and some beadlocks with the brass weights will keep it planted pretty nice. The added weight slows it down significantly too though so keep that in mind. Everything you add/change is gonna have a benefit and consequence.
Adam, I'm many mods in and wondering what your best mods are? I have a laundry list, more money than my Arrma 6s. Help me out, all the upgrades are not equalling crawl.
Best mods for the bronco in my opinion: heavy beadlock wheels and a good ~55MM tire, brass steering knuckles, brass diff covers, hex extensions and/or extended axles for stability, new servo, upgraded links with four link front, upgraded motor. Shocks are optional because what you want to do is add weight and keep the body low. The bronco needs stability.

I just bought me and my dad these trucks and are excited to be upgrading right alongside of you!
Love it! That’s so awesome that both you and your dad are into it. My son and I have a great time with ours.
Your videos are so great! really appreciate you taking the time to make them. i love this little crawler
Glad you like them, thanks for watching!
@@CapeCrawlers absolutely bro. ill be watching more too
Man what a difference with just a couple of mods. The test section of your track looks fairly simple yet it’s full of hard lines.
Huge difference! The bronco responded so well to what we did here.
This video is so great! Thanks for taking the time to make it
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Yeah I’ve have 4 sets of those bumper relocation brackets they work great
Just picked some of these tires and "disc brakes" kuz of this video, thanks for the links! 👍🏽👍🏽

Thank you! I'm having a lot of fun making the videos, so I'll keep turning them out!
I did the same thing with big tires small foams. 👍🏽
I think it’s the perfect combo!
Pretty heavy out the box. It’ll be cool to see the improvements.

I had to press my treal spacers into the injora wheels. While they fit I don't think they're ever coming our if I decide to change wheels.
Yikes! I ran into that somewhat. Had to yank them out with needle nosed pliers.
Just weighed my Red bronco With all mofo RC brass upgrades, 562 g

Is there a list of upgrades each build part 1 - 9. Just bought a bronco for myself and two other ones for my grandkids for Christmas. I needed one for myself and I’d like to go all out on it.
Do you mean a comprehensive list, or individual lists from each episode?
How do you build the inside course
I still can't get that articulation with mine.... Have hex extensions coming, maybe that's it? I have the same shocks too, on the same mounts.
Did you do the one o-ring trick? What about your linkage, have you upgraded your links?

@@blairtoland1 I've see guys trim the springs shorter as well, if you want to try that.
did you every figure out how to keep the double barrels from opening up a lot on verticals? i tried elastic seems to open a lot still
I used rubber bands for limiting straps: ruclips.net/user/shorts2cFlJfdcZj8?feature=share
Did you mount the long travel shocks to the frame or the stock suspension point ?
To the frame

They could have, but I take the springs out so it sits super low

How can I keep my double barrel shocks from binding? I can’t get it to flex as much as I want

Does those spacers work on any wheel
Most wheels. Sometimes they’re a tight fit, but they should fit most 1.0 wheels
So I bought a bronco but have a limited amount for the moment for upgrading would you say shocks or tires are more necessary?

Motor and battery too. Trust me I’m a doctor.
What size tire 55mm?
Yes, 54mm according to Injora.
Are you still running factory links?
No, I’ve since upgrade to the Injora high clearance links and with 4-link conversion in the front
Useless!!!! you don't show your install
