Choir nerd kudos for their technical skills! I have followed the The Swingles since their first incarnation as Ward Swingle's 'Swingle Singers' in 1962. They have always insisted on the most remarkable control over pitch and vibrato. They can sing in perfect tune, and hold notes with almost zero vibrato until it's called for, usually at the ends of phrases.
