Living in Germany, a soup that we enjoy so much is potato soup. It consists of white potatoes, onions, pancetta or bacon, leeks, carrots, celeriac (which you can leave out if you don't like it), Cabanossi (a dry spiced, cooked sausage made from pork and beef) which you can substitute for smoked sausage if you can't find it, and chicken stock. Chop all the veggies and fry the bacon off in a saucepan in a little butter, add the veggies, then the potatoes, chicken stock and add water to fill it along with two bay leaves. Allow to slow boil for thirty minutes, take off the heat and blend before adding cream if you want to (it helps as it can be a little thick, or you can add water). Slice the Cabanossi into small pieces, fry it off and top the soup with it as well as salad herbs if you have them. It's delicious, it's my go to when I feel sick, need a little comfort or when it's just grey and horrible. The below ingredients list serves four so you can probably triple it for your family. 500g potatoes 3 carrots 1 large leek 200g bacon or pancetta 2 large onions 150g celeriac 750ml chicken stock 200g Cabanossi or smoked sausage 2 bay leaf Salt and Pepper to taste Would love for you to try it and let me know what you think. They all loved ❤ to come up to Oregon and love the fresh orchards where we could go out and either buy fresh fruit right from the farmers stands or better yet pick peaches, pears and apples for grandma or my mom's sister and brothers work on delicious projects like peach cobbler, apple pies, fresh picked corn added into fresh picked green beans that would cook over gas flames all day in a huge pot. We would also fish on the Rogue river for salmon or steelhead to grill or smoke. The guys loved to fish in our pond just a short meadow stroll from our front door We gave our country neighbors many laughs as we were city people living life on our new adventures. They loved to see our old used Ford pickup, probably from the '40's slowly driving by, the bed of the pick up with folding chairs lined up filled with women and children with soda's & flashlights in hand to reflect light onto deer, skunks and porcupines eyes.. All the wildlife we had, never hunting with guns. We must have look like we were putting on a parade as we slowly drove by with our flashlights looking at ground level and up into the orchards where we thought we would be able to see some deer. We always did see skunks because you could smell them and we would know we were getting close and tell them, get ready, get your your flashlights ready cuz we're going to hurry up and go by fast!
I used to work w/ Wegmans buyers to bring in produce to the terminals in NY & PA. The warehouses were super picky about what would be accepted. It surprises me the individual stores aren't the same.

When I need a piping bag for frostings, I use a gallon zipper bag and just snip off a corner for the size tip I need. Works great, disposable and cheaper than buying a piping bag.
31:13 Take a facecloth, wet it and put in the freezer in a ziploc bag. When it’s frozen he can put it on his face and it will mold to the shape of his face. Works great as an ice pack!
Costco has the waffle maker with interchangeable plates that’s different shapes instead of having individual waffle makers. Would make it easier and less space used up.
I wish my Costco would have it I have made a couple Special trips looking for the waffle maker and can’t find it but maybe with the holidays coming my Costco will get it 🤞🏻
When we make ham for a dinner we cook it in cherry coke. It draws all the saltiness out of the meat and gives it a sweetness, Its delicious. We wont make it any other way.
Bags of gold soup from the girl scout hand book. 1 or two industrial size tomato or chicken noodle soup about 4 family size. Made as directed. 3 or 4 cans of refrigerator biscuits a couple bags of cubed cheese. Place a cube of cheese inside a biscuit seal shut drop into soup . Boil about 15 minutes . serve cook time about 25 minutes

You and I at the supermarket. Folks are looking like I'm going to buy up the entire store. Even at Costco folks are like "she has four of those flatbread carts." Yup, when you have ten boys, and a hubby the size of a linebacker you are going to spend a lot on groceries.

Her husband is a teacher and supposedly makes over 100k plus they have extra money that they make from RUclips and sponsorships. They do get some money from adopting kids that they fostered.
How does the fruit taste in the US? UK fruit is tasteless and I rarely buy it, most I guess is shipped from a million miles away and ‘ripens’ in the cargo hold or is hot house grown 🤷♀️
We have 🍎 🍑 🍐 🌳 trees.fresh off the branch..nothing compares..except farmers markets..my hubby dehydrated most of leftovers..taste so much better than store bought..we share with many nieghbors..I know everyone can't grow their own..but find a neighbor, farmers market..helps local growers and much healthier..

But she will no longer have instant dinner dishes done by just collecting all the paper plates and throwing them out it will probably take her three loads to get just the dinner plates and glasses. Clean as you go as you do now with any cooking pots and mixing bowls so those are already done and the kitchen sink will be empty so that the dishes can sit in there and begin rinsing somebody could always start the hot water and the Dawn dish soap.

For candles if you’re worried about a burning flame in their rooms, they have candle warmers, I believe I got mine from Walmart. It heats from the bottom or the top down depending on the kind. But once you use the candle warmer then you can’t light it with a lighter not sure why but that’s just what it says
That is super cheap for those Tuscany candles! Online they are over $25 each If you LOVE the smell of coffee get the cafe' mocha one! OMG it smells so amazing. I bought 6 at my local grocery to pair it with a book and a soft throw. (Last minute Christmas gifts)
my favorite soup for the winter or honestly all year is called pozole it’s a Mexican dish that can be fancied up or eaten simple but it’s basically hominy stew with meat of you’re choosing+toppings it’s delicious ☺️
Homemade vegetable soup is a favorite of ours I used the veg all home style veggies hamburger meat onions diced tomatoes and vegetable juice or v8 we use 3 cans of homestyle veg all 3 cans tomatoes 1 onion I can vegetable juice 2 lbs hamburger meat you can use as much as you want I never measure the soup is always better the next day
You really should try Erwtensoep (pea soup) . Its a Dutch soup that we eat through the hole winter. It contains carrots, sellery, peas, coriander, small cuts of bacon and some other ingredients There are lots of recepices online :)

My fav. soup FOREVER is a Homemade Egyptian soup called 'Lesan Asfour with vegetables' we make it with chicken broth it depends on type of pasta we call 'Lesan Asfour' I think it is called 'Rice Pasta' in English, you fry it with a little amount of oil until it becomes golden and add it to frozen vegetables mix we call soup vegetables 'peas, small chopped potato, small chopped carrots, and green beans' and when my Mom wanted to spoil us she shredded some cooked chicken and put it in the soup

Also, I don't need them to go on the floor, for others to get an expensive prn especially if I paid for them You work hard for your Family. If it's a pen you don't care about? whatever... You have all them kids in sports...how can you not have reusable ice packs in your freezer at all times? They aren't that expensive...you probably need at least six all the time ready to use.
I also aquire bruises, scrapes and cuts all the time and many times have no idea how it happens. The bruises someone points it out. I am aware of fresh scratches and cuts when I shower and the soap hits it. 😢

For Switzerland it could be a barley soup (i.e. Buendner Gerstensuppe or my own version with rolled barley, carrotts, potatoes, leek, savoy, celery root, onions, borlotti beans, vegetable brooth and optional boiled beef meat, very rich in nutrients and perfect for cold days). Your videos always make my day better. Got an idea for you on the soups. You could do soups from around the world. Like minestrone or wedding soup, etc. I make an egg drop soup with chicken broth, soft tofu, green onions and eggs. I also squeeze freah lemon in it to give it extra flavor. Thicken the broth with a corn startch slurry. But it is super easy. and hearty. Great for those chilly nights :) lentil soup is also delicious, split pea, clam chowder. I bet you get a zillion suggestions :) cannot wait to have you share the ones you choose with is all.
I have been doing soup once a week lately to! My favorites so far are cheddar broccoli, cheese tortellini soup, potato soup, taco soup, homemade chicken and noodle, cheeseburger soup, and I know it’s not a soup but chili is always a hit. Almost all I made in my crockpot

I would love it if the stores around me were this picky. Our produce had been less than acceptable for the most part since the pandemic.

Hint with grapes: gently push two sides of the grape. If the grape feels hard, it's yummy! 😊

my favorite soup for the winter or honestly all year is called pozole it’s a Mexican dish that can be fancied up or eaten simple but it’s basically hominy stew with meat of you’re choosing+toppings it’s delicious ☺️
Homemade vegetable soup is a favorite of ours I used the veg all home style veggies hamburger meat onions diced tomatoes and vegetable juice or v8 we use 3 cans of homestyle veg all 3 cans tomatoes 1 onion I can vegetable juice 2 lbs hamburger meat you can use as much as you want I never measure the soup is always better the next day
Ginger Ale Ham is so good, and you can still decorate it with pineapple slices and cherries and the drippings make a fantastic gravy.

You really should try Erwtensoep (pea soup) . Its a Dutch soup that we eat through the hole winter. It contains carrots, sellery, peas, coriander, small cuts of bacon and some other ingredients There are lots of recepices online :)
I don't try my grapes in store but I do give them a gentle little squeeze. I will only buy firm to the touch grapes.

My fav. soup FOREVER is a Homemade Egyptian soup called 'Lesan Asfour with vegetables' we make it with chicken broth
it depends on type of pasta we call 'Lesan Asfour' I think it is called 'Rice Pasta' in English, you fry it with a little amount of oil until it becomes golden and add it to frozen vegetables mix we call soup vegetables 'peas, small chopped potato, small chopped carrots, and green beans'
and when my Mom wanted to spoil us she shredded some cooked chicken and put it in the soup
It might help you to tie your pen to your backpack purse like I do. Im Very picky about my pens because I need them to work when I need them to work. Also, I don't need them to go on the floor, for others to get an expensive prn especially if I paid for them
You work hard for your Family. If it's a pen you don't care about? whatever... I get the feeling you pay for your pens for your shopping trips.

I also aquire bruises, scrapes and cuts all the time and many times have no idea how it happens. The bruises someone points it out. I am aware of fresh scratches and cuts when I shower and the soap hits it. 😢

Your videos always make my day better. Got an idea for you on the soups. You could do soups from around the world. Like minestrone or wedding soup, etc. I make an egg drop soup with chicken broth, soft tofu, green onions and eggs. I also squeeze freah lemon in it to give it extra flavor. Thicken the broth with a corn startch slurry. But it is super easy. and hearty. Great for those chilly nights :) lentil soup is also delicious, split pea, clam chowder. I bet you get a zillion suggestions :) cannot wait to have you share the ones you choose with is all.
