We had our first snow of the season this week so it’s time to get Winter Gear for my 11 kids. Come shopping with me for coats, snow pants, snow boots, hats and mittens!

Maybe if you let them choose their own winter coat they would wear it? Just an idea.

I don’t know if you will see this comment but it’s 2 o’clock in the morning and I can’t sleep and watching you shop for snow boots is so comforting. I don’t even know why. ❤

at that point just let the ones who are over 12 years pick their own crap out... who has the time or patience for their complaining..
they also need to learn to take care of their stuff and stop acting like losing literally everything is no big deal..
PS...kids either lose their coats or wear them out so you can't use these things as hand me downs..also,at the beginning of the video she already explained that Nana went through the winter clothing...please rewind and listen to what she says..she explains everything 🙄❤
My son doesn't like to wear coats either 😂😂 just hoodies it's definitely a teen thing
My daughter will layer with shirts, hoodies, jean jacket but won’t put on one coat but will wear a peacoat for fashion 😂
my grandson is 14 and omg he has never ever been able to tolerate cold, he actually sits by the heat vents, but now he is 14 and all he will wear is a hoodie!!
You should see my eldest closet. Nothing but hoodies. It's literally packed.
I live in NY and we all wear Under Armour, Adidas or Columbia hoodies even when it’s snowing because they are warm and less bulky than coats, and no having to stuff them in lockers to get stolen by other clowns.
How is James doing with his culinary classes? Haven't seen him lately.
I cannot buy clothes without my children... they like to choose what to wear , the colour and style is important for them, plus comfort, without them I do not know wheter it fits well or not...

They are great kids! I loved Patrick dancing in his boots. :)
They never forget to be Grateful & Thankful for being both Adopted by Josh & Alicia, and for everything they receive❤They're both great Kids! Actually, ALL of Alicia & Josh's, Childern, are Amazing Humans😘❤

Why dont the younger ones wear the coats from your older Kids?

I hope at least the old coats were at least donated. Like where I am from they have a program that collects used coats for kids and gives them away to needy families.
@@ninahuttche4596 I have three girls and the youngest two are only two sizes off she gets some of her sister old stuff which it’s nothing wrong with that but she’s still getting new Winter stuff. She isn’t going to wear the same coat every single day
There’s a pretty big size difference between the olders and youngers. So they’d just sit and not be used by anybody. I have a huge feeling she does donate old clothes or give to family members and friends, based off the fact she used to have a little pantry thing for clothes in her basement, not sure if she still does because it hasn’t been mentioned in awhile.
I never realized how expensive it can be to have kids in states that snow.... I've always lived in southern Florida.
Right?! I lived in southern California my whole life, and I’m a senior now, I would buy coats occasionally but rarely ever wore them. It’s definitely an added expense.
Luckily in Australia we don’t need so much snow things unless you go to Thredbo (which a snow resort here ) in winter , but other then that we don’t need it thankfully. We do get cold here for sure, but as I said only certain places in Australia it snows in winter, probably sounds weird but it’s true.
This is not normal lol. I live in Northern Canada...we're talking -40°- -50°. I shop used, and pass down clothed through my kids. They do not get new clothes every single season. And they don't have 4 different types of coats. They have a fall/spring coat, if it's a little too chilly they add a sweatshirt underneath. And then they have a heavy duty winter coat. This is totally giving everyone a wrong view of 'cold' states lol

It's never too early to Christmas shop. Next time you come there those all may be gone. Get them now!!! Less you have to do in Dec!!!

I have an idea of what to do for your children's clothes especially if it's in good condition. If they have outgrown them donate them to your local Charity Stores.

i totally understand the winter wear buying each year, i have to buy my grand kids new coats every year and hats, gloves scarves ear muffs, and it gets very expensive and Michigan's already getting snow

I’m thankful for every little thing this year. Times are rough and expensive but it’s still been a great year. 😊 happy holidays!
When I was a little girl I wore a snow suit the pants had suspenders on them and a thick coat and boots. this was in the late 60s
This made me order my daughter's winter coat. She's had the same one for about two years. We live around DC where it rarely snows, so just a coat for now 😂
She's in Buffalo NY it's not so much the snow at this point it's COOOOOOLD they get that air from Canada it's freezing up there in October
One nice thing about winter gear is that even if something is too big, because you wear so many laters underneath, you can get away with it. When you have thick socks on or a sweater, you need items to be a bit bigger.

I know you said your hair doesn't grow from someone that deals with cancer patients.... Buy yourself the nioxin set. Or if it's to expensive try Amla oil with coconut milk(not coconut oil) apply as a treatment after washing. Only rinse after use. Use cool water.

We get cold and snow in the uk so we have to get winter boots and coat you pick some nice things for the winter xx

Quick tip to check if a winter coat is going to be warm take your hand and put in the coat and breath into it if u feel your breathe then it's not going to be warm...i do this all the time..zero exposure brand is the ultimate for site specially coats but these all the time my opinion the best

My mom used to tell me jokingly when I was a teen that "teenagers can part the rain and never be wet, they can also lit themselves on fire and never be cold. Really, teenagers are mostly waterproof anyway !"
My 16 year old tells me a pullover hoodie is more then enough to keep him warm in the winter

@@junebuchholtz287and we have also sinterklaas which is the birthday of Saint Nicholas on December 5th. So presents need to be bought twice that month! Luckily we are just with 2 for Christmas day and the next day we will go to my parents house to have dinner so I don't need to make a fancy diner (which my daughter would not eat)
